Andrew and Kori just had their 2nd child. They were married for quite a number of years before they had their first child.

Bethany's husband is Dan Beasley, brother of infamous Josh Beasley who "accidentally" shot his first wife dead and spent some time in prison. Dan works for the HSLDA, a notoriously evil organization in the guise of "homeschooling rights" (aka parental rights at the expense of children's rights. A fine example being HSLDA defending the rights of convicted pedophiles and domestic abusers to keep on homeschooling their children in total isolation).

In regards to Andrew and Kori the long wait to have their first child was not by choice. She has shared openly about her fertility problems ( though I suspect they did not try for a baby for the first few years while Andrew was in school... just my guess).

Another tidbit about Kori when she got married she came on here using a fake name and made weird comments about how hot and unfundy "Kori" was and how the wissmann's probably clutch their pearls around her. She also made some rude comments about Rachel when she got engaged because of her age. I doubt she meant any of them, she was just trying to infiltrate FJ. Another member caught on and discovered who she was and called her out. Have never seen her here again.

Bethany and another sister (not Rachel) are HEAVY into plexus.... To the point it's annoying.

One more thing, I've shared this before and I know it's somewhere on Bethany's blog, but I can't find and link it right now. But the blog post was about her and Dan's love story. It rubbed me the wrong way when Dan mentioned he had lots of options for Mrs. Beasley but in the end settled on Bethany (yes he really did say he settled). I remembered feeling quite bad for her and thinking he was a giant dick. Nice "love" story.

@Bazinga Wow! I didn't know about her posting here. I'll have to look that up. So odd.

And I remember that story! Are we allowed to link? It's very easily google-able.

Some highlights:

  • "I put her on the unwritten “list” of potential Mrs. Dan Beasley’s and went about living life,"
  • "Another thing I really liked about Bethany was her purity"
  • "the thought crossed my mind that I should talk with some girl’s dad just to put my name in. I didn’t want to leave and let the best girl slip through the cracks without even being there to put up a fight. But I didn’t know which girl’s dad to talk to,"
  • "Around Christmas I began to think seriously about marriage. When? Who?"
  • "I called Mr. Wissmann on March 6, 2009 to ask him about starting a relationship with his daughter......To see if I even had a chance of someday marrying one of his daughters (I wanted to put my name in the hat if nothing else)"

 ?  ?  ?

It totally sounds like he just wanted to get married already and Bethany was the most convenient option around. I really fucking HATE saying that because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but I feel like you have to be pretty blind not to see that from what he was writing for all the public internet to see. ?

Dan's account of his courtship and marriage put his brother Josh's criminal history in a different light -- is it a coincidence that two sons in  the same fundie Christian family both seem to look at women as being fungible?

Ruth seems to be really heavy into Plexus. In one of her recent stories she mentioned that they were driving a Plexus Lexus.

Logan is at the Wissmann’s. He went out on the lake with all of them. I know he’s good friends with Nate, but I think there’s more to it. I think he likes one of the girls. Maybe Hannah.

Sorry, Logan Smith. I talked about him earlier in this thread. He and Trace Bates went to visit the Wissmanns 2 times when they were touring back in February. I guessed back then that Logan was trying to court a Wissmann daughter (Susannah, Hannah, and Alaythia are all similar in age) and he brought Trace as a wingman/chaperone. Logan’s sister, Lundyn, is currently in a relationship with Jake Wilson.

Dan's courtship story sounds "normal" in their world. We must be the weird ones because my dad would have surely cursed him out for not being sure about which girl he wanted. Bethany's purity was attractive to him. So far he's the only fundie guy to actually come out and say it.

I read that completely wrong at first.

ONE of his daughters.... So he was basically just looking for something to screw in a godly way?

I've never looked at this family really. They sound truly awful. All shiny clean and glowing with evil intent If they are all MAGA's. Ugh.

I will never get over the name Lundyn. Every time I see it, it's like lingchi.

She will likely get married one day and if I was in her place, I would change the spelling to “London” when I changed my last name.

From the family's public insta. A picture of them at the Nebraska Trump rally with caption:

"Four years ago we thought we were in a crucial election. And we were! But I believe that this one is even more so. And we cannot just sit down and be quiet when so much is at stake.

Tuesday evening we had the great privilege to go to a Trump rally when the President came to Omaha, Nebraska. And it was incredible!! I have not seen such patriotic spirit anywhere before. God was openly talked about, our veterans, military and law enforcement were honored and our constitutional rights that make this country so unique and wonderful were valued and upheld.

This November 3rd, when we go in to vote, we are not voting on a person, or on whether or not we like him. We are not voting on what people say, but on what they do! We are voting on the lives of the unborn. We are voting on our freedoms and our rights as Americans. We are voting on policies. On our rights to worship freely, our rights to speak openly, our rights to make decisions according to the scriptures and to explore opportunities.

Don’t believe everything you hear, do the research yourselves and find out what is actually going on. Then we need to go out and VOTE! And most importantly, we need to humble ourselves and pray. Because God hears the cry of His people. He is on the throne and no matter what happens, our mission and our message stay the same. #trump2020 #makeamericagreatagain #vote"

Not earth-shattering news, but confirmation of what we already knew and I honestly I thought it was kind of scary and funny at the same time. The "right to make decisions according to Scripture?" Like...taking away peoples' rights? lol :(

I agree. When they say stuff like this, I wonder how big of a shit fit they would have if someone said the exact same thing but changed god to allah. Fundies have such a warped mindset.

Plus, they are so so dumb in not realizing that they‘re just being used by this administration to gain more power. 45 and his minions couldn‘t care less about god, veterans, the constitution. Extreme patriarchy is authoritarian-like so probably this is why the fundamentalists love Trump so much?

I think she probably was just trying to infiltrate FJ but I also think that her comments are revealing. I've been following the Wissman's on instagram and I've noticed that there are cliques that hang out together and ones that don't (like all large families I imagine)

Kori and Beth seem pretty close. They vacation together and seem to have a close relationship. Kori really get along well with Alythia

Rachel mentions Beth only rarely  and they don't seem particularly close.

Ruth (the other sister big into plexus) seems like a bit of an outlier too. I never see the unmarrieds visiting as they seem to do with Beth or Rachel regularly. Not really sure what is going on here.

So if 45 loses does that mean they aren't God's people? Or that the rational, non delusional, non patriarchal cult people are really His people? Trying to figure out how evangelicals think God loves 45 gives me a headache.

Just to keep the record going, as @JermajestyDuggar pointed out in another thread, Charissa Wissmann posted about how they were at a "Stop the Steal" rally at their State Capitol yesterday.

Interesting how not long ago, the family (especially Nate) were quite vocal about Trump and the election. While we still see them sporting MAGA hats in occasional pictures, they are strangely quiet. Wondering if they are trying to protect their business.

Other unrelated developments:
- Rachel and Ruth are both pregnant (#4 for both of them). They announced around the same time, Rachel's announcement was reposted almost immediately by the family, but Ruth's was missing from the family insta for over two weeks.
- Stephen's insta has always been private but he recently made it public, scrapped all his original posts, and only has as single post up.

Stephen Wissmann is being shady on Instagram. He made a new Public account with the name Stephen Wissmann where he follows no one and he only has one picture posted. And he changed his name on his private account that he’s had for years. We know your name isn’t Shawn Smith dude.

Is he trying to hide the fact that a bunch of Duggars are following him? Because maybe he’s trying to court Jana? That’s my speculation bus guess.

From the Wissman Family Insta: Don’t believe everything you hear, do the research yourselves and find out what is actually going on.

These phrases are huge red flags and very common in conspiracy and especially QAnon circles.

  • Don't believe everything you hear = suspend all critical thinking and discount science or well researched legitimate sources
  • Do the research yourselves = fall down every crazy Internet QAnon/conspiracy rabbit hole and become a total wing nut
  • Find out what is actually going on = evil liberal Democrats are pedophile kidnapping cannibals, they'll all be arrested soon and sent to Gitmo, George Soros, HILLARY, Deep State, they'll force you to send your kids (the ones they don't kidnap) to evil government indoctrination schools and so forth.

I love baseball but I'm dreading the new season because the White Sox ownership is THE FUCKING WORST. I watched Dominican League Baseball (Lidom!) over the winter and fell in love with their joy, spirit, and exuberance. The broadcasts were in Spanish and my Spanish is pretty weak but I loved catching phrases and repeating them. Bombe! I'm sad about MLB and Commissioner Idiota's busywork rules. But I love baseball, always and forever.
I guess I don't have a point. Just bitching. Te amo mucho, Lidom!

Feeling ragey this morning. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon in the hope of getting help for an ongoing injury. I went to a (different!!) doctor late last year who completely blew me off. He wouldn't do diagnostic testin, he refused to send me to a specialist, and he just told me to "take it easy" and "take ibuprofen." I'm hopeful for today's appointment but I'm also feeling a SEVERE amount of rage at that doctor from last year!

Well, the rash is back with a vengeance. It never completely cleared up. I saw the derm yesterday and they did another swab and yup, raging infection again, still? It is definitely strep skin infection. I am getting so damn tired and run down from this. Who the f would immagine being hospitalized freaking TWICE for a rash?

My niece is going to be a seat filler at this year's Academy Awards.  Seat fillers are asked to wear tuxedos regardless of sex/gender.  If you see a pretty young woman with very curly hair, it could be my niece.
