OK... I need a little comic relief this morning,

On Lori's FB post this morning she is on the Christmas kick and states that their Christmas celebration  (among other things)..." does not include Satan Clause"

Satan Clause??!!!  Satan Clause??!?!?

A legal document with Satan?  Yep...our Christmas celebration doesn't include that either.   I finally agree with something she wrote! had to post before she corrects it.

I think she’s thinking about Halloween. Isn’t that when all the feminist witches gather around a circle and make clauses with Satan?

Well, I can’t speak for everyone; but yes. That is what I did on Halloween.

This is why we can’t have nice things lol.... jk jk. I was at my sister’s wedding (masked of course) so didn’t have the time to draw my summoning circle.

In response to a question, LazyLori said she might cry if Trump lost. Somehow, that thought is just the icing on the cake for me today.

I have to say I was highly disappointed on Halloween - I was going to take my tarot cards out and charge them under the full blue Halloween moon - but it was misting rain and I couldn't even see the moon. Bummer. ?

(Today's card: 3 of wands - "things will finally get underway today in whatever project you are involved in at home or work" - yep. The job I left running on Friday jammed up the machine and I had to come in to fix it this afternoon, so now I'm waiting and watching for it to get underway again so I can go back home and work more on my projects there.)

Lori posted about moving to other social media sites, like Parler. I saw Joy Duggar Forsyth also got a Parler. Is this the new "christian" social media site? I think the reason they are switching also has to do with their persecution beliefs, and they think the government is going to "get them" on Facebook or something . . .

Considering that Parler is probably the most closely monitored media site on the Internet right now...if the radical wingnuts think they are safe there, they might be surprised.

Right wingers are flouncing off FB, Insta, and Twitter in droves and turning to Parler. It’s their censorship-free “safe space,” poor teeny victims of relentless liberalism.

Today Lori gave us a blast from the past by re-posting Trey's horrific screed on "Withholding Sexual Intimacy" or why all women be controlling frigid bitches because they don't give it up 4 times a day and 6 times on Sunday.

It is as awful as it was the first time in Feb 2017 -- maybe even more so as we've seen 3+ years of Trey's hateful posts.  Today's FB comments are the same old same old  "a married woman has no agency" we've seen thousands of times before.

One semi-rational person does comment they don't believe Lori as never ever never said "no, not right now."

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Lori said "No!!!!!" for the 25 years she was so so so so sick. Probably one of the multitude of reasons Ken talked divorce. He should have followed through

Yep, when I think of exhibiting gentle parenting so as to raise gentle children, the first thing I think of too is cutting off their access to air.

This woman is seriously mentally ill.

Ummm...how about distracting the kids? How about supervised activities where they can't bicker and scream? How about TEACHING them how to treat each other gently? How about modeling gentleness?

My crazy kids, if I DID put my hand over their mouth, would then lick my hand (talk about gross). It became a joke.

Lori is still as clueless as the day is long.

My first instinct is to say don’t have that many so close together because well wisdom. But I also know not everyone prefers to do that. I just couldn’t do it with my energy levels.

However, you’re right any normal kid would lick your hand. But yeah reward charts, using a quiet voice yourself, getting on their level, doing one on one time when possible. They may be tired of each other so give them a break. I often ask kids, “would you treat a puppy this way? No? Then let’s treat our siblings gentler”

Reward charts never worked with my kids...they were more into immediate gratification. Thing is, kids close in age (or kids that share the same house) are going to bicker, fight, argue and find ways to drive each other to distraction. Face it, siblings are born knowing how to push another sibling's buttons. I forget now what I did with my kids...I don't think it worked very well, they STILL bicker, argue and fight as adults. Thing is, my kids can fight with each other but God help any outsider that tries to mess with one of them...at that point you get all three of my kids...and well...that ain't fun. I seem to remember basically giving up when the boys were early teens...telling them to go ahead and kill each other...They didn't.

And yeah, 3 in 3 years is like NOT brilliant. My kids are now 38, 33 and 30 so they weren't that close together. Didn't matter though. They now have kids that are JUST LIKE THEM...the curse works!!!

I bet Lori’s kids bickered all the time. We have seen how Lori and Ken love to argue and each of them wants to have the last word. Those kids did not learn how to get along with others by watching their parents.

Ken and Lori can talk all they want about “right thinking” and being kind to your siblings. I think that house was full of conflict coming from every direction.

And, if Lori is to be believed her grandkids are being raised to be rude and argumentative as well. Remember when she told us her granddaughter told a complete stranger “Don’t show your bottom.”? I think a child who says that to a stranger is not being taught to be kind to anybody, sibling or not.

yes most women vote to not have old white men determine what they can do which their bodies.

I don't want men of any color telling me what to do with my body! (Looking at you, Voddie Baucham!)

Yes, unfortunately I remember that. I'm not sure just where I read it, but I think it was on some guy's blog, like Dale Partridge's? Or maybe not him, but someone similar.

I remember something like that as well.  There was also mentioning of her kneeling before him. I don't remember who it was that said it though

Lots of options for this one:

You could tell them to knock it off and separate them.

You could also find projects that require working together (the good old knot in a rope that they have to work together to get out of).

Then there's this

Is is just me or does anyone else think that Our Friend Flicka is ........ how shall I put this nicely...... a fabulist (or as I prefer a crazy liar)?

Her stories of her life and her farm are just... completely unbelievable.  She writes of this pioneer life she lead as if she lived in the 19th c. -- hauling water, no electricity, washing clothes in a tub with a washboard, raising all her food. She's Lori's age, that is not even 60 yet. Her wonderful farm stories are so much the ideal gauzy romantic picture of farm life.

Then there are all the men who have been after her since her husband died -- and all of them came to a bad end. Because ... uh... I guess Our Friend Flicka is so godly and God was punishing these men for .. uh... being interested in Flicka or something?

And now today on Lori's FB her comments give us more details of this wonderful adventurous, life and let us know she was a housekeeper for a "United States Ambassador Diplomat" in Michigan.    Um ... Flicka ... dear..  there is no such specific job title as "United States Ambassador Diplomat." And how would this "United States Ambassador Diplomat" be doing this in Michigan and not overseas?

Seriously you all -- I don't believe a single word she writes.  Read her posts.  She. Is. Not. On. The. Planet.  She reminds me of Lady Lydia.

I think she's actually more like 70 or so; she's mentioned her age before, I just don't recall the exact number. But yeah, still nowhere near Little House on the 1870s prairie. LOL. I think she makes up more details of this mythical farm life every time Lori posts something about women never stepping foot outside their homes to earn a single penny. I haven't read the US Ambassador Diplomat stuff yet, though--sounds like she's taking lessons from Jill Rodrigues in Pediatric Neurology Doctor Specialist Redundancy Language. :my_rolleyes:

I had 3 in 3 years. It was exhausting! I was constantly tired. When I look back at my kids childhoods now I can barely even remember it because I was like a zombie. The exhaustion was bone-numbing. Looking at photos helps my memory a little bit, but I'm a bit sad looking back on those early years now just because they were so hard.

Didn't help that my husband was an ass.

#1 and #2 were planned. #3 was not. Turns out the mini-pill (the one my midwife recommended because I was still b/feeding) isn't very reliable.

Gentle parenting wasn't even on my radar then. All I could focus on was survival. Just one day at a time. I honestly don't know how those women cope who have multiple little ones.

Oh how happier he could have been! He could have saddled up his White Horse of Truth and ridden into the sunset to find a gal who does not spend 23 hours a day hating on the internet, cooks a normal dinner, bathes regularly, wears deoderent, likes him (!!!) .
