Still a mix of happy and horrified regarding Addie's courting. He seems much less than ideal, especially when you look at the types of girls the Morton boys manage to marry.

Just a note because you have Brandon Shupe on your list with a questionmark, @Bethella. He's definitely not 18 yet. I don't have exact birth dates on the Shupe kids, but I'm pretty sure he's 16. He's over three years younger than Melanie, who must be turning 20 right around now.

ETA: I'm going to try to reconstruct some rough Shupe birthdays, which isn't easy now that Erika's blog doesn't exist anymore. Feel free to add info or correct me if anything is wrong.

It could also lead to awkward moments in the post nuptial chambers when the fundie who saved herself for marriage realized that her dashing young man was a warrior eunuch.

Fantastic job, as always, @Bethella.   I'm horrified to see how many of the people who I still think of as little children now make the list.

I'm also wondering whether it is time for us to start a divorced Fundie list.  Joseph Darnell (who just remarried), Gabriel Pearl, and Rebekkah Keller come immediately to mind, but there are others.  Or is that too tacky?

I'm not sure it's worth maintaining a divorced list, it doesn't change very often and in at least some cases we don't really know the legal status.

Maybe include it at the top of each 'Scandals and Crimes' thread?

A fundie divorcing is a scandal, considering they want to control all of our marriages, sex, and reproductive lives. It also seems like a lot of their divorces come when actual crimes are involved, and the ones that don't divorce in the after a crime has occurred (ahem: Anna Duggar) should be highlighted as part of the insanity/abuse that fundamentalism causes.

We've also discussed the Katie S'morton situation endlessly and it's never been snarking on her, it's been discussing how insane her former in-laws are for still supporting him, and continuing to highlight the dangers of fundamentalism.

That said: Katie Smith likely still believes that while her divorce was righteous, no one else should be allowed to divorce with anything short of those circumstances, and so I do think it is reasonable to keep a visible list.

As for the "we don't know what's official" it could have a "status unclear,' and then detail what we do know, e.g. no full nuclear family pics on social media since x date, or whatever.

Stephen Bradrick seems to be in a relationship with a single mom per facebook. Also, I didn’t see John Robert Moore on there, I am presuming he is no longer considered fundie as he is queer and in an open relationship perhaps?

Isn’t that usually the case with most fundies where they believe their abortion, extra-marital affair, using a rubber and/or pill, etc was OK but everyone sinned doing these activities?

The problem is that all the -iah girl names I know are not spelled that way. Maya, Kaya, Chaya, Gaia. So Miah, Kiah, Chiah, Giah?
