I'll give them this one, it is the 1st birthday without Mary here.  On the other hand, enjoy new experiences like ....food. Really that is the best they can do? FFS.

@llg1234, i get what you are saying. We pray you continue her godly legacy? Yeah, no pressure there. I just feel like they could said "We thank God for the blessing of you every day." and it would have communicated godliness just as well. Talk about missing Grandma Mary on Grandma Mary's birthday.

I usually don't do very well with family resemblance, but I can see her brothers in her, as well as STRONG Duggar genes. Do any Duggar grandchildren besides maybe Joy's son* favor their other parent?

*I keep thinking of the vendors at baseball games yelling, "Scorecards. Get your scorecards here. Can't tell the players without a scorecard." In that same vein, I don't remember which is Joy's son and which is Kendra's, about the same age. I figure I'll also have that problem with the group of girls, except maybe Ivy.

It isn't the worst message from the Duggars TBH. Like others, I'll give them a pass. No matter who, a first birthday without a relative is hard. Ivy and Grandma Duggar shared a birthday. Things like that happen in lots of families. My nephew was born a few days after our uncle passed away. Not the exact same day but maybe two days after he had passed. He was my mother's brother, so it was a bizarre time for her. It's been six years now and we have ''moved'' on. My mom, my siblings and I, we remember our uncle fondly now and are now able to focus on the little guy's birthday. But for his first anniversary, yeah it was a weird week. It's normal to remember where you were at the exact moment a year ago, etc. It's just a coincidence of life.

As for the ''godly legacy''... it is just Duggar speak to me. I suppose it's like their ineloquent way of saying ''we wish you'll grow up to be kind and loving like Grandma was''. Which really... is telling that they are not able to even write a tiny sentence like that.

Oh I don’t think it’s to bad that they mentioned GMary. If they are still doing it every year  then yeah maybe. But this is the first Bday without her. It’s understandable there is and always will be a little bit of bitter with the sweet.  I think it was nice to acknowledge her.

Whose account is this from?? We know the Duggars haven’t bothered with social distancing but the Vuolos have been very vocal & even appeared on a TLC promo video about it .

It's hard to tell because the show keeps coming back inexplicably...much like a cockroach.  

But I think TLC has given them some indication the end is near for the regular seasons.  I think the half-assed social media cash grabs and Jed! 2020 are indicators.  I also think we'll still see them in specials every now and then. 

I am really interested in what this family does once the show ends.  It could be SEVERELY entertaining if they haven't fully prepared.

Looks like they will only be present in the family nights but not featured. Good for them for making that decision, they seem much more comfortable on their YouTube channel than on the show.

Gotta have the mandatory Jana relationship tease segment, like they’ve done with every other season. 
 

Unless big and new things start to happen again, I don’t see the show going forward for much longer. But when the show does end, I agree in TLC doing specials for courtships/weddings or a mini series. I’m sure a full stoppage to the show would be a big financial blow to the family.
