The last living silent screen star, Baby Peggy, died on February 24 at the age of 101.  She was a huge star in the early 20s, but was unable to transition her movie career into adult roles.  Unfortunately, a lot of her films are considered lost.  She starred in the silent version of Captain January; Shirley Temple made a sound version in the 30s.

Later in life, she adopted to name Diana Serra Carey and became a respected artist and memoirist.

There are a few actors from Hollywood's Golden Age that are still living (Norman Lloyd and Olivia de Havilland come to mind) and there are a few other child actors like Mildred Kornmann and Billy Watson from the silent era, but they weren't really stars.

I hope that TCM will dedicate part of a day or an evening to a tribute to Baby Peggy.
