Former Illinois Congressman Bobby Schilling’s staffer invited a white supremacist to an immigration debate.

Quote

A staffer for former Rep. Bobby Schilling coordinated the appearance of a far-right activist at a Bettendorf church this week, setting off a firestorm over race, identity and religion.

Michael Sisco, who served for over a month as Schilling’s ground-game coordinator, has since been fired. Sisco said no one, including Schilling, the church or the teenage organizers of the event, knew in advance that far-right persona Nick Fuentes intended to speak. Billed as an immigration forum, the meeting Monday at Pleasant View Baptist Church was organized by the Scott County Teenage Republicans.

Fuentes marched in the deadly Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Va., and advocated for a "monoculture" and against diversity in his local remarks.

On Thursday, Schilling called Fuentes an “evil man.”

Sure Bobby. You’re only saying that cause you got caught, you racist fornicate.

A reich wing militia type has died

Quote

A North Texas militia member and vigilante who led armed patrols of the Texas-Mexico border and was wanted by federal authorities died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to law enforcement officials.

Kevin Lyndel Massey’s body was discovered Dec. 23 in Van Zandt County, according to the sheriff.

Pending autopsy results will officially determine the cause of death, Sheriff Dale Corbett said.

Massey, 53, went into hiding around May 2019, several months after being released from prison on probation for a federal weapons charge.

The Utah Attorney General’s Office will suspend use of a massive surveillance system after a news report showed that the founder of the company behind the effort was once an active participant in a white supremacist group and was involved in the shooting of a synagogue.

The University of Utah also said Tuesday it would suspend its contract with Banjo, which has business deals with several cities and police departments across the state.

Damien Patton, who helped launch and now leads the secretive Park City-based startup Banjo, was part of the Dixie Knights of the Ku Klux Klan as a 17 year old and joined a leader of the group in a drive-by shooting of a synagogue in a Nashville suburb, according to a report by the online outlet OneZero citing transcripts of courtroom testimony, sworn statements and more than 1,000 pages of records produced from a federal hate crime prosecution.

Utah officials in 2018 had awarded Patton’s company a sole-source, $750,000 contract to provide massive real-time surveillance of 911 calls, social media and traffic cameras. The company has also signed a $20.7 million contract with the state.

A Nebraska woman is suing every gay person on Earth and asking a federal judge to rule on whether homosexuality is a sin.

Sylvia Driskell, 66, describes herself as an ambassador of “God, And His, Son Jesus Christ [sic]” and will serve as her own lawyer in Driskell v. Homosexuals, NBC News reports. In her seven-page petition, written entirely in cursive, Driskell doesn’t reference any case laws for U.S. District Judge John M. Gerrard to consider, but she does quote the Bible and Webster’s Dictionary.

An Army private has confessed to sharing secret information with a satanic neo-Nazi cult in a plot to attack his own military unit while it was overseas and to cause “the deaths of as many of his fellow service members as possible,” federal prosecutors in Manhattan said on Monday.

The private, Ethan Phelan Melzer, was charged in a criminal complaint unsealed this week with collaborating with the Order of the Nine Angles, or O9A, a group that prosecutors described as “an occult-based neo-Nazi and racially motivated violent extremist group.”

“Ethan Melzer, a private in the U.S. Army, was the enemy within,” said Audrey Strauss, the acting United States attorney in Manhattan, a job she moved into over the weekend after her predecessor, Geoffrey S. Berman, resigned under pressure from Attorney General William P. Barr.

Mr. Melzer, Ms. Strauss added, had tried “to orchestrate a murderous ambush on his own unit by unlawfully revealing its location, strength, and armaments to a neo-Nazi, anarchist, white supremacist group.”

Lowe’s apologized after a teen employee was forced to change out of a “Black Panther” shirt because a customer claimed it was racist.

Kyle Sales was wearing a shirt that read “Black Panther Wakanda Forever” last weekend while working at a store in Bonney Lake, Washington, when a manager pulled him aside and asked him to change.

Sales was upset but he decided to go home and put a jersey on over the shirt.

The change wasn’t the end of the ordeal. A coworker told Sales the woman came back the next day to ask if he was punished.

An Ivanka at Lowe’s

Seriously, what an idiot reporting a t shirt, if it said anything anti white people then fair enough but his bosses and other customers had no issue with it or at least didn't care enough to complain.

Decals promoting a "white supremacy hate group" have been found on six light poles on Chaplain Schmitt Island in Dubuque.

The city announced this afternoon that the decals were found Monday on light poles at the Veterans Memorial Plaza and McAleece Sports Complex parking area.

"The group promoted on the decals is a white nationalist group and is designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League," a press release states. "The city is choosing to not publicly identify the group and avoid giving it the attention it seeks."

Wouldn’t surprise me if this was done cause the fuckopotomus lost.

Hate crimes in the U.S. rose to the highest level in more than a decade as federal officials also recorded the highest number of hate-motivated killings since the FBI began collecting that data in the early 1990s, according to an FBI report released Monday.

There were 51 hate crime murders in 2019, which includes 22 people who were killed in a shooting that targeted Mexicans at a Walmart in the border city of El Paso, Texas, the report said. The suspect in that August 2019 shooting, which left two dozen other people injured, was charged with both state and federal crimes in what authorities said was an attempt to scare Hispanics into leaving the United States.

There were 7,314 hate crimes last year, up from 7,120 the year before — and approaching the 7,783 of 2008. The FBI’s annual report defines hate crimes as those motivated by bias based on a person’s race, religion or sexual orientation, among other categories.

Some of the 2019 increases may be the result of better reporting by police departments, but law enforcement officials and advocacy groups don’t doubt that hate crimes are on the rise. The Justice Department has for years been specifically prioritizing hate crime prosecutions.

Gee I wonder why?  Could it have something to do with the Grand Wizard of 1600 Pennsylvania (soon to be the Grand Wizard of ADX Florence)?

They had a picture of the El Paso Wal-Mart shooter.  Gee what a fucking surprise that they took him alive.

I hope the police catch those responsible

Police in eastern Iowa are investigating the vandalism of a synagogue in Davenport that occurred on the first day of Hanukkah.

Someone used red spray paint to scrawl a New Testament biblical citation at an entrance of Temple Emanuel on Thursday afternoon, television station KWQC reported.

The citation "John 8:44" was painted on a wall near the temple doors. The verse recounts Jesus telling his critics that they are the spawn of the devil.

Racism still exists

The board of a small Louisiana cemetery that denied burial to a Black sheriff’s deputy held an emergency meeting Thursday and removed a whites-only provision from its sales contracts.

“When that meeting was over it was like a weight lifted off of me,” H. Creig Vizena, board president for Oaklin Springs Cemetery in southwest Louisiana, said Thursday night.

He said he was stunned and ashamed to learn two days earlier that the family of Allen Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Darrell Semien, who died Sunday, had been told that he could not be buried at the cemetery near Oberlin because he was African American.

“It’s horrible,” Vizena told The Associated Press on Thursday morning. He said the board members removed the word “white” from a contract stipulation conveying “the right of burial of the remains of white human beings.”

I hope people actually read cemetery bylaws and sales contracts and call cemeteries out for this sort of thing.

Montana Nazi got slapped with a big fine.

Quote

A Nazi sympathizer from Montana has been slapped with a $9.9 million fine from the Federal Communications Commission for racist and harassing robocalls across eight states that targeted political figures and attempted to influence the murder case against an avowed white supremacist.

Scott D. Rhodes made thousands of calls in 2018 harassing Black and Jewish politicians including Stacey Abrams, then the Democratic nominee for Georgia governor, and Andrew Gillum, the Democratic candidate for governor in Florida, as well as California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, another Democrat, according to an FCC complaint.

He also sent more than 800 robocalls to Brooklyn, Iowa, a week after the murder of college student Mollie Tibbetts. Relatives of Tibbetts were among those who received Rhodes' robocalls, telling the Des Moines Register of the USA TODAY Network that the "profoundly racist" calls were "twisted and grotesque."

And he inundated residents of Charlottesville, Virginia, with more than 2,000 robocalls before and during the jury selection and criminal trial of James Fields, who murdered Heather Heyer when he drove into a crowd at a 2018 "Unite the Right" rally.

These two need to spend a very long time in prison.

Two teenagers have been taken into custody and charged after allegedly destroying several statues at a Holocaust memorial in Tulsa, Okla.

The Tulsa Police Department said in a Facebook post Thursday that it had arrested a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy in connection with vandalism at the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art early Wednesday morning.

The destroyed outdoor display of the museum included five Holocaust tribute statues, each filled with 2,000 rocks displaying the individual names of Jewish children killed by the Nazi regime during World War II.

Police were contacted Wednesday after the museum found the statues knocked over, causing more than $15,000 in damage.

I have a strong suspicion these two became anti-Semites thanks to their parents. If that’s the case they should make the parents pay for all the repairs.

Say bye to your legal career dude.

A weekend apartment fire in West Des Moines became even more devastating for some residents when a neighbor threatened them with violence and racial slurs.

According to West Des Moines police, attorney Adam Kehrwald offered legal aid to a group of evacuated residents outside the apartment complex during the fire.

When the group declined, police said Kehrwald threatened the people he offered to help.

“He started using the racial slurs, and then eventually stated that he was going to go get a firearm and return,” West Des Moines Police Sgt. Jason Heintz said. “So, our officers decided to intervene at that time.”

Iowa ranks as the third worst state for African-Americans.

Quote

A new study released by a financial news and opinion company from Delaware shows Iowa as the third worst state for Black Americans. Illinois and Wisconsin, both in the tri-state area, are in the Top 5 with Wisconsin being ranked as the worst state for Black Americans.

24/7 Wall St., the organization in charge of the study, created an index consisting of eight measures to assess race-based gaps in socioeconomic outcomes: median household income, poverty, adult high school and bachelor’s degree attainment, homeownership, unemployment rates, prisoners under the jurisdiction of state or federal correctional authorities by race per 100,000 residents, and age-adjusted mortality rate by race.

Caprice Jones, executive director of the Fountain of Youth program in Dubuque, has spent years working with Black Americans to address generational poverty.

”If a person is used to seeing a lack of opportunities and seeing disappointment and hopelessness and failure within themselves then they give up before they even start,” Jones recalled from both his experiences and what he has heard from the people he has worked with.

Full disclosure - Minnesota is ranked worse in this survey.  No state comes off looking particularly good here but the midwest really needs to get its shit together.

Kevin Sorbo stepped in it

Quote

Kevin Sorbo mocked for “Herculean stupidity” because he didn’t know what pronouns are

Hercules actor Kevin Sorbo was roundly mocked over the weekend for not knowing what pronouns are.

“If CNN+ had pronouns they’d be was/were,” he wrote, referring to the video streaming service launched several weeks ago by the cable news channel. Warner Bros. announced that they will be shutting it down at the end of this month because the company wants to form a single streaming service for all of its properties.

And Sorbo got mocked on Twitter for his claim that “was/were” are pronouns.

I was always a little boggled that on Hercules he was the title character yet was the least interesting, least likable, most annoying character on the show (to me, anyway). Turns out Sorbo isn't sympathetic or likable, either, and is also pretty dim.

Chris Pratt also started his career by playing the dim and not entirely likable Bright Abbott on Everwood.
