She reminds me of a first aid instructor I had who kept referring to his time as a paramedic and calls he would go on when the patients were "Indians" because you know that's super relevant to the (already useless) point that he was trying to make.

I think mentioning the likely ethnicity of the gentlemen was important because she needed to speak to them in Spanish. Although did she say Hispanic or Latino? The latter would be correct, and isn’t her husband of Latin decent?
