It also strikes me that Joe could be a bit of an operator - he doesn't need to buy into all the cult beliefs, just keep himself looking from enough for the part, spout some vaguely Biblically linked verses about not eating a land he has himself control of a ready-made tax free cult. Good deal.

Yes quoting myself because apparently I don't notice my phone autocorrecting weirdly quickly enough. Keep himself looking trim, not from. While "not eating a land" would be sensible advice it was supposed to be "not eating and he has..."

I can see Joe easing into the role of Gwod-given Supreme Leader though!

Today in Missing The Point Daily we learn that Gwod hates veggies, especially if they have been farmed organically. I still think that an organic farmer stole her boyfriend once.

This is a familiar drill from thread 7. She seems to labour under the delusion that people buy organic food because it does not contain bacteria, and that human liver can eliminate all poisonous substances. Also she seems to believe that because all food ultimately consists of molecules it's all equally healthy.

What about Organic Foods?

All foods are composed of just water, proteins, carbohydrates, fats, and trace (tiny) amounts of vitamins and minerals. Proteins, carbohydrates [CHO], and fats are made up of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Proteins add nitrogen to their chemical structures.

These are organic molecules—organic just means that the molecule contains carbon. You do not have to go to the health food store for good organic foods. They are displayed at every grocery store and corner market.

If organic means chemical-free to you, think again. All foods are chemicals. God made your body to detect and rid itself of harmful chemicals that are part of the normal dietary process. Again, the stomach would be the first place that could detect harmful bacteria or chemicals. The stomach may throw it back up and out of the body. Most harmful bacteria would be destroyed in the very acidic (pH 1.5) stomach fluids. If harmful substances get past the stomach and into the intestines, then the body might trigger diarrhea (increased peristalsis) to rid the body of them. If they make their way through the walls of the small intestine (it is very difficult for most foreign objects or harmful substances to make it past this barrier) and then to the liver, the liver will trap them, break them apart, and render them unavailable and incapable of harming the liver.

Recently, I read Carol Dooners' 'The F*ck It Diet'......................it made a whole lot of sense.  I would suggest it to someone coming out of WD or any restrictive eating plan

While researching nonrestrictive diet advice books , I came upon this which seems sound , and perhaps similar to what you mentioned .  https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23259033-the-bad-girl-diet   In my view , I think that the end goal should be to find a healthy balance , not so much to lose weight , and be especially thin .  And as such , I just think that being emaciated , as well as being morbidly obese , is unhealthy .

I already addressed this message from Gwen Shamblin Lara , about the liver , earlier .  I just wanted to chime in by stating that just because the body craves something , it doesn't necessarily mean that it's nutrionally sound . For instance , when I was between the ages of nine and ten , I had this medical condition , called pica  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pica_(disorder) , in which I would eat rubber erasers .  My body craved this substance , but that didn't necessarily mean that it was good for me to consume .  The erasers were a poor substitute for the vital nutrients I had needed .  I feel that , in a way , the same can be said of junk food .  While I am sure that Gwen , like all of us , understanably craves carbs and sugars , the highly processed substances she mostly derives them from are not altogether nourishing her body .

Yes yes yes! If you're craving salt it's POSSIBLE that the body needs salt... but sprinkling a little extra on lean chicken is better for your body than licking potato chips.  Also, while we were trying to get off of processed foods (bad habits came during a busy season) we found ourselves CRAVING those processed salts and sugars... it took some time for our bodies to start craving the more nutritious things that our bodies actually needed to be healthy. I think her body just craves ANY sustenance at all.

Today we learn that Gwen imagines every little thing to be a sign from God, that Joe is just an afterthought and she's really married to God (does it mean she's a bigamist?), and that the primary function of a husband is to act as your defence attorney when meany meanies say mean things about you.

The Encouragement You Need

July 02, 2020

What a genius and yet powerful King we have an opportunity to serve! He opens my eyes daily to new information from His Word or from life that confirms that He is the source of everything. So I love Him as a teacher, a comforter, a constant companion, a trustworthy leader, a husband/defender when I am slandered or falsely accused, an hour-by-hour boss, the source of life, and the love of my life to whom I can confidently give my love and passion.

It means everything to have His love returned to me. Just one sign sends a big smile to my face. It gives me the encouragement that I needed. First Peter 1:8 describes my feelings…“Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.” I long to see His face.

"Genius yet powerful King" strikes me as a stupid phrasing. As if she normally expects genius kings to be powerless.

This is another familiar devo from thread 7. You might think these turbulent times would inspire spiritual leaders to address the issues. But Gwod hath not seen the need.

This sounds exhausting for God. That is a whole lot of micro-managing someone's life.

And while she has God's hour by hour attention and getting him to defend her, couldn't she ask him to do something about the people of the world who are suffering? Just seems to be that there are two option here. Either Gwen has God's ear to the point that he picks out her clothing each day, but Gwen is too selfish to ask him to solve the world's problems. Or Gwen's God is great at fashion and coming up with a Frito recipes, but is super weak and can't do anything practical.

So Gwen's followers who read here, which is it? Is Gwen awful or is her God super useless? Or both?

I think we are about due to be told that God could fix our car if he didn't hate us.

So if he's not doing any practical things for us it's our own fault for annoying him.

This just in: Hey, Gwen! Today’s brunch was a smoothie made of oat milk, ground flaxseed, frozen banana and mango, spinach, and a little brown sugar (because I ran out of honey) and it was GLORIOUS.
I may be crazy, but I feel better when I get a lot of fresh organic produce into my diet.

Love Overflows

The more you love God, the easier it is to love others with the overflow of the heart. I can return love—even to others who have hurt me—because I know He loves me. Others might hurt me, but God’s opinion is so much higher on my list that it does not matter so much anymore what others may do.

When I think about how involved He is in my life, I sometimes want to cry. Obviously, there are hurting and sad times, too, but even in the low points, my heart always runs to the Father and finds peace only in Him. As you can see, I really cannot be silent about God. It is not a good idea to get me started because I cannot quit!

I also read TFID and joined her online book club. It was SO helpful. I don't have problems with eating anymore. I don't try to restrict my food or control my body size. I do the best I can to be healthy, but I never want to go back to my days of restriction. Ever.

Edited to add: I lost quite a bit with WD too, but I spent most of my time lightheaded and dizzy and obsessed with food. I even went to have lab work done because of those symptoms.I guess that's what happens when you starve yourself in an effort to be thin.

I also had a 20 plus year dieting career due to being in the military. At first my body would always go back to a certain weight, which at the time was not out of standards but WAS heavier than I "thought" I should be. EVERY TIME I would get to this certain weight, I would diet. For 20 years I tried to maintain my weight below what was natural for my body, because what was natural put me in the "overweight" category for BMI. Well, now I'm in the "obese" category and unless I go on another diet, I'm likely to stay there. I highly doubt that I'll ever go on another diet, because if I do I'll likely have to be committed to a mental health facility.

The only criticism I have of TFID is that I don't think it's really wise to condone 'gaining a lot of weight if you need to"....that's the opposite of starving yourself.  I  know I have such a checkered history of dieting, and bulimia, that I could not apply that to myself.  Maybe just a happy medium somewhere between eating a healthy diet, and if I want to have an occasional dessert or whatever, allowing it so I don't feel deprived, which of course, leads to bingeing

No, not because it's sexy - because I always end up tired from looking at his frozen, stretched face and unconsciously imitating it. I need to see that, at one time, he could lower his eyelids, so I can relax mine!

God describes Himself as passionate and jealous for us. It is right to return what has been given.

No matter how unemotional some people have grown, at one time they had a heart of flesh. We all have 100 percent of a heart— but some people have given pieces of their heart to other things. The passion is so divided and dissipated, and it now appears weak with no energy to be passionate about any single thing!

Many people have idols in their lives and are not even aware of what they are giving their devotion and energy to. “No one can serve two masters.” Matthew 6:24 Why? Because you only have one heart. It was made to be devoted. It will not be devoted to two things. It cannot be. It is not possible.

Those jeans make his bottom half look quite shapeless and I am struck with the apparent difficulties that he has standing upright. The pained face must be because he's holding on to dear life.

Not surprised in the least. I know they did "distance church" for a bit, and I know they had a few "distance showers," but they continued to have huge weddings, blessing showers, and gatherings through all of us. My Facebook has been full of pictures and no way will someone from RF wear a mask.

I mean just look at the pictures from their daycamp on Facebook. They are following little to none of the guidelines. No masks anywhere. I doubt they are sanitizing a giant inflatable slide when it should be. I see groups larger than recommended. They normally split up into ages and gender groups so they are increasing exposure by not keeping family units together. Social distancing does not seem to exist.

I mean, how much do you have to hate people to risk them? They have elderly and immunocompromised people...

But I'm sure those that have been diagnosed are being treated as sinners - it's their fault - which I'm sure is part of the testing reluctance.

What is True Love?

The Greatest Commandment… One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” Mark 12:28-34

Why did Jesus say, “You are not far from the kingdom of God”? It is because just having the knowledge of what God is looking for is not enough. The journey and the spiritual war start in the mind, as we discussed before. But you could have the knowledge of God and not have a heart for Him at all.

God uses human relationships and marriages to teach what true love is. If you have ever had a crush on someone, then you know how this feels… it is emotional. You feel your emotions rise and your pulse rate go up. You would know if your lover entered the room, even if you did not see him or her, for your senses are alert to the voice and presence of the one you love. Your mind thinks about your lover every spare moment, including times that it should be concentrating on the job at hand. You clean up and dress for your love. You look for opportunities to be in his or her presence. You look forward to your times alone. You would do anything for this person and find it no problem; providing aid would be a pleasure. Being separated brings sadness. That is your heart. It is an emotional entity. It is passion and feeling. This passion can be given to anything from the Earth below to the Heavens above, but it belongs to God.

Gwen only washes and dresses herself if she's got a crush in somebody. So on behalf on anyone near enough to see and smell her I hope she has a crush.

Dearly beloved, friends of the Pro Ana For Adults Daily. We are gathered here to snark on people who think their eating disorder is God. We have now come full circle, and  our prophetess has run out of visions.  Today is a special day for me because I have been convinced that I have now  snarked on every devotional in The Growl Archives, some of them twice.

There are only so many ways that you can rephrase one of her limited basic messages differently.

Every devotional on the Stick Insects Daily is a variation of one of these basic tenets:

1. Gwen Shamblin Lara is just like Jesus but better.

2. Skinnier is better. (It is so much fun to lose weight! You will feel so fantastic if you don't eat! Jesus ate nothing for 40 days, don't you want to be like Jesus?)

3. All food is chemicals so you might as well eat junk that you like. But beware, eating based on your desires is a sin.

4. Following eating advice based on science or common sense is a sin except when Gwen likes it and then it becomes a sin not to follow it.

5. You must pretend to be completely devoted to God and to constant prayer with all of your heart because it makes people give you things for free.

6. You can talk about loving and giving and charitable spirit but what it really comes down to in the eyes of God is whether you allowed yourself to eat. Avoid greed. (Gwen allowing herself other luxuries is not greed, it's a sign that God  loves her.)

The Anti Health Archives have repeated things that @formergothardite used to post for a while now, and  after FG  gave up, I have been checking on them every day for the last 13 months or so. (More reliably, in fact, than Gwen's been posting them.)  She has varied the sequence slightly and skipped several days but lately I have been clairvoyant able to predict the next devotional by reading  previous threads.   As far as I can tell there's been nothing new written this year, and now it looks like she's circled back to repeating delusionals that I have already made a molehill out of.

https://www.freejinger.org/topic/32376-gwen-shamblin-7-i-am-the-potato-chip-of-life/?do=findComment&comment=1777696

Today's Terms of Gwendearment message is the same as June 1 last year: If God takes away your food don't be upset. Don't you know how fabulously thin people get while they're dying of famine?

As everything is a sign in Gwen-Mart, I am taking it as a sign to stop the daily reporting on her lack-of-visionals. For the lack of actual thought hath been proven in full. (Although anything being full is akin to blasphemy in Gwenland.)

During my Year Of Gwen I have been hungry plenty of times but I have heard the Growl maybe twice altogether, regardless of how long it was since my last meal. (Once I heard it just after I had finished eating.) It's just not really how hunger manifests itself to me, or maybe I never fastedstarved long enough. I just get a queasy feeling.

I have concluded that Gwod is a crappy nutritionist and an even poorer spiritual leader. She frequently posts advice that contradicts previously posted advice. The Gwense and Gwensibility Diaries have a lot to say in defence of Fritos and Diet Coke but very little about how to be a decent person and nothing at all about recent events that people might need encouragement about. Our prophetess lives in a bubble of her own. (She needs a bigger bubble to have more space for her hair.)

According to It Makes No Gwense Daily there is only one thing that you can love at any one time, and for Gwen it's clearly herself. She is so thin because all the time that she spends bragging about how great and  godly she is,  is time that she's not spending eating her meals.

On The Gwempire Diaries, she constantly brags about reading the Bible, and she constantly  brags about how much she prays. But a couple of  Bible verses that I know for a fact that she never happened to read or understand include

https://biblehub.com/matthew/6-5.htm

and https://biblehub.com/bsb/matthew/23.htm

To conclude, our exalted  prophetess is better than Jesus because Jesus needed two fish and five loaves of bread to feed 5000 people but Gwen would need only a fraction of that to make 10000 faithful WeighDown followers to feel like they had a sinful binge.

Finally, here's a weight loss tip from Facebook that might actually work.  To fight the Great Temptation that is food, Gwen wants you to turn your refrigerator off. If your food turns disgusting, spoiled, mouldy and inedible before you have time to eat it, you will WIN!FB_IMG_1594099879042.thumb.jpg.d5be9a3d455bcc28788e336934d01097.jpg
