Mom murdered by "friend" for her baby

In my city of Austin, TX,  Heidi Broussard and her two-week-old infant vanished from their apartment a few weeks ago.  She had dropped her elementary-school aged son off at school early in the morning; her fiance came home at 2:30 that afternoon to find them gone, which seemed very odd;  when the school called to report that she had not picked up her son from school that afternoon, he reported them missing.  

A week or so later, her body was found in the trunk of a car of a  Houston, TX suburb, about 130 miles away.  

It turns out that a "close friend" was pretending to be pregnant, had listed her due date in social media as the same date that Heidi Broussard gave birth, and apparently strangled Heidi and stole baby Margo, who was found in good health.

Manley said the person arrested in connection with the case had been charged with two counts of kidnapping and one count of tampering with a corpse. Bond for the suspect, Magen Fieramusca, was set at $600,000.

Fieramusca was described as a close friend of Broussard's. Friends told NBC News that Fieramusca, also known as Maygen Humphrey, told them she was pregnant and she had an online baby registry listing her due date as the same as Broussard's.
