Lori Alexander 71: She of Appalling Ignorance

Recommended Posts

In her video she remarks that she and Ken have love and intimacy and closeness in their relationship and that they enjoy each other. I don’t see any evidence of that. I see a woman who forced herself into submission so she could keep her lifestyle and I see a man stuck with a woman he can’t afford to divorce. At their ages, they should be traveling, exploring hobbies, and spending time with friends. I don’t know what Ken does all day- I can’t imagine he is all that busy- my guess is he “works” in his office to avoid her, and she spends her days striving for attention on various social media platforms. She and Ken appear to live completely separate lives. She doesn’t even cook for him. And she has minimal relationships with her adult children.

She said that she responds to mean comments with grace- talk about a complete lack of insight.

She claims that she wants to teach what she teaches so others can experience God’s best, yada yada yada- but she really doesn’t. She’s miserable and wants everyone else to be as miserable as she is.

And I know it’s been said- but she’s not teaching anything. Teaching involves engagement with learners, helping learners to understand the concepts, and coaching them through any challenges. Saying that it’s in the Bible or making a statement in and of itself is not teaching. That’s why requests for any sort of help or guidance are either ignored, deleted, or attached. And the women who respond that they’ve learned from her or been blessed by something haven’t learned- they’ve experienced the reinforcement of their echo chamber.

I remember Lori Alexander saying she worried about the water dinner guest drank. The water! If I ever had such a selfish, cheap, and ridiculous thought, I would never have admitted it. Her lack of hospitality would have not served her well in bible times. Does she have any idea how she is perceived by normal people? She is selfish to her core, and I call BS on feeding the neighborhood kids when the grandchildren visit, for "hours" no less. If she did supply snacks, the other parents would get invoices for sure. At least she didn'say she gave the kids sardines, LOL.

I’m pretty sure this is an FJ-generated misunderstanding. Lori did indeed say she notices how much her guests eat and how much water they use, which is very unhospitable indeed—but it seems clear to that the water component referred to things like long hot showers, not table water. Hot water usage is rude to keep track of, but nowhere near as bad as begrudging a glass of water to drink.

Now back to page 2 to continue catching up!

It’s quite evident that she doesn’t have a background in what she’s teaching. I know people don’t always need some big degree to teach scripture but it certainly helps. Ken always steps in to fight her battles with “more in depth knowledge” while she posts a single verse or says “there’s not one single verse in the Bible to show that taking pictures of other people’s homes and then posting it all over the internet to show how dirty they are is okay....oh I mean taking pictures of teenagers in prom dresses to show that they’re immodest......wait”.  She simply isn’t a good teacher. A good teacher wouldn’t assume that other teachers are trying to pull children in demonism (FYI my phone auto corrected this into feminism. Haha) just because they sit in a singing circle or something. She’s probably upset she wasn’t allowed to hit kids with rulers.

Lori is projecting today on Instagram.  No wonder she thinks feminists are angry.  She imagines them that way in her head.  It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Interesting how she always harps on “He gave women wombs, ovaries, and breasts for a reason,” but not that He gave men penises, scrotums, and sperm...

IMO if someone has to publicly announce to the world that they’re intimate and close, then chances are they’re not.. Actions speak louder than words, and thus far, I’m not impressed with Lori.   I think Lori doth protest too much. She should also  not be telling the world that the only reason why her husband stayed with her is because of the kids.

But she got submissive, and he « adores » (her word) her. The word « tolerate » is more appropriate.

So my question to Lori is, why would anyone want to emulate her and Ken’s marriage?  No wonder they were told not to counsel couples at church.

I asked @Ken when he was here why I would want to emulate his marriage when I much preferred mine. Mine was/is not transactional...it was an all or nothing, ride or die sort of marriage that didn't involve trading sex for submission. He had the nerve to tell me that my marriage sucked because it didn't follow Lori's "godly" commandments. NEWS FLASH Ken...I had an incredible almost 21 year marriage to a man who was man enough to not feel threatened by me.

You ain't no "alpha male"...your old lady drags you around by your short & curlies and you let her get away with it.

Lori and Ken Alexander have one of the worst marriages ever. Ken stays because it's cheaper to keep her. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he has strayed, given his flirtatious ways and all.  Maybe staying with her is his penance. I bet he doesn't get ten minutes and lube anymore, Lori is happy in her own room and probably locks the door at night and probably believes older people shouldn't have sex anymore.

@usmcmom, the last few years I've tried to make sure my kids see me get my flu shot, to emphasize that it's an important thing that everyone needs to do, and not just something that adults force on kids. They haven't been particularly impressed, so I guess this year I'll just get it when it's the most convenient for me.

We have several drug stores and grocery stores with pharmacies that give flu shots, but none of them offer a gift card. I'm a tiny bit jealous!

My daughter had to take allergy shots from a very young age, so it's never been an issue with her.  But I always made a point of getting my flu shot when she got hers for the same reason - it's good for adults, too.  We have usually gone to Walgreen's, they have a free membership card that earns points.  She usually uses the points we earn. But I think a gift card would be great.

WHAT? How does she justify that? Sorry, must have missed some stuff up-thread. Isn't that her only job?

There was a really interesting article on the A(Australian)BC website about the importance of aunties in young women/girls' lives. It discussed how they provide an alternative and supportive ear and shoulder for the girl to talk to and lean on without the baggage of the parental relationship. It did not at all suggest that an aunty could replace a mother, but rather that other relationships are very important in helping a child grow and develop. Lori would not agree methinks.

Her logic is so awful.

Truly everything she says means that you should never take any medicine to treat any illness since they all have side effects. If you die, it must have been the medicine, not the illness!! WTF!

Elderberry syrup has these side effects:

Nausea/vomiting (consumption of raw berries)

Weakness.

Dizziness.

Numbness.

Stupor.

Based on Lori's logic, you shouldn't be taking this syrup either. SMH.

Someone just suggested that too me. I have been struggling with allergy induced asthma for 3 weeks. I read up on elderberry and it says that it has been shown to make asthma inhalers less effective? yeah, no thanking you, I need to keep the asthma meds working.

I am allergic to God's Green Earth - grasses, trees, weeds, molds, pollen etc. and a bunch of foods. Every time I try a "natural alternative" medicine I get a either a rash, hives, migraine, vomiting or a combination of the four. I tried an all natural shampoo for a week and I got eczema on my scalp, neck and ears SO BAD it took a month to clear up after I quit using it.

I say Bring on the Synthetics!

I have a similar problem, but with skin products. I haven't tried much natural stuff because when I find a product that I don't react to, I do not change from it! And when the company changes said product, I almost cry because trying new things on my skin is torture!

And to make my life more fun, I've developed a sun allergy. As in, I itch after being exposed to the sun for longer than 15 minutes.  Fun times. ?

That is a really good idea. I’m not sure I ever thought to do that.

One year, my son was due for one of his boosters and, of course, was quite unhappy to be at the doctor’s office. Our family doctor was due for his own flu shot so he called two nurses in at once and got his flu shot at the same time my son got his booster. It made me so so happy to see a physician do that for a child.

Edit to add: I’ve never received a gift card before for getting my flu shot. Just another reason I am thrilled to have a Publix in our new hometown.

That's a good physician! My orthodontist put his own braces on, with lots of help from his nurses, a few months before I got braces. The pictures of him getting his braces on were in the waiting room, and I liked that he understood what his patients were going through.

Oh for fucks sake, Lori.  She's benefiting from someone else's pain.  I can practically see the glee on her face when she realizes how she can capitalize on a miserable woman's cry for help.

Thanks for sharing about elderberry and inhalers. We did elderberry gummies last year- not in place of medical treatment but to help boost immunity- they took them with their vitamins. I will have to reconsider using them this year for DS.

DS hasn’t been diagnosed with asthma but does use an inhaler at times. When he was 5 he caught some sort of virus- it came on out of nowhere- he woke up one Thursday morning with a slight cough and runny nose- he has allergies so we assumed that’s what it was. My daycare provider sent me a text when he got off the bus that afternoon and said his cough sounded much worse. I couldn’t get him in to our pediatrician so we went to urgent care where they gave him a breathing treatment, diagnosed bronchitis and gave him an antibiotic.  That night, he slept with DH who is a paramedic. I got up at 4:30 to go to the gym, cake back around 6 and DH was very concerned. We both got showered and ready for the day, called the ped for an appointment, took DD to daycare, and went to the doctor. We happened to be put on the schedule of our ped who is well versed in asthma- he wrote the protocols for our hospital. He gave two back to back breathing treatments in his office and sent us to the hospital.

At the hospital, he was almost sent by helicopter to a pediatric hospital 2 hours away. The last steroid push and breathing treatment got him to the threshold where he could be maintained locally.

I know people with asthma but it wasn’t until we watched our then 5 year old struggling that I realized how terrifying it is. It happened so fast- and as parents, we were powerless.

Interestingly enough, his allergies are much better, but his need for his inhaler is increasing. We go to the specialist in a couple of weeks and I suspect we may receive an official diagnosis.

And as an aside, because Lori likes to suggest that childcare providers don’t care- my provider kept my child after hours, took her to a birthday party already scheduled that night, and got her to my parents where she spent the night. No extra cost to me. She would have done more if needed.

@Frog99 oh my goodness! That is scary. the article I read was from Penn State medical school. It may reduce the effectiveness of theophylline in asthma medicine.

I had a friend die at age 25 of an asthma attack. I urge everyone not to mess around with asthma. It's one thing to use honey or whiskey or Vick's vapor rub for a cough, quite another when the patient is struggling to breathe.

I hope your son is doing well managing his asthma.  ?

And with this comment on one of Lori's posts today I am taking a Transformed Wife break for a while.  This kind of misogyny/sexism/superiority complex that Lori allows on FB makes me physically ill.  I am an aerospace engineer and I can guarantee you a majority of men could not do my job.  Time to go write a strongly worded blog about women's rights!

@hollyfeller, and there’s absolutely no guarantee that a parent who’s an aerospace engineer—even one who can teach the subject matter brilliantly—will automatically end up with a brood of little aerospace engineers, people being individuals and having varying talents and interests, and all.

Yep.  My mom was a teacher and my dad was a lawyer.  I went in a completely different direction.  I grew up when the Space Shuttle was new so that was all I ever wanted to do.  Plus, I work in the defense industry.  Lori and her leghumpers have no idea how much they have to thank me for.

Me too. It’s a joy. Eucerin makes products to help with the sun allergy after exposure. They aren’t widely available in the US, but I found it on Amazon.

Eucerin Sun Allergy After Sun Lotion

I wasn’t completely itch free after sun exposure, but it was a lot better than how I normally feel. No visible patches of hives!

They just can't stand any female competition. And this guy needs a lesson in biology. The female IQ, the same as the male isn't leveraged into their children.  It needs more than a good IQ to become a sucessfull engineer. And no, a penis isn't needed for.

We sell Eucerin, it's a good, quality brand. The Sun Allergy series also comes with a sun protection. If someone want's more info, just ask. And a recommondation if you suffer from sun allergy is taking Calcium, Vit D and Beta Carotin in spring to stabilize the mast cells, so that they release less histamine.

Hmm? Wonder what Lori was left out of?? From Twitter:

LORI:  If you’re left out of something, even something big, don’t give into self-pity and don’t tell others. It accomplishes nothing beneficial. Give it to the Lord and don’t allow it to steal your joy! #yourjoyisinjesus ❤️

On the speculation bus, but on Alyssa IG story she had what appeared to be a picnic/birthday party for her SIL at a park.  It could have been creatively edited but it appeared just to be Ryan's family and Alyssa/Jon and baby.    Wonder if Lori wasn't invited to that?? She may be on the outs with the DIL after tweeting about taking her granddaughter to the beach and scolding strangers about their attire.   I wonder what really goes on in that family despite all the beautifully staged photos.

Also, took a Lori break this weekend, but was SOOO glad she tackled that burning issue of polygamy in her newest video.  I can sleep better at night knowing her thoughts...hahaha: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXEZz2LD1fc
