This exactly.  I wouldn't have let one of my daughters marry someone this crazy to begin with.  But, if I had and I found out that she was living with 7 kids in a pop-up camper in someone's back yard, I'd have been in my car going to save them.  And if I found out that my daughter was married to someone who molested his sisters, I'd be running to save her and her children.  The fact that Mike and Suzette have never saved any of their children makes them monsters.

At some point in the last year, John blogged about and seemed to repent of, or at least have some awareness of, his pride and arrogance and how it affected people adversely.   That's obviously in the rear-view mirror. 

Sadly, he's incapable of self-reflection and personal growth.  Or he gets a glimpse of himself, realizes what's involved in personal growth and crawls right back under his True, Biblical, Literally Holier-Than-Thou,  missionary persona.  I think the true purpose of  Bro. John's religious fanaticism is to (like Stehovah) keep his demons at bay.  I hope it's working.

I don't remember any of that in the last year (he's been rather inactive on FB).

However, at many points in the last 8 years (and counting) that I have been watching Shrader, he flagellates.  On a regular basis.  The flagellation alternates with bombast and self-satisfaction. 

When up against the wall, Johnny weeps copiously, bemoans his failings, metaphorically puts ashes on his head and dresses in sackcloth.  It usually indicates some "friend" calling him out decisively, or something going very wrong with his "mission." 

Like all his "converts" heading for the hills.

But, sadly, the putative self-examining stage never lasts for long.  Johnny's always back to his boastful and self-satisfied self in days.  He does it for dollars.

And Esther is due late February, per John's latest update.

I hope the "missionary daughter from Alaska" who may or may not be a qualified midwife is already there.  No local help this time for Esther.  Apparently that is their plan for the delivery of sprog #12.  I hope all goes well.

I doubt it is lack of money, given that they managed to get John's expensive back surgery completely paid for, and have been able to afford taking Nehemiah to hospitals in Lusaka.    I think they must have alienated the local midwives or perhaps no longer trust them.

The midwife they had for Stephen was a Mrs Phiri.  John tried very hard and unsuccessfully to convert her and her husband.  John stopped talking about them pretty quickly, but they found another national midwife for Isaiah. 

However, they had to have a "missionary midwife from Australia" to deliver Caleb.   Perhaps she is no longer around or they've alienated her too.  It seems really strange to have to fly someone in from Alaska, who presumably knows nothing about local resources or hospitals, to deliver #12.

I think Esther is beginning to need help feeding and caring for all the kids and big kid John.  He got the midwife there through his fundamentalist channels and now she can help Esther because God knows John isn't going to.  We'll have to wait and see how long she stays after Esther delivers.

I keep wondering when all the locals are going to finally weary of John's shenanigans and quit indulging him.  Hasn't he reached saturation point yet on giving out chapters of the Bible? There can't be a home within 30 miles that doesn't have at least one of John's booklets.

Bro. Theophil Nussbaumer from Ontario.  Last mentioned in the March 2018 newsletter when John was discipling him in Bible study.  And then Bro. Theophil disappeared. 

No wait, John did mention quite recently that someone, possibly Theophil, had prayed about joining him.  But it didn't work out. 

I suspect Theophil got thoroughly pissed off and disillusioned with John. He was in Kafue just after the Great Revolt of December 2017 and the Satanic Attack by Roderick.  Then it became the John and Boyd show. 

Theophil's family's church sponsors Pastor Akim Mulaisho (the national IFB pastor in the Copper Belt who rubber stamped Shrader's original residency papers.)  I don't think he had anything to sell.  He was just a kid in his early 20s, and I hope he's safely back on the family farm having seen what a shambles Shrader's mission is in real life.

How awful a neighbor are you that even the midwives won’t help your wife?! (Eta: are they worried you’ll destroy their businesses if the birth doesn’t go perfectly? Have they discovered you’re a snake and don’t want to be seen as in league with you?)

It may not be that they refuse to help, it may be that (a) John won't hire them due to pride/theology and/or (b) he stiffed them last time and the word got out. (This is total speculation btw - but it wouldn't surprise me. Pay (male) specialists huge amounts to alleviate John's back pain? Sure! I do wonder if Ginger and Jodyhodnett speak as they feel to their wee congregation. Not a lot of British  folk will put up with that type of nonsense. I feel the Hodnets would have attracted folk initially as they are 'different'. Once the dust of their arrival settled folk will have walked away in the same way as Johnny boys victims have done. 

Has Jodi even thought about the insurance require to bus a load of folk around every Sunday? Would he need a public service vehicle licence? He would need Police checks if he is transporting young people without adult guardians. All things I suspect he may not have thought of.

Who’s In Control Of This House?

 

We wonder why the world so easily embraces pornography at a football game and the killing of innocent lives before they are birthed into this world. But Christians, look at what you allow your teenage daughter to wear when she goes to her school prom and birth control is shoved at them before they are even married.

 

The church is just one step away from the world.

 

We cringe when we see a man dressed in women’s clothing and makeup, but the church embraced women wearing men’s clothes 30 years ago.

 

Somehow we are shocked to hear that a little boy wants to be a girl or that a girl wants to be a boy. . We are sickened to hear that a grown man has left his wife and children because he now identifies himself as a 6 year old little girl. And his little girl has to ask to have her very own baby doll back. How sick is that??

But as parents, we call our girls our little tom boys, and encourage that behavior.

You pamper and baby your son, you allow him be feminine and spend hours in front of a mirror and you call it stylish, you raise him in a bubble and don’t allow him to get dirty. You don’t make him work a job and he doesn’t know how to do anything for himself. And you wonder why that same man is living off government funds. He doesn’t know what it’s like to earn a pay check because he has never had to break a sweat or be responsible.

 

You wonder why this world is falling apart? Its because the church is falling apart and the church is falling apart because the home is falling apart.

 

Daddy don’t want to lead because “it’s too hard” and mama has been fighting for her rights and equality for years. She has left her place in the home and daddy’s are staying home being mommy, while mommy earns the pay check.

 

Daddy’s stopped being the authority, and mamas stopped being present.

 

Mama would rather draw “wisdom” and council from her bestie, than to gather wisdom from her husband. She’d rather listen to what her friends have to say about the matter than to just be obedient to her husband. I’m concerned about a woman that would rather spend her time with her girlfriend than her husband. Mama’s you better get back in your place, you have so much to lose. Having your excited and fun life outside of your God given role, will lead your children straight to hell.

 

Dads are more interested in playing video games with their buddies, running marathons and body building than they are in, playing with their kids, running in the yard and building a godly foundation for their children. WAKE UP DADDY, the little ones are following and they will go where you lead them.

 

The world has always been wicked and ungodly and I don’t understand why anyone is shocked!! You should be shocked that wickedness and ungodliness is allowed in the church.

I remember when dads would work two jobs just to keep mama home, but not anymore. Wives are out of the home, working, wearing men’s clothes and the daycares are raising the next generation. Dads are playing house and not taking responsibility as the MAN he should be. Your sons are allowed to work jobs that keep them from church and you allow your girls to embrace singleness as if it’s a calling of God. There is NOTHING right with that thinking. God created women for one purpose.. man! Yet the church embraces and encourages girls to remain single. I do not understand this line of thinking.

The church has reversed the roles in the home and we wonder why, homosexuality is running rampant in this world. We’ve thrown out the bible in the homes and dust them off to carry to church on Sundays. Your children know who‘s in control of your house.

God created this world, He created a plan and he gave us the bible with instructions to this life. The bible clearly lays out His plan and when his plan is sprung into action, IT WORKS. Mamas it’s time we find our place back at home, cut the apron strings that are attached to our boys and let them become a man. Dads need to give the dish towel back to mama and the baby doll back to their daughters. It’s time we take our place and be proud of that God-given role! I love being a mama and I am so glad I’m married to a real man.

I just typed a whole screed in reply and lost it Grrr.

The jist was that Jody must have a shady employment past. He arrived here looking unhealthy, no proper plans, moved around before settling in Dumfries. Was helped by a Pastor in Carlise, England.

Ginger is enabling him. They are as bad as the Shraders with their begging. Jody doesn't earn a penny. Ginger sells Oils a la Lisa Pennington. Ginger is the earner and female. Ginger is a hypocrite. I suspect Ginger wears the trousers in that household. 

They chose Scotland as it's pretty and has cool weather, better for Jody's health IMO. Also the NHS for whatever Jody's health problems are. 

They have huge skeletons hidden in a cupboard somewhere.

Now I am curious - what visa is he on that he is eligible for NHS? Does he have PR? What possible category would he fulfil? Is he contributing by paying taxes? (Yeah I crack myself up sometimes).
