They are in NC apparently- I think it may be the place owned by the person that owns their California house- not sure though. Most students with fami,it’s spend all the vacation working but Jeremy has his book and a guest spot in Laredo and still seems to fund a new pair of Nikes every week.

Black Mountain, NC, in the Blue Ridge Mtns. About 15 miles east of Asheville, and right next to Montreat, home of Billy Graham. I'll be looking out for posts of them visiting various Billy Graham stuff, like the Billy Graham Library.

[unless y'all think Billy is too liberal for Jeremy?]

Thank you for using refillable pods. It makes me cringe hard hearing about people using the single-use pods. All that plastic…

Im a tea drinker, but occasionally pull out the little French press and locally roasted beans. Oddly to me, Portland has at least two relatively well-known and popular roasters, but I think they’re vile. They always taste sour to me, no matter who made it or how.

You're not alone. Disposable pod users, please reconsider! I used to have a Coffee Ninja and it was almost as easy as pods but you measured ground coffee into a filter basket. (no paper filter required.) Love from an environmental scientist

I don't understand how all the Duggars seem to be able to take trips all the danged time.  Branson, Magnolia, oceanside, skiing. Seems like one of them is on a trip all the time. I don't like to travel so maybe I just put my priorities in different places. And I don't have closet space for all those girls' clothes. Can't decide if I'm frugal or cheap, but they sure spend lots of money without working real jobs, when I  decide which groceries I can buy this week.

He was seriously famous, so I think Jeremy can get over whatever doctrinal differences may be involved.

Jinger did a family update on the Hope we Hold account;

The girls are growing

Jeremy did a couple of theology courses and a preaching stint in Laredo

They will be travelling a bit

They will enjoy walks and maybe an ice cream in LA

That’s it.

For a family who relies on the Duggar Family and previous show for money, the Vuolos certainly avoid NWA like the plague. I wonder what their plans are? I wonder how JB decides who gets what amount?

I would be most surprised if Jeremy hadn’t come to some arrangement with either TLC or JB. He is too worldly to allow Jinger to be deprived of her legitimate earnings. I would imagine that, whilst he probably went about negotiations in a different way than the Dillards, he certainly would have learnt from what they did as the Dillards (I think) were the first to insist on receiving their share of the earnings. I hope that JB is having difficulty keeping control of all the money. If ALL the adult “kids” joined forces to push for their individual slice of the proverbial pie I rather think that he would have to concede defeat (kicking and screaming naturally!) Maybe the situation with the potential legal fees for Josh might enable some of the kids to band together to try to get something before everything is spent on Josh. Here’s hoping that this is the beginning of the end of JB having such a financial control over his children.

@Angelface I agree- these two are just too confident in their lifestyle to have not made arrangements of some sort.

Jeremy probably sat back and let Derick run at the situation like a bull at barn door and when the dust settled he put the idea into JB’s head that California was awfully expensive and, given Jinger’s popularity with the fans, it would be a real shame if the show lost another main protagonist.
Now that the whole gravy train is under threat I imagine it’s every man for himself in Duggarville and Jeremy is trying to convince TLC they are the only ones worth filming - glamorous life, well away from NWA so no accidental glimpses of Josh or the parents and their kids are not on SM so viewers would watch for catch ups. It would be totally dull but nobody can ever accuse Jeremy of having low self esteem.

Honestly, I always got the vibe that Jeremy does not like JB.  I don't think he ever did, yet somehow managed to tolerate him well enough for JB to OK courtship / engagement / marriage.   If Jeremy or any other suitor had showed open dislike, that would kill any possibility of courtship because JB's ego so if that is the case, Jeremy did a pretty good job of faking it.

Nor do I think he would stand for JB holding onto money that rightfully goes to Jinger, so I think he made some sort of arrangement to get it.   Just don't know how but seems he did not go the Derick Dillard route.

:greetings-waveyellow: My sister & her family are coming up next week. We are meeting at Citizens Bank Park! Haven't seen her for two years. They took us to an Astros game & now we get to return the favor. I'm hoping we'll be near a really great classic funny Philly guy so they get a real philly experience.  They, and we, are visiting every MLB parks. We have 10 so far.

Fun! CBP is such a good park. I just wish the Phillies were as good right now as the Astros lol. I hope you guys have a great time. You certainly would have had some stories to tell if you sat near me when I was at the Luke Williams walk-off game.

I'm jealous of all the ballparks you've been to too. Besides CBP, I've only been to PNC Park and Nationals Park.

And yesterday, they were getting coffee in Biltmore Village, Asheville.  No offense to you Southern Sorority Girls out there, but I always feel like I shouldn't step foot in Biltmore Village without wearing Lily Pulitzer and/or a monogrammed item of clothing.

You know, if Jing and Jer had more hustle, they would have tried to line up some book signings during this trip. But they don't seem to have.

Yes but they need a break after all their hard work doing zoom call ‘book club’ ( where they only talked about their book) with the proletariat.

They are break out stars you know.

Southern sorority girl here, albeit from a small liberal arts school, but I feel the same way about Biltmore Village. I’ve only been to Asheville in winter, but the women I see are always perfectly made up and dressed while I’m in jeans and a very large pea coat to keep from getting cold.

I don’t know how many people from Asheville would have bought their book though since it’s a pretty liberal town. They could definitely get signings in other parts of NC though if they really wanted to, but honestly, if they wanted their book to be like Audrey and Jeremy Roloff’s, they should be doing way more marketing for it. They’re half assing it like they always do and just expect that their “fame” will pull people in.

I wonder if having some of the adult kids pretty much MIA from the show has brought any of the money talks to a head. I would be pretty pissed if I'm being filmed giving birth and my sibling opts out of even a talking head and yet Daddy is apportioning us the same allowance.

Assuming you are local. Baltimore is great and not too far!

Yes, Astros have won 11 in a row. As I type this, we just blew game 1 against the Mets. :(

I've been to Baltimore, just not to see an Orioles game. I would love to go there and to Yankees Stadium. I don't think I could handle being at Citi Field lol. These games against the Mets this weekend have been brutal.

I heard my Uncle from Syracuse, New York complain that it was 85 degrees F.

A few weeks ago the new neighbors from New Hampshire mentioned that it was hot. It was maybe 80 degrees at the most. This is their first summer in the deep South. I just smiled and laughed to myself.

I live just south of Syracuse. It's currently 84 degrees at 10 AM but the humidity is already at almost 70%, That's what gets us. Yesterday the high reached 90 but with the super high dew points the heat index was near 100. I'm from Alabama originally and have family in Arizona, so I understand heat but this humidity is awful. It makes the air feel so heavy and it's heard to breath. Plus you start sweating before you even really start moving.

Its a Presbyterian Church in America camp: http://www.ridgehaven.org/about

But he was preaching specifically to a Christian youth event called Camp Abide. You may want to take some anti-nausea meds before you look at his promo: https://www.instagram.com/p/CPTwo3yHuAH/

It ended June 25.

I love baseball but I'm dreading the new season because the White Sox ownership is THE FUCKING WORST. I watched Dominican League Baseball (Lidom!) over the winter and fell in love with their joy, spirit, and exuberance. The broadcasts were in Spanish and my Spanish is pretty weak but I loved catching phrases and repeating them. Bombe! I'm sad about MLB and Commissioner Idiota's busywork rules. But I love baseball, always and forever.
I guess I don't have a point. Just bitching. Te amo mucho, Lidom!

Feeling ragey this morning. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon in the hope of getting help for an ongoing injury. I went to a (different!!) doctor late last year who completely blew me off. He wouldn't do diagnostic testin, he refused to send me to a specialist, and he just told me to "take it easy" and "take ibuprofen." I'm hopeful for today's appointment but I'm also feeling a SEVERE amount of rage at that doctor from last year!

Well, the rash is back with a vengeance. It never completely cleared up. I saw the derm yesterday and they did another swab and yup, raging infection again, still? It is definitely strep skin infection. I am getting so damn tired and run down from this. Who the f would immagine being hospitalized freaking TWICE for a rash?

My niece is going to be a seat filler at this year's Academy Awards.  Seat fillers are asked to wear tuxedos regardless of sex/gender.  If you see a pretty young woman with very curly hair, it could be my niece.
