Lori Alexander 68: June Gloom Has Arrived

Recommended Posts

Here is her latest IG post. It shows up right next to her photo of the new baby and I think that speaks volumes. Evidently she has some of her family with her and she wants to concentrate on petty seventh grade bickering like this note.

I bet she was a real gem as a teenager.

All these recent racist posts really got me thinking of a particular sermon I heard about 3 years ago. I haven’t been an active church goer over the last few years, mainly because the pastor of the church I’m a member of left to preach in another state. He really knew how to preach to your soul and how to tie it into living in modern times. Anyways, he started preaching on Jonah and the Whale, and I wasn’t sure where it was going. We all had heard the story many times. Then at the last minute, he brought up Jonah being prejudiced against the people of Nineveh, and tied that into racism. He went on that you could not truly be a Christian and a true follower of Christ if you were prejudiced against anyone. He stated that you couldn’t really love Jesus if you looked down on anyone else because of race. That really stuck with me because being where I live in the South, I’ve witnessed racism on more than one occasion, always from people who claimed to be Christian. These people posting on Lori’s page really need to hear that message, though it seems that their hearts are so black that it would go right through it. Heck those John and Alexander fellows would probably be ready to argue against it, pitchforks and fire torches in hand.

My pastor also recently did a series of sermons on the Book of Jonah.  One of the messages was God gives second chances.  I also love that my Mississippi pastor and his wife have adopted two children from Ethiopia, whom they and the mixed racial congregation adore.  Lori would keel over as one of the ministers from the church we attended was an African-American woman who I asked to help with the eulogy at my mother's funeral.  I have no place for this foolishness, and I hope my cousin, who I think is a mod, gets her act together and starts dealing with this.

I think Lori and other racists who claim to be Christian would crucify Christ again if he preached against racism.

I love that.

My cousin’s in-law was a Southern Baptist pastor in very rural Alabama. Conservative, but not fundie. Last summer they hosted a basketball camp for a week and there was a service on Sunday, where he encouraged the families that were visiting to come back if they don’t have a home church. Well apparently the deacons and members were NOT happy about this. Why? Because there were many African American families that Sunday, and they did NOT want them in their church. Well he immediately resigned, and he told them off in front of the congregation and said they would have to answer to God one day for that.

I scrolled through all the comments just now to see what Lori and Ken have done about all the racists. The only comments that have been deleted and I assume those people have been banned are Alexander and John MacGregor. I believe John was banned because he insulted Lori and Ken and not because he is a racist.

So instead of deleting all those horrible comments and apologizing for creating a place where people of color felt unsafe and where it was a pit of vipers, Ken makes this statement.

If only he had apologized for stirring the pot, deleted all the horrible posts and posted that, we might, just might, believe he was totally sincere.

Re the Lori fan who referred to MLK as “Michael King” (his birth name; MLK Sr. changed his name and his son’s to Martin Luther) and said he didn’t believe in the Trinity:  MLK Jr. was attracted to the beliefs of the Unitarian-Universalist Church, and once admitted that he maintained his allegiance to the Baptist faith because he knew he could reach black Americans more readily through that denomination.

But for all Ken and lori’s protestations that they aren’t racist, Lori reposted that blog about The “good idea” of Hungary paying incentives for its residents to have babies.  If I weren't banned I’d ask her who in her book would qualify for these incentives? Every American citizen regardless of race or religion as long as they are citizens, right Lori?  Oh wait. You really mean white Christian people.  That’s what that blog post was inferring in hungary.

I’m sorry. Still 100 percent racist

Where's Lori's response to this?  Isn't this her page?  Once again, the horse of truth has to ride in and make a word salad statement.

I couldn't believe she posted something so offensive today after the firestorm yesterday.  Severine and Toni live on as posters.  This proves Lori and Ken's bar is pretty low as to acceptable behavior.  It's fine to be a racist and speak hatred, as long as you are a homeschooling SAHM who doesn't wear pants.

how about we castrate all men until they can provide for a family? How about we don’t give men a say at all? I like that idea. Men don’t get a say and women can run things. This is why most of Lori’s male fans are single. Divorce rates are the lowest they have been in years. Because people are waiting longer to get married and start families. They want to be financially secure.

If the stranger is to be treated this way, how much more should we treat well our black, yellow red, brothers and sisters who are natives to this country? And a part of the fabric of this country.

Why do I feel as if Ken just patronisingly patted on the head every person of color in this country with that statement?

So maybe all the women should get together and buy themselves an island. Use sperm donors and raise their children. Guys don't have to worry about it and women can live in peace. That way women who like construction, engineering and such can work in peace without harassment. And other women can do what they need to.

Daddy King changed their names after having taken his son to Germany with him for a religious conference. MLK Jr. was a boy when this happened, the change was legally made, and it was massively disrespectful for that racist wench to refer to him the way she did. Racist folks are like that though, don't have even basic human respect for non-whites. I'm glad this topic has almost run its course, as I thought I might have to put the thread on ignore.   I can watch the news if I want to see racism in my face.

https://www.daytondailynews.com/lifestyles/holiday/why-martin-luther-king-father-changed-their-names/pkcA8zsRCVh5oVMhsFi2oI/

The Black church has been a cornerstone of black life, particularly in segregated times. Whether Baptist or AME, Dr. King knew that an organized fight for civil rights would need the support of the black church, although some thought he was moving too fast. His practical theology was informed by many faith traditions, and he modeled the non-violent foundation of the civil rights movement on the teachings of Gandhi. You can actually believe just about anything in the UU, doesn't mean that he didn't believe in the trinity because he was attracted to the inclusive nature of the UU.  Dr. King was a human, he had human flaws as does every esteemed white founding father (slaveholder Thomas Jefferson and his black paramour and children anyone?). Yet, his courage was inspiring, his impact on society great, and he paid the ultimate price in standing for right. I will always admire him. Racists need to take a closer look at the white people they esteem so much, hypocrites.

My question for Lee is so fucking what? What's wrong with POC having more children? Oh that's right, you only want white people to have more babies. But at the same time most ignore y'all claim to be pro-life and will use the high abortion rate of black babies as a talking point. But you don't actually care about black babies or any babies that aren't white.

Also these people are crying against government funded health care because it's socialism.  Then what do we call these incentives that Hungary is giving families?

Maybe I’m missing something, but at least in the US, there isn’t any mandated maternity leave. And precious few employment protections for pregnant women. I think I’ll listen to advice from people who actually, you know, know what the hell is actually going in the world. Because mandatory maternity leave is the stuff of dreams right now in the US.

You know, even if the Bible didn’t flat out say so, I would love my neighbor as myself. So would any decent Muslim or Buddhist or Jew or Sikh or Atheist or...

Christianity not only doesn’t have a monopoly on treating people as they should be treated, lately it seems to be largely ignoring that tenet altogether.

I missed the edit because I was outside for several hours. Yellow? Red? Seriously?

As a half Native person the use of the word "red" to describe me or other Indigenous people is offensive. So is using the word "yellow" to describe Asian folks. Ken is a racist tool.
