Yes, this is cloudflare doing its thing to protect the FJ server (or other sites if you see it elsewhere online). It's safe. Basically what's going on is when there's a big crush of people trying to get to a site at once (Like us with breaking news, a slashdotting back in the day, a Reddit Hug of Death) Cloudflare will kick in with their server magic to help smooth out the traffic. Their business is pretty much smoothing out traffic spikes like that and other Big Server things. It's REALLY cool

I don't understand why the family is denying it? If it really happened, which Homeland Security has said it did, then the truth of what is going on will come out. Why would lying protect the brand? It seems like being truthful and releasing a statement like "We aren't at liberty to discuss it but will let you know more when we are able to" would be better.

 

Of course, their fans are ok with Josh molesting children and sweeping it under the rug, so maybe they can really do no evil in those eyes.

Because they think they’re special and are more concerned about protecting their reputation than being truthful.  They probably think God will shield them so they’re not concerned about future consequences.  

Compared to many other famous people in similar situations, they lost a lot less than when the molestation came to light. Boobchelle are even back on the show now. I’m sure that feeds their ‘favored by God’ complex.

I do think this is a lot more serious than they are letting on.

They raided Josh's business last week, too. It's totally CP."

I could imagine that if Josh is involved in whatever is going on, both his home and business are raided even if the investigated crimes aren’t connected to the car lot per se.

Thanks for the info, @nomoxian! It seems I should swallow my own words then: I recently stated on the Josh and Anna thread that from his AM account, Josh most likely isn’t into children. As I understand it, child porn is still an allegation “only” so let’s wait how this plays out. At this point, nothing would surprise me anymore though.

Don’t swallow your words just yet. In HSI’s own words, they investigate a wide variety of things: https://www.ice.gov/careers/criminal-investigator

My advice is to never take what random people on the internet have to say at face value. So many people have no problem asserting their misconceptions or fantasies as fact.

Sometimes investigations like this take a LONG time to come to an indictment--and that's IF they ever come to indictment. It may be a long time before we know, and that's if we ever know. I have confidence that maybe a reliable source will come out with it, but it's hard to know who to trust and who not to trust in these situations. 

In any case, that denial from Jim Bob is VERY carefully worded to avoid lies, imho. I think we'll end up finding it has a lot of technical truths in it before all this is over with.

Do we know for sure where Josh and his family live?  If he has his own separate place on the compound, the Duggars' "as far as we know" comment may make some sense as a dodge.  They didn't raid "our" house, but who knows what goes on over "there".

This is an unverified rumor.  This is not a news source. It's a twitter account that is known for making things up. Please be more judicious in the future.

 

Just a note of reality here - there is currently ONE original verified reporting source on this - Channel 5 in NWA. Every other media source is based on that. @Buzzard notes there have been no reported arrests. That is important.

The Duggars have also been very quick to deny. So I am a little wary this morning. I hope it is not true for selfish reasons - I NEED J-Rod be Duggar adjacent, well-outfitted for a steep social climb, stat.

I agree.  If they were truly not being investigated, they would have acknowledged the visit but stated that it was an investigation of someone/something else and not related to the family.

Their response was definitely  defensive in nature.

The one that caught me was "our home." Okay, his home wasn't one that was raided, it was Josh's home. It's technically true that the TTH wasn't raided.

Law enforcement would likely ask the Duggars to keep quiet if they are investigating something big. That's par for the course and certainly would be with semi-famous people.

By the way, why has no one speculated that this could be related to Gothard. Bill Gothard could have easily been involved in child molestation, human trafficking or worse.

Here is the thing, we know there is a current case going on with Josh, we know JB has always, played a bit loose with some of his financial dealings with lots of well organised property transfers and LLC's all over the place, I am thinking Josh got sloppy and they found more around his current case, or JB got sloppy. I suspect anything coming out will be financial and not exciting enough to take them down. Josh keeps ticking down crimes and nothing anyway. But I do think something definitely did happen and I think that the Duggar's response is so carefully worded, so as to let them off the hook, when something does come out, it is definitely too twisted and not a firm no, to be believed on face value. It's too, "I didn't take a cookie from the cookie jar, the cookie fell out when I knocked the jar on the counter." for me. But I don't think this will amount to taking them down, or much in the end, the shady conservatives seem to just keep being shady with no real repercussions.
