Abbie is such a stupid, ignorant asshole. Not only does she go on vacation and indoor dining in the middle oh a pandemic. No, she also goes to the gym (of course) and brings her infants with her (!!!!) in car seats. For anyone who doesn’t have kids, you are never supposed to leave babies in infant car seats outside of the car because the angle is all wrong and there is a risk of suffocation.

I honestly have never seen someone quite so self-absorbed and self-important.  She doesn't seem to realize that if her Instagram disappeared tomorrow, no one would notice because there are UMPTEEN THOUSAND CHRISTIAN MOMMY GRAMMERS EXACTLY LIKE HER.

Is she really so self-important and haughty that she has to put out an FYI about what sorts of questions are appropriate to ask her so that she won't get bothered by repeats and the immense emotional labor it takes her to skim and disregard her messages? It was always eye-rolly to me when she'd mention something (like whatever that stupid exploding bunnies game is that they play), and say "google it" preemptively, like she's going to be inundated with troublesome questions. Jesus Christ, Abbs, if you are going to style yourself as an influencer - no matter how sucky you are at it - maybe you should accept that answering fanmail is part of the job?

Yep. And she continually, and I mean every single week that she has the posts encouraging folks to her anything, scolds people who ask questions that she has answered in the past. People are busy, they likely don’t read every week or are going to dig into your archives from 8 years to find an answer to a question that they might have. She absolutely has the worst temperament for both parenting and gracefully and politely interacting with others. Quite frankly, she comes off as a cold hearted biotch. Who would ask her any kind of question that had to do with parenting, faith or anything heartfelt? 
 

Seriously, she is among the worst fundies. She can’t even fake it. It’s as if she has to make everyone as miserable as she is-

You guys, Abbie is so contradictory. She makes money from blogging and getting hits to her IG account. More followers= A greater opportunity to earn money and sell her art, book...So why does she go out of her way to turn people off? WTH is wrong with her? Does she not know how to properly treat potential customers?

With how she presents, infamous is far more likely. Can you imagine asking her a question that you think is in her wheelhouse and she scolds you? Think a desperate young mom of many...Would anyone treated that way by a loud and proud, self purported “Christian” ever return to her page or buy anything from her?

First off, I really dislike birds as pets for 90% of the population. Birds, even parakeets, are not like other pets. They are intelligent creatures that need stimulation and a great deal of attention. They're also more emotionally complex than dogs or cats. The larger the bird, the more they need. It kills me when people like Abbie buy any animal like they're a toy to entertain children but it really breaks my heart when it's a bird. Birds are not great pets and I say this as someone who has owned birds. The seed scatter, the poop, the constant water changes, the attention needs, all makes for a bad pet in a busy household. 

Abbie has a hard time being emotionally honest with herself. She doesn't seem to able to separate the concepts of children are always a blessing/sometimes life sucks. No one is saying that you stop loving your kid when they crap on the rug in front of you, but stop acting like the kid crapping is sanctifying. Sometimes a turd on the rug is just a turd on the rug, not a special gift from God so that you can learn grace.

I’m not a Christian so I’ve never said my children are blessings. And I don’t believe they are. Just like I don’t believe they are born sinners. Like Braggie has stated. I believe they are tiny humans that can be extremely difficult, fun, rewarding, frustrating, hilarious, wild, smart, and just plain cute. But blessings and sinners? Nah.

Oh agree. I was just using Abbie's own words. While I don't call my child a blessing, she is even as an adult, the single greatest gift that life has ever given me. There have been times when I haven't liked her very much and other times when she made me want to pull my hair out but she will always be infinitely precious to me. She doesn't owe me anything. I'm happy with whatever makes her happy.

The difference between me and Abbie is that I don't see my child as an extension of myself or as a symbol of my personal struggle. Abbie sees her kids as a spiritual cross to bear instead of recognizing them as small people with wills of their own. It's disgusting that she uses them as some kind of tool for mental flagellation as a way to achieve... I'm not exactly sure what. Favor from her God? A mansion in heaven? I honestly don't understand the end goal. All I know is that she comes across as being far from stable enough to have 10 "blessings".

I feel the same way. Yes, they are blessings in many way but they are not extensions of me. They are definitely their own people. There were/are times I don't like them very much, they're on what's left of my last nerve, but they are the best things that ever happened to me. I didn't plan on having 3 "mini-mes", any similarities between them and me are purely coincidental.

Perhaps if her friend's accounts are being removed "for no reason at all" (yeah right), she should take a closer look at who she's aligning herself with. Abbie and her ilk want total freedom to spread hate and vitriol without any social consequences. Sorry sweetheart, that's not how life works.

The account she referred to is Vanilla Tulip, who I have followed off and on through the years. It honestly surprised me because she is a pretty basic conservative homeschooler who never goes to deep or controversial. I’ve looked at her page even in the last few months and nothing had seemed to change. I stopped following her a few years ago mostly because I found her account kind of boring. They are in a collab account with some other homeschoolers but it’s pretty boring too.

Biden’s catholic, that’s not real Christianity, whereas trump was obviously born again, which is why all of his sins don’t count /s. The nice thing about being born again is that you can do that time and time again: commit a “sin”, accept Jesus into your heart, rinse, repeat.

Same goes for missions to Eastern Europe IMHO. Folks there are often (not always of course!) deeply religious. It's just not the narrow evangelical type of faith that fundies hold.

Here it is for those who can't see it on Insta. Abbie is such a smug bitch. How does she not see that her total reliance on religion is just a socially acceptable crutch that's no different than wine or Netflix? I would feel differently if her faith wasn't so blind. 

I also find it condescending and awful that she uses the term social justice gospel. Are the goals of social justice that different than her own gospel? Abbie isn't "sitting at the feet of Jesus", she's created a delusion and placed herself at the center of it. People who fight on behalf of social justice issues are actually working to make this world, and the only life we know we have, a better place. Meanwhile Abbie idles away her days playing with rugs and getting knocked up because Jesus. Give me break. Don't assign yourself as the arbiter of morality unless you're actually doing the work.
