I was just reading a bit of the tribute to Kirk on TCM.  I knew some things about him, but I never knew that Lauren Bacall had been his schoolmate and introduced to Hal Wallis who cast him opposite Barbara Stanwyck in The Strange Love of Martha Ivers.  

TCM did show Lust for Life earlier this month as part of 31 Days of Oscar.  I hope they'll do a daylong tribute to Kirk next month.
