Same day, same nonsense from the Cult of Diet Coke & Wine.

I first read that as diet, coke and wine (guess cocaine would keep the weight down - too bad for Gwen that there's the whole dying from addiction part).

Guess this has been discussed, does Gwen realize how many bazillion calories alcohol has? Cutting down that consumption would keep your weight down - guess her diet doesn't include healthy or sane methods.

That combo of whitish foundation and dark eye shadow is grotesque.  The nest of hair built by a bird on meth just sets off the crazy.

She looks like a literal clown in that picture. All she needs is green hair, and she could pass for a genderbent Joker.

The teaser is different from the verse again.

If you have problems it's because God set you up. But not to worry, if you're a branch God will love you. (This explains why you have to look like a stick.)

Insightful

EVERYTHING is a test for her!  What about life lessons, what about learning?  With her version of God, he is sitting back with a big red pen and marking huge "X's" all over the place!  Wow, each day, you either pass or fail.  Nothing more, nothing less.  That's a bleak way to look at the beautiful lives God has given us, Gwen.  What if we were actually here as a journey, to learn as we go?  So many absolutes, no grey areas, no room for improvement, no forgiveness...that's what it looks like from here, Gwen. 😪 If I don't pass the "test", my Father stops loving me and turns his back?  That's not my God!

You can't just be any old branch, you have to be a legitimate branch. What would make a branch illegitimate? Can I be a legit twig? What if I prefer to be called Sanctioned Stump of the Sovereign God of the Universe?

When a godly young woman branch and a godly young man branch are joined together in marriage God may bless their union with a baby branch. That’s a legitimate branch.

However is the godly young woman branch is led astray by food or appropriate clothing or an education then before you know it she will become a mummy branch without having been joined in marriage to the daddy branch. That baby is an illegitimate branch.

The episode in which Gwen quotes Jesus and totally misunderstands what he said. According to Gwen, if you love something on Earth your love is wasted. According to Jesus you're supposed to love your neighbor as yourself, and as far as I know, none of my neighbors are astronauts so they will be found on Earth.

It is In the Heart

One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” Mark 12:28-34a

The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:14

Look at what Mark 12 reveals: Jesus commands us to love, so we must have the capacity to love. Indeed, we have all had an entire heart of love this entire time. You do not have to go thru some journey to find it—it has been right there in your heart all along. Therefore, the question is not how do you get it, but rather how do you direct your God-given love. If you direct your love to something on Earth, you will throw away your love. But if you direct your love towards God, you will keep it in your heart and it will actually grow. If your love is towards idols, you will be dying because life will not return to you. It is a clear command all summed up in the Royal Law…that is life!

Ah , but you see the way that we're expected to love , is not as the world loves , but as God loves .  And according to my Holiness preacher sister , God can love you all the way to hell .  And the Bible states that the Lord chastens those He loves .  https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Hebrews+12%3A5-11&version=NKJV   So what Gwod considers to be loving , and what we would deem to be love might very well be something quite different . For example , this one woman , who like Gwen Shamblin grew up Church of Christ , Holly Dunn , composed this song , which should show you all you need to know about how such people see love .

But a better biblical source passage for Gwen  to have cited to try to make her point , than the one she referenced , would have been this one  .

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+John+2+%3A+15-17&version=NIV   And according to this song that has come to my mind , everybody wants to love , and be loved in return .

And lastly , if love cannot be commanded , then how can we expect God to love everyone ?  By that token , might the Calvinists be correct , in respects to unconditional election ?  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconditional_election In that God loves who he loves , and hates who he hates , arbitrarily ?

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans+9:14-16&version=KJV

I have no expectation of a god because I dont believe any exsist. What I do know is that in any tangible relationship that we have, love can never be commanded.

Have compassion for the poor, she said, for they are shabbily dressed and have to work for a living.

The Compassion of Christ

December 20, 2019

by Gwen Shamblin Lara

Jesus was popular and surrounded by crowds of people everywhere, and instead of recoiling or distancing himself, he behaved quite the opposite. If Jesus lived today, you would not see him traveling in protective vehicles with a security squad. Knowing that he was led by God and represented the will and behavior of The Father…note that Jesus embraced the crowd and its needs. But Jesus did not see just the crowds, he addressed the individual. Jesus started the day in prayer and then prayed as he healed the sick. He was calling upon The Compassionate Father to look down on this one poor, destitute person, and Jesus knew that God would tenderly heal the needy.
Compassion is first extended at home, then to the brethren and then to the poor. Giving and extending what we have to the poor is God’s delight. “He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done.” Proverbs 19:17 Christ spent time with the rich and the poor, the educated and the uneducated, for the poor in spirit are in all walks of life.

Has this been discussed before? As I look at RM photos and videos, there seems to be a rule that the women have super long. hair. Former RF members -- does Gwen talk about this?

This reminds me of JRod talking about the "smelly and unlovely" people.

I'm sorry, I'm still stuck on the previous page.  I can't get past her eyeliner.    For all that is holy, woman:  blend thy eyeliner and    honor the lord with a well executed smoky eye.  Abase yourself in repentance at the closest Sephora.

The Greatest Pursuit

December 21, 2019

by Gwen Shamblin Lara

There is faith in God and there is hope for God, but I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that the greatest pursuit of all things, the superior way, the most excellent way—not for praise of man, not heart-less, philanthropic deeds done nor “deeds” inspired by satan—but the most excellent way is True Love with good words and deeds inspired by God with the right motives, which is love for God and His Kingdom of Love. True Love will never fail. Why? This is actually not complicated but rather His proof text that Love is the greatest of all pursuits on Earth and here is why: faith and hope are needed on Earth, but when you get to Heaven—faith and hope are things that are no longer needed since you see God face to face—the invisible is visible, no hoping, because you have arrived and you can touch and see for yourself. What is left? It is Love—Love is the one thing that you will be using in Heaven. It is the only thing you will need to take with you. You are not saved by faith alone; faith helps you to True Love. With faith (your mind) alone, you would have missed the heart of the matter of the purpose of the Creator with creation. You would have gained nothing on this one time passing thru this Earth. You would have accomplished nothing because the only terminals (spirits) that survive are those connected to the Mainframe Computer, and the only way to connect is to build Love with God; Love is the only connecting device.

It was not a rule when I was a member, BUT we were coached to make sure we "looked our best for God" which in the south almost equates to longer hair for women.

This devo gave me flashbacks and I could hear how Gwen would say this....it is very much how she talks.
