Gwen Shamblin Lara 12: Gwen says something I can't understand.

I'm not sure the reasons behind this, but I consider this very big news regarding Remnant.

Tedd and Candace Anger are no longer leaders in Remnant.  Neither are Rob and Tiffani Day.  The best I can tell they are all still members, but them officially leaving 'leadership' is huge.

This page always showed the "Who's Who" of Remnant: https://www.remnantfellowship.org/Our-Leaders

I cannot express how vital a role Tedd (and his wife) played in Remnant since the beginning.  I would say Tedd was easily the 'top' leader under Gwen.  In my mind, he was a bigger leader/played a more important role in Remnant than David Martin.

So, so much damage was done to various families at the hands of Tedd.  I personally know countless broken marriages due in large part to Tedd himself (and, of course, Gwen).  And so many lives horribly affected by this man and his terrible 'advice' to Remnant members.

It has been obvious even since Gwen's divorce where she had to give millions and millions to her ex-husband in money and assets and also pay her ex-husband >$1 million per year for a few years, that things were changing.  Gwen having to sell the original Weigh Down office building (308 Seaboard Lane) was huge.  Around that time, they seemed to about triple the number of leaders on their home page.  Then you saw things like Candance getting a job outside of Remnant (but staying as an official leader).  To me, it looked like they were reducing payroll and getting more volunteer leaders to cover the holes left by paid leaders.

Whatever the case, in my mind, Tedd and Candance out of leadership is without a doubt one of the 'top 10' events at Remnant I've seen over the many years.  Hopefully the walls are starting to crumble on the inside of this horrible cult.

Wonderfully hopeful sign! I went and looked at the Remnant Fellowship cult homepage and enjoyed how very right you are:  Tedd and Candace Anger and Rob and Tiffani Day aren't "leadership any more!!! Maybe busybodies Kent and Regina Smith and Derek and Shae Davis could quit, too. That would be very helpful.

Did they get fired from leadership? Or did they merely see the writing on the wall that Gwen and the Remnant are going downhill and decide to quit while they were ahead? I have a feeling they jumped off a sinking ship, but I guess it is possible that they got fired for something ?‍♂️

How do you get fired from Leadership at RF?  What would one have to do or say to be fired?  If you're fired are you kicked out of RF?

Asking any of the ex-RFers here. Have any of you all seen someone fired from Leadership -- what was the reason, what happened afterward, did the persons(s) leave RF  -- either voluntarily or involuntarily, did their family members also leave?

I thought Rob Day /WFG was a money tree for RF since the Days showed up 9-10 years ago?  I wouldn't think that Gwen you want to lose the $$$$.

Since both the Angers and the Days (who appear to be big friends) are completely enmeshed with RF and RF is their entire social networks, not to mention that 2(3?) of the Days children are married to RF Royalty children -- I cannot imagine how leaving RF would happen.  Unless there was some huge fight with Gwod.

Edited to add:  I thought Candace Anger worked for Brandon Hannah Properties - I sweat i remember seeing her in with the business .  According to her FB page she's with Keller Williams.

Maybe they just got tired of grifting highly suggestible cultists and decided to stick to grifting suggestible wine enthusiasts and MLM participants

Yes, Candace definitely was featured as an agent with Brandon Hannah's real estate firm a while back. It's all very interesting! I'm so eager to find out what happened.

My “sources” tell me that Tedd / Candice (spelling?)  stepped down due to an overwhelming amount of counseling and issues resulting from the stress etc. My “sources” thinks it’s a cover story and that she/he/they/them thinks there is more to it. Note that the Bakers and a few deacons also were removed / step down / are no longer on the leadership website as well...

There have been times in the past where a leader will “step down” from a leadership role. This is sometimes announced and the leader will publicly say what is happening and normally say that they have been convicted that they are not pure enough and are stepping down to get their relationship with God back to a pure and holy state. However, these times could have been at the prompting of Gwod. I do not know. These families don’t leave. And one case I am thinking of are still leaders after stepping down for a period of time in the past.

In other scenarios, Leaders will leave the church outright and this is normally portrayed to the church as a sad but necessary situation. Even though we loved them, God saw that they were not pure and HE is pruning the branches. Gwen LOVES the parable with the gardener.

How to stand firm, according to Gwen: do not stand, move on, get going.

I'm so confused... I thought food was the enemy... but it's the Egyptians?

Spoiler

The Lord Will Fight for You

April 11, 2020

by Gwen Shamblin Lara

As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the LORD. …Moses answered the people,”Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Then the LORD said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.”
Exodus 14:10, 13-16

When Satan comes with his temptations and personal attacks, trying to lure you back to Egypt or get you discouraged with choosing the best Boss and Kingdom, please stand firm and call out to God. Do not plan to defend yourself. Just run to God, and watch HIM defeat the enemy. He will defend you! Quit worrying about Egypt and the Egyptians and Satan, for you will never see them again if you allow God to defend you. However, if you are spending your energy living in fear of the attacks of Satan, then you are not focused on God. You can’t be in both camps.

Now, if you want to stand firm in the desert, what do you need to do? You need to move on! Get going! Pursue God with all your might, and He will lead you safely. All of the people of God – those who were humble before Him and afraid not to pursue a “blameless” life (Psalm 119:1-3) – were taunted and mocked by the religious who did not want to submit totally to God (Psalm 119:42). Read Psalm 119 in full today and underline the word “arrogant” or “wicked,” and notice that with each attack, the psalmist answered, “But I do not turn from your law [Word]” or “But I obey your law.” The answer to attacks is to stay focused on God, stay in the Word, and obey God’s Word, and the Lord will fight for you.

I imagine Gwen reading our snark and going, "ha, they're mocking me again --- that proves I'm so  godly"

God sounds a little cranky in the quote. It must be how He's responded to Gwen so many times. "Why are you crying out to me again? Can't you do anything yourself? Raise your arm and divide your clothes and pick your own damn outfit."

Wow, the Bakers names were stll there pretty recently. Let's hope a disgruntled Remnant Fellowship cult member will go public soon and share details about the reasons for this shake-up in Gwen Shamblin Lara's anorexia cult.

To recap: The Days and Angers are abruptly gone from the Leadership page, but were there as recently as a week (or less) ago

The Days  -- no longer Leaders
 - But their FB pages are still public and Tiffani posted praise of Gwod's Passover 2020 message
 - Tiffani's FB page cover shot is still the Days and Ancona
- However, her very recent posts updating her status show "this content isn't available right now", but the comments are

The Angers -- no longer Leaders.
 - Tedd stopped working for WeighDown in Nov 2019 after 17(?) years and has a new business
 - Candace used to work for BH Properties, but is now with Keller Williams
 - Candace's FB page is still public -- she has a vague comment yesterday about the quietness from the quarantine and the past year for her and Tedd, and there is a photo of Tedd/friends/her on Palm Sunday with a mention of virtual RF church that morning

So -- it appears is that the Days and Angers are still in RF, but no longer RF Royalty -- and there are others missing on the Leaders page. Is it possible she's cleaning house in order to add some new people? Has she ever done that before?

And -- what would be the impact on the Day/Anger children if the parents are out of favor with Gwod and no longer RF Royalty?

Bored and stumbled on this Gwen person for the first time. That hair. That hair!  I had some hella high hair in the 80's but that is epic. Do you think she has some sort of lifter burrowed in the depths of that height?  I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.

@fluffernutter welcome to the rabbit hole that is Gwen and Gwen's hair. And Joe (unexotic). And a whole heap of not-eating. Bring food, you'll get hungry. And definitely watch the "surprise" engagement proposal video which still cracks me up every time.

No Gwenotional for Easter but enjoy these pretty flowers, and remember, do not die halfway, go all in and die all the way:

Speaking of hair, Joe looks to be copying Rand Paul's greasy curls

Noticed on LinkedIn that Tedd also publicly referred to November 2019 as the end date of his position with "Rare Wines Specialists" which he and Rob Day may have been operating primarily for Gwen's wine drinking pleasure.  Not sure if it could have ever been a viable business. Think it was a way to rationalize trips to Northern Italy back before the virus. The Day's restaurant, City Cafe, changed to curbside only on March 18th and then abruptly closed indefinitely on March 19th. Guess no one there really felt like serving the public.  Doesn't seem like Tedd's got anything cooking now except his wife's employment selling houses and a peer-to-peer boat rental business, Aquaos. Why mention these observations?  I see a glimmer of hope that the Remnant Fellowship, a dangerous cult may have run out of money to spend on anyone other than Gwen Shamblin Lara and her most immediate relatives.

The City Cafe closing on 3/19 probably put their employees out of work -- specifically Hannah and Spencer Collins who both manage the restaurant.  Hannah Collins btw is pregnant with her 2nd child, and heretofore has been huuuuuuge buds with Tiffani Day

Back in the old days, i.e., before her 1st marriage to the Langsdon son (the marriage that has been erased from RF history), Hannah worked for Rob Day at WFG, which is how she was sucked into RF.

Why yes, I do spend a ridiculous amount of time down the rabbit holes of all things RF because all of this WTF-ery fascinates/repels me but I can't look away.

Everything and everyone in RF is so incestuously interconnected and so interwoven with the town of Brentwood.  I begin to believe RF controls the whole town and nearly everyone who lives there

Targeting young people is so wrong. I feel terrible for the young girls trapped in this cult. The WFG sounds similar to a cult.

For entertainment while sitting at home, here's an extremely thorough description of a Remnant Fellowship wedding. The bride's family, the Martins, don't seem to have paid a dime.
