I will point out though that clear nail polish is helpful in repairing a broken finger nail .  { https://www.elle.com/beauty/g16670682/how-to-fix-broken-nail/ , https://www.littlethings.com/how-to-fix-a-broken-nail/ }  My own father has used clear polish for this purpose , remarkably enough .

I just can't with her. Girl, please. Why does she see herself as an expert on basically everything?? She married at what, 23?

So if I just fix my sensors everything will be a-ok?

BTW, her Christmas tree is a weird shape.

Didn't watch the video, but the preview pic here gives me major porn vibes with the bedroom face.

BEC here, but her ring finger isn't in proper shape, one side is higher than the other. And her thumb is oval while the rest of the nails are square (staight?) shaped. You should go for one shape and not make on nail this, and the other nail that. BEC out

Someone finally said it, and I can't agree more. You'd think she would have trimmed some of the spider-y upper branches a little to give it more of the traditional "cone" shape. But no. (I'm sure my comment is extra BEC because it's after Christmas lol)

Ah, so she's a low-key weeb? There is a weird crossover between alt-righters and weeaboos, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Well, today I learned...

For everyone over the age of 35 like me ;)

Weeaboo:  derogatory slang term for a Western person obsessed with Japanese culture (especially anime) often saying it as superior to all other cultures.

I’m old so I just thought she was trying to be Sailor Moon.

Is there actually a link between anime fans and the alt-right ? Here is what I have found { https://www.otakujournalist.com/who-are-anime-fans-really-our-ties-to-the-alt-right/  , https://newrepublic.com/minutes/128099/yes-theres-connection-little-pony-donald-trump-white-identity-politics , https://forward.com/scribe/343477/why-trump-supporters-are-infatuated-with-an-anime-character/ } As for my take on this , I have been a bit of an otaku myself , and I am the exact opposite of the far right , in my political point of view .  And I am inclined to believe that figures and groups across the political spectrum , in Japan as well as America , are inclined to use cartoon characters to promote their respective ideologies . For some examples of this  from the farthest left , i.e. Communists . {   https://www.japantrends.com/japan-communist-party-mascot-kawaii-cute-character-kakusan/  ,

https://ih1.redbubble.net/image.496942689.9311/flat,800x800,075,f.u1.jpg  ,

http://img.memecdn.com/Communism-never-looks-so-cute_o_7067.jpg }  And while I am aware of a  manga , which is about a political cult , which strangely enough satirizes the alt-right { https://allthetropes.fandom.com/wiki/Excel_Saga_(anime) ,

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excel_Saga } The only anime I know of that is could be considered to be unironically neofascist , is this .

https://allthetropes.fandom.com/wiki/Angel_Cop , https://terribletvshows.miraheze.org/wiki/Angel_Cop }  In closing , in the spirit of good fun , I will leave you with this .

To expand on what I mean, Rational wiki's article on Japan has a section that explains it well:

Quote

Japan has received glowing praise from many weeaboos in the alt-right and other white nationalist circles, who commonly cite it as an example of the "ideal ethnostate" lacking the polluting influence of Cultural Marxism. While Japanese culture is indeed traditionalist and ultra-conservative, even compared to much of the European far-right, their claims of Japan being a Neo-Nazi paradise is utterly fucking idiotic simplistic at best, and at worst an attempt to repurpose an entire country as a political weapon. Conveniently overlooked is a row of problems making the country less than ideal, such as the plummeting birth rate (directly contrary to their pro-natalism) and stagnating economy. Also ignored is the fact that, despite widespread discrimination, politically correct speech (the roughly equivalent kotobagari 言葉狩り) is also observed to some degree in Japan. The alt-right's praise of Japan as an example for Western countries to follow is particularly odd, given their white supremacist ideology — one would think that a Western country would have achieved and preserved this end sooner. It's tempting to invite a historical comparison with Nazi Germany's dubbing Japan as "honorary aryans"; however, this was done largely out of Realpolitik ends, not due to genuine respect of the Japanese.

https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Japan (they had the most cohesive summary of the connection I could find)

Another aspect that isn't mentioned is that many of these types hold the stereotype that Eastern Asian women are more submissive and feminine than most Western women. So, it's not a surprise that many tradcons also have an idealized view of how Japanese society is. There's also the whole backstory between 2ch and 4chan, but idek where to start with that.

When I called Mrs. Midwest a weeb, it was mostly based on the fact that I wouldn't be surprised that she holds similar idealized views of what women's roles in Japanese society are compared to the USA. Or just has an unrealistic idea of what life in Japan in like overall. Not that saying she spends her days watching anime and making AMVs (or w/e is popular nowadays).

She only wishes she could pull off Harley Quinn! Granted she is like HQ, in love with a wrong guy with bad views, does stuff for said guy that is evil. But HQ finally breaks free but by then she is still evil but she's independent....ok maybe mrs Midwest is HQ, she just hasn't broken away yet.

Wooow. So Yogi Zero is on his Instagram stories complaining about how a woman is teaching at the church he went to this morning. Here's the thing: Yogi isn't even Christian, at this point. So for him to be telling Churches and actual Christians how to conduct themselves? Uh, no.

I see what you are getting at .  To reiterate what I had hinted at before , Japanese politics runs a gamut from , on the furthest  left , the Japanese Communist Party  , which is the largest non-ruling Communist party in the world

, to on the most extreme right such ultra-nationalist Uyoku dantai as even the National Socialist Japanese Workers' Party

But yes , in contrast to countries such as the United States , and Canada , Japan is largely homogeneous , and views what it means to be Japanese differently than how we in the west would view ourselves , in terms of nationality , according to these videos I have seen , which were made by an American , and a Canadian respectively , whom have been residing in Japan , in the long-term .

I hope that this helps to give a more complete , and nuanced perspective on such matters related to Japanese culture , and politics .

@Marmion

I'm quite aware of all of this, but I'm not sure what is has to do with my point. I'm talking about how certain white alt-righters view Japan, not how Japan views itself or the reality of Japanese politics and society.

How can his girlfriend read this garbage and want to be with him? I really hope she dumps him very soon.

Right? And this has scary implications when you add in the "childbirth shouldn't hurt" element. I would worry about him respecting the post-natal time frame for abstaining.

oooo so I'm a bit behind but I was peeping at her "spend a snowy sunday with me" and at 15:16 when her husband is praying over dinner with her (that's fine, whatevs), he like- DROPS HER HAND super suddenly and she keeps hers there for a while... it was so jarring that I watched it again to make sure I didn't accidentally like... fastforward. And then after he grabs her hand again, he mouths; "Happy?". Oof it's just rubbing me the WRONG way.

Also he gets 3 fried eggs, a huge mess of hashbrowns, a lot of bacon and she gets like 1 item of each. No wonder he's shaped like a human thumb.

The points that can be picked from this seem to be:

1) Marital rape was legal..... Seems he's suggesting that this was a legally enshrined right instead of the unacknowledged piece of patriarchal assholery it actually was.

2) Husbands can be fined for allegedly raping their wives. No, you creep, they can and should be fined jailed for actually raping their wives.

3) Forcible sex might not make your wife happy. Ensuring everyone's happiness is ideal. Therefore, your wife is not part of everyone and not entitled to happiness?

Ugh. I'm sure he's happy. His girlfriend probably isn't allowed to be.
