Hey Friends! Let's keep the Homeland Security raid talk here:

That way we all get ALL the gossip!

I never read the Twilight books, so I don't have that association.  I like the name Bella, but for some reason, don't like it with the last name.  Bella Duggar.  It just doesn't sound good to me.  Does it sound too much like Belladonna?  Or what?  No sir, I don't like it.

Bella Milagro sounds like the name of a telenovela heroine.

I guess Babygeddon is upon us.

I immediately thought of a dog and then Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way when I heard the name.

-*puts on helmet and ducks into fox hole*- All ready for Babygeddon!

Honestly I'd probably have done the same... only I got mine in band class at 11. The last class before Christmas break. It was a nightmare. Middleschool was hard enough, now toss in getting your first period in front of the entire class, I was miserable.

I got mine at 11,on the first day of middle school, luckily,I was at home.

I was envious of my mother, she told me she did not get hers until 16.

Maybe I took after my grandmother,my father's mother,she was 10.

Why am I totally unsurprised that they used Milagro? Bella’s a nice name.
I know she’s been born into an awful cult that will only allow her to be a wife and mom, but at least she’ll have loads of similar-aged girl cousins that she can hopefully grow close to and share stuff with.

Milagro is Lauren's middle name, and also her mother Lana's. I believe it's a maternal-line family tradition to give the middle name Milagro to first born daughters, so it makes total sense that it would be Bella's middle name. The real question was just what the baby's first name would be.

Bella's fine.  I just don't like Bella Duggar for some reason.  Maybe it's the ll and the gg together.  Or maybe because in some parts of the country it rhymes.

Annabelle is the name of the child Joy and Austin lost at 20 weeks. I don't think there will be much chance for confusion and i'm assuming Lauren wasn't thinking about that when she chose the name

Thank you for the correction,
I got Annabelle and  Addison mixed up.

All I could think of was Bella from My Dad Wrote a Porno podcast...

"Get me a McMassive Meal Deal with extra cheese sting salsa!"

She'll fit right in the the culinary culture of the Duggar clan.

I actually quire like Isabella or Isabelle but I cannot stand Bella. 100% would never use it as a nickname. I'd use "Isa," or "Izzie" if I needed a nickname

Even if they did go with Isabelle, Israel's nick name as been Izzy for years. It's a never-ending contest of similar sounding names!

I think we will see a new baby photoshoot with Anna, Lauren, Kendra and their daughters just before Christmas and then probably another one when Abbie gives birth.

I love the name Bella, it's a nickname I considered for myself.

I've never seen an IV insertion like Lauren's (anterior forearm).  Can any medical people explain why that would be used as opposed to the usual places?

This is where I had mine when I gave birth. I actually liked it there because it was totally out of the way, I barely noticed it was there when I wasn’t hooked up to something.

I wish I could have had mine placed there, they did mine back of my hand close to my wrist and I HATED it. Felt it every time I moved and they wouldn’t take it out till 24h post birth because I needed a WinRho shot.

Some names should have never been chosen and some stories never told ?

I had mine in for about 96 hours ( got admitted at 4pm on Monday and left at 6pm on Thursday) and I really did forget I had it in most of the time.

Hand Ivs are not the most stable spot for adults. The veins are smaller and the nerves run close by, so they can hurt on insertion. I’d take an arm IV any day over a hand.

I like the baby’s name well enough. Hoping that they now have the reality of Baby Bella, the dream of Baby Asa will fade a bit. I really liked the flowered blanket. Wonder if Lauren’s Mom is staying for a bit to help out. I kinda hope that all the Duggar birth groupies were not in the delivery room.

The name is beyond tacky, IMO. Annabell & Bella?  They really couldn't come up with a girl name that doesn't sound like their sister's very recent tragic loss? I gave these kids the benefit of the doubt that Lauren was just really immature and devastated by her loss.  But this is over the top.

I agree. I hope they at leasst gave Joy and Austin a heads up before telling everyone else.

I think she just looks pale because she is makeup free, compared to the metric tonne of bronzer she always seems to wear in TH

Nah, her arm and hand are also very pale.

I like the name Bella and I’m a sentimental sop so I love that they used Milagro as the middle name. I think the meaning - beautiful miracle - is super lovely.

Bella Duggar does rhyme for me because I drop my rs and as @bal maiden said, they both end in the schwa phoneme.
