Oh my sweet Rufus. Trump is so obsessed with the impeachment vote he’s not coming out to speak at his own rally until the vote is over!

They’ll be waiting for some time then.

They're voting on the first article of impeachment now.

Nine minutes left for electronic yeas/nays on Article 1.

Great point made by Chris Matthews on MSNBC -

Not a single Republican in the House stood up today and defended the character of this president. Not one of them said that his behavior was acceptable.

Ok, they’re voting now on the first article of impeachment. I’m watching on a tiny screen in a live tweet without sound. What does the NV column stand for? Not voted (yet)?

Yes, NV = Not Voted

I believe 214 Yea is the magic number. They just passed it!

Tulsi Gabbard and her dumb "present" vote. I'm surprised she hasn't switched to the R party, since she seems to be Putin's darling.

What’s that gesture she makes at the end for?

Yep, the GOP "Yes" vote on Article 1 was withdrawn.

Note that Democratic presidential hopeful Tulsi Gabbard voted "present" on both of the articles.

Gabbard wasn’t present all day and only showed up at the last minute to say she was. :pb_rollseyes:

Trump instructing Mulvaney and others not to testify = Obstruction of Congress. One would think this is a blatantly obvious abuse of power. One would think Republican conversations could see that. One is probably wrong.

It was to tell the Dems not to cheer. Chris Matthews on MSNBC was marveling how she has control of her party.

I’m so used to John Bercow chairing the UK Parliament debates that Nancy Pelosi is pretty quiet in comparison. The Speaker of the House in the UK has to resign their party membership when they’re elected as Speaker. Bercow was originally a Conservative.

I never come over to the politics topics here in FJ, but I had to when I saw the news that the House voted to impeach!! I haven’t been this excited about the future of America in a long time! Here’s hoping that the Senate can be convinced to see reason so we can finally see the backside of this sorry excuse for a president??
