I see that the CPD has formally cancelled the debates since Fuck Nugget refused to participate virtually.

Quote

The Commission on Presidential Debates on Friday canceled the second debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden after the President declined to do a virtual debate despite concerns over his Covid-19 diagnosis, organizers said.

The cancellation is the culmination of a furious 48-hour back-and-forth between the commission and both campaigns and means what would have been the third debate in Nashville on October 22 will likely be the final meeting between the two candidates. The Wall Street Journal was first to report on the commission's decision.

"It is now apparent there will be no debate on October 15, and the CPD will turn its attention to preparations for the final presidential debate scheduled for October 22," the commission said in a statement.

The commission, with the backing of their health advisers, announced on Thursday morning that -- because Trump tested positive for the coronavirus -- the debate that was scheduled for Miami would be held virtually, with the two candidates appearing from remote locations. Trump swiftly rejected that plan, saying he would not show up and setting off a series of events that put the future of all general election debates into question.

I think the debate should have gone on as scheduled and if that Nugget of Fuck refused to show up his loss and it was time for him to face the consequences for once in his rather useless life.

Well , in a personal update , I just today went along with my mother , as she dropped off her and my sister's absentee votes , and then voted early myself .  My father will be early voting sometime later .  Let's just say that if the Trump administration does suppress absentee votes , all it would have accomplished , as far as it concerns my family is that my early vote for Biden would cancel out my dad's for Trump .  So it would backfire big time .  Still , I hope that everyone's vote will count , come what may . And , needless to say , I also hope , and pray , that Biden will end up winning the electoral vote ,  along with the popular vote .

The conclusion: they knew before the debate Trump was positive.

This makes the deliberate masklessness of his entourage all the more egregious.

FB in action

Quote

Facebook announced Thursday that it removed a number of fake accounts that the platform said were tied to a network operated on behalf of Turning Point USA, a pro-Trump conservative student organization.

The social media company said it removed 200 Facebook accounts, 55 pages and 76 accounts on Facebook-owned Instagram since the start of the month as part of the operation.

About 373,000 accounts followed one or more of the removed pages, and around 22,000 people followed one or more of the Instagram accounts. Approximately $973,000 was spent on ads for Facebook and Instagram by both inauthentic and authentic accounts removed as part of the network, according to Facebook.

In addition to removing the accounts, Facebook said Rally Forge is now banned from its platform. Turning Point USA’s official Facebook page, with more than 2 million followers, is still up on the platform.

Judge says election officials in Kansas City have to accept mail in ballots dropped off in person.

However idiot attorney general (r) in Missouri is trying to suppress absentee ballots (specifically those not notarized due to covid concerns- and frankly I logiced my way thru the options and chose. “At risk for contracting or speeding covid” which does not require a notary.  They can’t prove that based on voter info alone, also I do have some risks such as a long history of sinus infections, colds and the like that go to my lungs and ineffective coughs (the common cold makes me bark like a seal and my mother put me on adult cough medicine back in the 70s when I was the ripe age of 7)

Spoiler

Legal minds, I need help on this one.

If I remember right, doesn't having something notarized tend to cost money unless you're having bank papers notarized for an in a bank or something? Couldn't this be seen as a poll tax, if you have to pay to have something notarized in order to mail and vote? Or do they get around it by saying if you don't want to pay you show up on the day?

Too many years ago for me to remember the details (i.e., unsure if it was county or statewide), a lawsuit was brought saying having to pay postage on ballots was, in effect, a poll tax.  Since that time, our ballots have arrived with return postage prepaid.

This sort of thing just mystifies me, especially in a time of a public health emergency.  We plan to drop off our mail-in ballots at a ballot collection box to avoid the USPS and Covid exposure.  This should be totally legal, no questions asked.  Please, powers that be, just let us exercise our right to vote in the safest and surest ways possible!

I've been able to have stuff notarized without it costing money - I used my insurance agent for that since he's a notary here in Iowa.  I've also used my local bank but they won't notarize things like wills.  I once had legal aid notarize some documents when I was starting an IT job where I wasn't doing orientation at their office.

Here's some other places that offer the service: https://www.thebalanceeveryday.com/where-to-notarize-affidavit-896914

Hopefully this shall suffice to answer your question .  {  https://www.investopedia.com/articles/personal-finance/111115/banks-can-notarize-your-documents-free.asp  ,  https://www.npr.org/2020/06/01/865043618/need-a-witness-for-your-mail-in-ballot-new-pandemic-lawsuits-challenge-old-rules ,  https://www.enidnews.com/news/state/new-voting-law-likened-to-poll-tax-by-critics/article_c44b9437-b4a8-53bd-8477-a7785f15d985.html ,  https://tulsaworld.com/news/local/oklahoma-absentee-voting-is-safe-and-constitutional-judge-says-in-denying-injunction/article_e5f2a2fc-f92e-11ea-b18e-c7cf4f42e62c.html  ,  https://www.seattlepi.com/news/article/Missouri-court-urged-to-strike-down-ballot-15625913.php  ,  https://www.ajc.com/news/nation-world/high-court-reinstates-s-carolina-ballot-witness-requirement/GTDO2XVDQFEMJKXRCPC57EPIA4/  }  I don't know which , if any , of these states you might reside in , but at any rate , it doesn't seem promising .  P.S. By the way , up here in Ohio , the only personal identification necessary when voting absentee is the last four digits of one's Social Security number , no notarization required .  But it seems that the judicial system has upheld such particular state requirements , per the Elections Clause , of the U.S. Constitution .  {  https://constitutioncenter.org/interactive-constitution/interpretation/article-i/clauses/750 ,   https://encyclopedia.lexroll.com/encyclopedia/elections-clause/  ,  https://elections.uslegal.com/regulation-of-elections/ , https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution-conan/article-2/section-1/clause-2-4  }

Maybe he believes that if he keeps on taking whatever steroids he's on that he'll be able to get out on the road every day. I say, let him. Because those steroids are also making his mind-numbingly stupid rants even worse. Let him show just how much of a moron he is.

Give him enough rope...
