@WhatWouldJohnCrichtonDo? First up, I am going to have to confess that I do not live in the States. Once we came out of our lock down in April of last year when EVERYTHIING was closed down except petrol stations, supermarkets, doctors and pharmacies, life has been pretty much back to normal here, We can have close up, personal, unmasked contact with people so in person fittings are not a problem here. However, if anyone is showing any signs of a cold or flu we will ask them to make an appointment for a later date because we don't want to take any unnecessary risks.

I work for a wonderful small company (don't want to give too many details as I will immediately be identifying myself to anyone who lives where I do, and I have seen a couple floating around here). We absolutely do not do a hard sell on any of our products and will not sell a bra to someone unless it is the absolute best fit we can get for them and we know that there is not going to be something better out there on the market for them. We specialise in larger cup sized bras, but if someone with a smaller cup comes in and I know they are not going to fit anything in our store we will still measure them up properly, tell them what size they are and recommend other stores for them to go to. The reasoning behind that is that even if we can't sell them something they are likely to tell someone else of the good experience they have had with us and that could lead to other sales. From a personal point of view you will get a much better fitting experience from a specialised bra store than you will from a department store, one of the major department stores here bans fitters from actually touching their client which makes fitting a little bit difficult whereas I will be pulling straps, adjusting fronts and generally moving things around to get them sited correctly (if my client is comfortable with that - you get to be very good at reading non-verbal body language).

@ThornsElomi and Fantasie are brands we import in, they are absolutely brilliant. Our best selling bra by far is the Elomi Cate, but my favourites to fit on people are the Matilda and the Sachi. For Fantasie bras it would have to be the Illusion, it fits so beautifully.

Since we've been talking about how to support the girls, I had an ad on Facebook the other day for a bra made for us old girls with old girls.  They fasten in the front to make it easier to put on a bra and there are no underwires.  They are not needed for support.  I think the  bras are Sora and right now, they are mail order only

I think there was a wedding over the weekend. I don’t know who got married though the Bontragers went.

I really hate how she straightened it. I would love her hair with more curl and volume. There’s still a tiny bit of blonde on the ends so I’m thinking she wanted to cut all the blonde off.

Teri and Melanie had similar haircuts in the past. I think Melanie's was even shorter.

I would guess the Bontragers care more about their daughters having long hair than the Maxwells. Since the Bontragers are extremely rigid on gender roles and manliness.

It's still long enough to be feminine, and far longer than anything they'd allow on a male, which I think is what matters most.

I am SUPER late to the bra discussion but as a very busty woman I finally realized I am much more comfortable sleeping in a sleep bra (almost no support, no metal or underwire, but so helpful with the discomfort/chafing I was getting under the boobs). Motherhood Maternity had some awesome "nursing bras" that were pull on and a wrap style that are perfect for this (have never been pregnant or nursing but the bras were recommended by a friend who was!). I also had a life-changing bra fitting at a Nordstrom where the woman looked at the tag on the bra I was wearing, made a disappointed noise, and brought several bras that fit better than anything I'd ever tried (mostly Elomi brand, which is what I still wear). I've also found some good wire-free bras from Lane Bryant for wearing at home to have a decent amount of support plus comfort. Happy to send links to anyone of specific bras I've mentioned!

I think Chelsy will anounce a pregnancy soonish. I think that's why the Maxwells haven't been featuring her as much on their blog.

I’m thinking Jesse and Anna will announce before Chelsy and John. I think they will be pregnant at the same time. Maybe with due dates a few months apart.

If we are talking bras for a second, I would like to plug the reddit sub A Bra That Fits. Their calculator considers a few different measurements for a more accurate sizing method - https://www.abrathatfits.org/calculator.php   - and it turns out that breasts come in shapes beyond "big/small" and "perky/saggy" and there are different bra brands/types that may fit better! I found it very helpful.

Carver posted a picture from the Hale wedding and Chelsy does have a bump. I guess I would be surprised if she wasn’t pregnant. I’m guessing a November baby. I think they will end up with the most Maxwell grandkids. Nathan is done at 6, Chris might be done due to AM’s cancer, Joe’s kids are well spaced and Jesse hasn’t announced yet even though they’ve been married a year.

She’s the one that has a bump in some pics so I’m thinking it might be her sly way of announcing.
