Botkin Alert. They are back on the conference circuit!

Here you go:  Geoff, David, and the Botkinettes, in all their modest poster girl for courtship (yet still unmarried) glory at the 10 Talents Conference, October 3 - 5 in  Nashville.  https://10talents.co/speakers  And I note that Joe Morecraft raises his ugly head again.

Pre-registration is open.  Book your place now because attendance is limited to 180 true believers  Possibly a few potential converts can sneak in.

But please note:

Register. You'll provide information to help other conference attendees get to know you, including a bio, current areas of work and ministry, and your plans for future activity. You choose how much data to share and who to share it with.

Well thank goodness for that.  Can I please register anonymously?

Perhaps not.  Party poopers.

Log in. For security, there's a brief approval process before you can access the app. Once in, you can learn about the goals and passions of the other attendees, and search by interests, ministry experience, and more (like so).

I think they want to screen out infidels like me.  And probably everyone else on FJ.  :D

Ooh! Ooh! Great find, @Palimpsest, thanks!

Sounds to me like they're trying to swell their ranks a bit: "We need more allies and mentors ourselves." Methinks things are getting a bit stale in Middle Tennessee. Or maybe Geoff is hoping to marry off his daughters at last...

Well, in the absence of other information (sucky website) I'm assuming it must be FREE!

We’re not an organization – just a bunch of friends who are part of Christ the King Church in Middle Tennessee (statement of faith here). When we’re not working to pull this conference together, we strive to serve the Lord through community outreach, business start-ups, media creation, state politics, family involvement, and our local church. We're very blessed to live in a community of active Christians with different gifts and strengths, and this has given us a passion for helping others build their own teams.

Plus, we need more allies and mentors ourselves.

Looking forward to meeting you there!

But they will probably try to empty your wallet for you if you get approved to register.

Interesting that they think they live in a community of active Christians.  We had a local (my spidey senses told me that local was legit but I can't prove it) drop by not so long ago to tell us that the Botkins, and their hangers-on, were not well thought of in the community.  Noise (guns), speeding, being snotty, and trying buy up much of the area for the cult were complaints.  IIRC.  I should try to find the old thread,

Just looked at the picture of the Botkins and two other young guys with descriptions of what they 'do'.

They're just too precious and 'extra' as my daughter would say.

On the Fri schedule, David is speaking on “The Full-Orbed Christian Life.” I do hope they invite Professor Trelawney. She’d be delighted to join them, I’m sure of it!

So, I don't know much about this family, but David Botkin's instagram is insane. It's literally all guns, and I'd be genuinely concerned as to what would happen if he went just slightly crazier.

So *speculation alert* is there any chance that this David Tucker guy might be a Botkinette suitor?  He's one of the few non-Botkins favored with a keynote slot and his Facebook profile lists him as the "political director" for t-rex arms.  If this dude isn't eligible, I don't know who is.

Gun holsters are the family bidness.  Being in the gun world allows him to go mega wide stance with straps holding his holster to his leg, which emphasizes his, um, manhood. It's insanely pretentious  and uh, extra manly.

Hmmmmm, political director of T-Rex Arms?  Like an NRA liaison?  *heads off to facebook to investigate*

Oh, the Tuckers are long-term Botkin cling-ons  I wouldn't get your hopes up for a courtship.

IIRC, David Tucker started as an assistant at the Western Conservatory of Questionable Botkin Art in 2015ish before moving over to T-Rex Arms.  His brother, Jonathan, works at T-Rex too.

My guess is the Tucker spawn are already Botkinette rejects.  If they ever plucked up the courage to approach Geoff the Princesses in the first place. I can't remember how old they are or whether they are married.  Others might know.

I'm fairly sure David is several years younger than both AS and E but he could fit the bill if he is still unmarried and one or other is OK with being thought of as a cradle robbing cougar.

Nothing is impossible.

Based on his Linkedin, Jonathan looks more in line to be David's father https://www.linkedin.com/in/jonathantucker44

I think this is David's sister, Alicia, who also works at T.Rex: https://www.instagram.com/_alicia_joy_

From Alicia's Instagram:

The man with the grey hair at the far left seems to be Jonathan Tucker (the girl in pink may be a younger daughter?) and left to right the others look like David Tucker, Nawelle Noor(?), Anna Sofia Botkin, Elizabeth Botkin, and Alicia Tucker.

Oops, yes.  Excuse my brainfart.  It is past my bedtime.  Jonathan may also be an elder at their spanky new church.  I'm too sleepy to check.  Mañana.  :)

ETA, is it just me, and I'm not trying to be mean, but does Elizabeth seem to be aging rather rapidly?  I hardly recognised her in that photo or her mugshot on the conference page.

Yup, I was thinking the same thing.

I believe she's in a couple of pictures on Alicia's IG, taken in England. One looked more or less familiar, but the other was so different that I second guessed whether it was her. I think she might be one of those women who are very full-faced in their 20s, and thin out rapidly when they hit their 30s.

The makeup and her hairline don’t appear very flattering. I’m no fashion maven, but I think the look makes her look middle-aged.

(Or is 30s actually middle age? I’m not up to date on such things. It’s hard enough to keep track of my own age these days. I don’t feel old, but I get a discount some places these days.)

The bloom, pardon me for saying it, is off the rose(s). Poor girls.

I don't understand why this bio fails to mention Geoff's stellar career in duck biology:

I had to really look to make sure it was her in the photo above.

Another case of Daddy (here's looking at you Steveovah) being the biggest obstacle to the very goals he raised his daughters for, I mean this was the guy who prayed over one daughter's ovaries :562479351e8d1_wtf(2):.   Don't care for the Botkinettes (unlike Sarah Maxwell who I do find a lot more likeable) however I do feel sorry that their fruitcake of a father has kept them home during some important years of their lives.  Even if AS and E are fine with it, it's a bounded "choice" for them in any case.

How on earth did you find this? There’s nothing about it on Western Conservatory (someone should remind Geoff about that webpage) and I’m on their mailing list and never got an email about it.

One of the Botkinette’s profiles says she’s studying “counseling.” Given their parents’ open disdain of psychology (and college) I’m guessing she’s studying Nouthetic “counseling,” which is little more than victim shaming with a few Bible verses thrown in. Given their terrible victim blaming in that series of posts that they wrote on sexual abuse, I suppose this is not surprising.

That's probably because when someone looked at the photographic evidence of his duck biologist career they tactlessly pointed out that he was feeding Canada Geese, not ducks.  We should try to put together a montage of various Fundies feeding Canada Geese and calling them ducks at some point.  I'm starting a collection.

But remember, Geoff Botkin is a polymath and a genius, even as he exaggerates all his failed enterprises and tries to make them sound like major successes.  He certainly inflates his resume to extraordinary proportions.

In some ways I feel a teeny tiny bit sorry for him.  I don't think he even graduated college because he and Vicky were thoroughly McCottered so young.

And I know, I know.  He is poisonous and developed his own little Patriarchal family cult when McCotter dumped him (or vice versa) and came back from New Zealand to snuggle up with DPIAT.  He is Very Bad News.

I double-checked.  Jonathan Tucker (David's Dad) is indeed co-Elder with Geoff Botkin at Christ the King Church in Middle-earth Middle Tennessee.  They still haven't figured out their vision statement.  How long have they had that church?  Anyone know?

Or we could do another where they’re calling them Canadian geese.

And both of the Botkinettes are working on a "business start-up."

Didn't it evolve from the Botkins' home church? Speaking of churches, this seems to be one of the first public appearances for Morecraft since he was turfed out of his longtime pastorate a few years back.

Re: Hickman County, TN, where the Botkins reside. This locale must be in the running for asshole of the universe. It's where the Pearls live as well.

I was aware of Geoff's claim to fame as a duck biologist, but didn't know that photographic evidence of same showed Canada Geese.  Hilarious!

Thank you to whoever mentioned David's IG. It is scary, he goes beyond the family business and is an absolute gun fanatic. When Geoff passes away and there is a stand down over the government taking away his "right" you know who will be leading the charge. What's even scarier is how he allows his young children around weapons, pushes his second amendment over anything else and in general is a complete loon.

Guidestar.org (a website that lists nonprofits) has no listing for Christ the King Church in Centerville, TN. Interesting.

Maybe because they're a business and not a non-profit? Their URL is ckctn.com.

If Geoffrey indeed has some illness, it doesn't appear to prevent him from bloviating at length giving the sermon on most Sundays.
