So either OFF is 1) just plain stupid or 2) she lives in a reality of her own making in which TV life and real life are the same thing, TV characters are real people, and time has no meaning.

While annoying, I am mostly amused by OFF because she's mostly harmless as far as Lori's fangirls goes (not the same is true of Severine, Julie Benson, Dee Ann Hodson, Guisel, etc...)....because most of her stories are like Aesop's Tales... some bad, unrepentant person ends up dying in a car crash, fire, dropping dead of a heart attack, etc.  I often find myself saying, "That DID NOT happen that way!"  She always has the most fantastical stories.

I'm waiting for Flicka to tell the story of the bridge tender who had to choose between his son who was playing on the bridge and a bunch of people on a train who would be killed if he didn't lower the bridge.  Our former pastor used to tell this story regularly.

So reading through the study:

1. It’s dated, science articles should be within the last five years not be older then I am.

2. It doesn’t prove that vaccines are useless/unnecessary. I didn’t notice anything mentioning vaccines.

3. Vitamin A was used as a supplement with the treatment at the hospital. It was also done in an area where children were know to be deficient in Vitamin A.

4. Children still died what seems like horrible deaths. I’m not a doctor but it appeared that one passed from sepsis due to having diarrhea. These children were under the age of 3. Babies died because of Measles. Not very pro life.

5. There were several thing missing in the study such as general health, how age impacted recovery, etc. I’m not sure it’s even ethical as a majority of the children who died were given the placebo. I’m not positive it would pass a review board anymore but I could be wrong.

Thanks for finding the study. My knowledge for medical and pharmacutical studies is, that you don't do studies with placebos on children, because it's unethical. To do studies with children, you have to jump throw a lot of extra hoops here and that's a reason that more and more pharmacutical studies are done in countries like India, where you have a larger pool of people and less hoops to jump throw. But now to that study, I just scanned it (it's 7 in the morning here and I don't reach my coffee level jet). This study was done in South Africa in 1990, which was before abolishing the Apartheit. I suspect that most if not all the children in that study where black wich ads another big layer of unethical behaviour on top of doing a fucking placebo study on sick children and they where ok with the outcome of several death children in the placebo group. And that's why the info about general health and nutrition and so on is missing. With the ton of data on the outcomes of measles even back in 1990 before the internet, a placebo group looks for me as very unnecessary and only done because they could. That's my personal oppinion, but I highly doubt that in another country back than such a study would be board approved.

Today Lori is on a rant about taking one's husband's last name when getting married:

Quote

A woman should be THRILLED about taking her husband's last name instead of keeping her dad's last name. She is leaving her dad and cleaving to her husband with whom she will become one flesh with. He is the man that she has chosen to love and submit to all the days of her life.

Going by most of the comments, this is apparently a salvation issue. Who knew? Never mind that surnames don't appear in the Bible, and John 3:16 doesn't say, 'For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him AND CHANGES HER LAST NAME WHEN SHE GETS MARRIED shall not perish, but have eternal life.'

Straining at gnats, Lori, straining at gnats.

I totally agree! I noticed this as I was reading and found it very unethical especially since it notes that vitamin A was suspected to be helpful from previous research and that these children were known to be vitamin deficient. I also believe that a large portion were black children based on the small amount of demographics they provide. I’m not a doctor and not super familiar with medical studies but having had to go through my own review board for my research project and such and having read studies I find it lacking.

Someone sent Lori this photo and she approved it... moments later, her male readers let her know that was a porn star and she took it down.

I thought porn was evil and men should never watch it? To bad Lori doesn’t teach men and Ken doesn’t know how to teach anything.

I have no idea who this young woman is, so my question would be if this woman is really a porn star and Lori's male readers alerted her, how do these men know??????

It's like the Baptists worrying about seeing fellow church members at the liquor store.  It shows how stupid she is that she would think an adult woman would dress this way.

I apoligize if this went to far, I just was wondering if anyone else has gotten that vibe from her?

I’m in a Facebook group called “sounds like something the transformed wife would say” and they said her name is Riley Reid.

Ok, so I went down the rabbit hole and Googled her.  She can make her living however she pleases, but her dressed like a little girl creeps me out.  That's a pedo's dream.

And why would Lori just post a pic of an adult woman dressed like that without questioning where it came from?

I still find it quite interesting Lori's male readers knew who she was....

Well the porn watchers revealed themselves and it appears they have a certain taste blargh. And I’m not sure why she would post this? This is obviously more childish than traditional adult feminine. But ugh idk I don’t always understand her

What, seriously? I must have missed quite the story ?

On a different note, some people, men and women alike, find tattoos quite attractive. So, once again, Lori is not quite as right as she thinks she is.

I have the slight suspicion Lori might not be the smartest pea in und pot. She doesn’t want her audience to question her, but she herself isn't a pro when it comes to using her brain for anything reasonable, either.

If one of her “readers” shared this with her, doesn’t she realize they were mocking her?  Definitely not from one of her many fan girls.

Lori is all over the place on Twitter today.

Regarding the church story (that didn’t happen) why couldn’t she just respond with “I am a homemaker.”?

And the “what if” tweet made my brain bend. Holly Run-on Sentence, Batman!

Spoiler

That first one makes no sense. None whatsoever. She must have been on her third  glass of wine at that point.

As for the last one, I think we should start calling her Dr Lori. I picture her as Lucy sitting in her psychiatry booth, charging 5 cents for consultations (because, face it, that's about what her advice is worth!).

Oh, wait. Lori doesn't make money from her 'ministry,' does she? Sure, Jan.

Just to voice some support for Riley Reid, who I actually enjoy watching (she definitely has some “female gaze” films), I think that picture is very old because that’s not her “look” at all. Still laughing that dumb Lori didn’t realize a “follower” was trolling her and that her male followers clearly aren’t Godly young men!

So who is surprised that Lori's male followers are intimately familiar with porn?

Anyone? Bueller?

Eh, I know a couple adult women (and at least one adult male) who choose to dress similarly occasionally. Lolita fashion is still in existence. Although it's not because men prefer that - it's often the opposite! (Yeah I know that's not Lolita, but she's got some sweet Lolita style pieces on.)

The speculation bus has been headed that direction for years now. Honestly, I'd be willing to bet a little on it, too. How many happily married straight women choose to post about wanting to spank women's bottoms when they wear thongs on the beach, and about how hugging a woman with natural breasts feels different than hugging a woman with implants? Lots of women are into fashion, and may have opinions on what other people wear... but Lori's focus seems to be on the woman's BODY, not her actual clothing. Ken gets "10 minutes and some lube", while a woman wearing a thong on the beach (really? recently? I thought those went out of style ages ago?) gets a long typed out published diatribe plus all the time in Lori's (feeble) brain before she collects herself enough to post about how she fantasizes about spanking the woman.

She doesn't use her brain for much of anything, at all. Except maybe an excuse to be lazy. I imagine that brain tumor is probably good for that.

@usmcmomdid you notice she said "after church today"? Looks like she put in an appearance (or at least claimed to) since people started pointing out she seemed to not be going to church. Also, if Ken actually said that, I think he might be trolling her too, at this point!

She's always preaching to the women that they shouldn't be ashamed to be keepers at home.   Lori should be proud of that, then.  Why not be honest rather than  making up something.  I thought she was proud of her status as a keep at home???

On another note, I saw she was bragging on her $300+ Bosch mixer (even more depending on the model)..Honestly, it looks like a great tool, but when looked online and saw the price, I almost chocked.  No way I could justify buying that even with a "Black Friday" discount as Lori suggests.  She has no idea that many of the women she preaches to can't afford that.   Heck, the price of that mixer might be half the mortgage or rent payment a month, or might be the different between buying groceries that month as well.  When Lori promotes either of her books (both less than $10 each) there are many who write to her and say, "I plan to get it once I save up for it."

Once again she's proving how out of touch she is with real life.  So spoiled.
