Imagine the negotiations JB/TLC and Gil/UP would have to have if there was a Lawson-Jana courtship and wedding. I’d watch a show about that. Jana and Lawson could do talking heads about how they hope god will lay it on their fathers to solve the problems because they want to start on their quiver as soon as possible.

Didn't he only post a video of the video score card? So we have no idea if it was Jackson Duggar, it just said "Jackson."

As far as Jana's instagram aesthetic, I think it is completely modeled after Laura DeMasie's. The warm filters are the same, the solo pics are the same, the balance of kid pics and travel pics... it is very much like Laura's.

Someone on reddit allegedly found the outfits those two ladies were originally wearing — the black dress used to have short cut off jeans shorts, and the other dress was shorter. The outfits and hair styles seemed very similar, but then again, this is the internet.

By the same token, Jana did take several trips to JTTH. It’s also possible that she thought it was somehow better to portray fellow fair goers as modestly dressed as she (however “modest” make-up, stylish outfits, and posed pix can be).

Someone on reddit photoshopped Jana in a skimpy bikini, and it's now making the rounds of Duggar/fundie FB. It's easy enough to find with very little looking.

I don't know why I feel like it's inappropriate, but I just do. I know Jana was out of line manipulating those girls' images, but this just seems like a borderline violation.

Saw it on FW and came here to say the same thing. Everyone on FW was laughing and saying it was absolutely necessary. I didn't comment on it but I feel it's not appropriate. They are wanting to make it go viral.  I'm glad it hasn't been posted here. I mean I know these people put themselves out publicly but I also feel that for Jana to see that would be very upsetting, both now and in the future.

bit of snooping under a few hahtags relevant to that carnival may find the picture the young girl in the background is taking of her friends. I too don't believe she is flipping Jana off. I suspect those girls were in "short, shorts" my guess cute little denim  and that's why they are photo shopped. Way to endorse rape culture....

Someone up thread asked if she would photo shop Jill in her shorts. I don't think she would have a problem with Jill or Jinger's shorts. Just these girl's possible "short, shorts"

Omg she photoshopped a girl in pretty much the same outfit on as her?????

I typed my previous post before seeing all this. My guess was right. Since some one found this pic, I wonder how long this fiasco will take to get back to the three girls. Could turn into a magazine article.

Edited to add that it might not be them as it looks like in Jana's picture the girl in the shorts is in a sleeveless top, the dress girl fits though.

If it is them I want them to put a photo shopped pic of Jana in the background of their pic. Go wild on the possiblities.... some christian martyr, a MAGA hat......

If you ask me personally, it is absolutely inappropriate. If anyone did that to me, I would feel hurt and furious. My personal beliefs are one thing - hate me for that. Photoshopping me into situations I have never even been in, and showing me in clothes I wouldn't wear? That's one bridge too far.

I'm calling BS on this one because the girls in the black appears to be wearing a tank top in Jana's picture, and the girl in the stripes is wearing a looser shirt/dress in Jana's picture (her sleeve is looser/sticking out). However, the grass looks the same to me.

That being said, I definitely think Jana photoshopped their shorts into dresses and skirts. What girl would want to wear a skirt with that "pattern" (if you can even call it that) with a striped shirt? It looks like she used some sort of a "blemish" tool that copies and pastes the surrounding color and patterns. As for the girl in the black, I can literally see the "lines" as if Jana took a coloring tool on some photo app and drew on a dress.

I wonder if Jim Bob is responsible for the horrible photoshop job. I am just guessing that he might monitor all of Jana’s social media and I can totally see him making sure those changes were made.* And if he or Jana didn’t know how to do it, they could ask. He is pretty good with computer, ya know. 

Just the first thought that came to my mind when I saw the pictures. Regardless of who did it, it’s a lousy thing to do.

I feel like I'm thinking way too deeply about this lol but.

If someone were to photoshop Jana wearing a MAGA hat or photoshopping her dressed as she is into the middle of a beach party, that would be one thing. But it does feel icky to me to photoshop her into a bikini because like.....either way it seems like there's some sexualization going on. Jana (potentially, since the jury is still out on whether she photoshopped or not) saw these girls' outfits and decided they were too skimpy to be seen on her Super Pure Instagram, so she put more modest skirts over them. Then someone else turns around and says, "Well then I'll just take your clothes away from you and see how you like that." And while I get in some ways what they're going for, there's such a fraught relationship between women's bodies and our clothing and how much we wear and don't wear and how we can be sexualized regardless of how long the hems of our skirts are and then I just think we're missing the point.

Which is that Jana has so much time on her hands that she can painstakingly photoshop ugly skirts onto girls in the background of her carnival photo for fear of being criticized for not properly posing herself in front of some less defrauding hussies, instead of like...doing anything worthwhile with her time lol.

I think the principal is similar, but I feel like the Jana in a bikini thing is more inappropriate. With her post, she was (probably) desexualizing those people, making them more modest. In their real lives, I doubt they would feel uncomfortable wearing such skirts- maybe they'd feel frumpy or like it wasn't their style, but it probably wouldn't make them uncomfortable. However, the picture of Jana in a bikini is sexualizing her, showing off tons of skin. If Jana were to dress like that in real life, she would probably be deeply uncomfortable. It definitely goes against her personal beliefs and preferences, and would draw negative attention from the whole purity culture scene she's a part of. It was pretentious and silly of her to photoshop skirts into the post, but the bikini pic just seems humiliating and violating to me. Not cool.

What Jana did was not cool. But she did not identify the people or share their faces even. 

Putting Jana's face on a bikini-clad body is different. They want it to trend so they can embarrass her and so that when you search her name, it might come up on google images. That's over the line in my opinion.

The difference between that and a deepfake porn video is not that huge. You're trying to shame someone over a fake picture of their body. 

I'm not sure what anyone gains by perpetuating the photoshopping. You just make yourself look as ridiculous as Jana but with an extra malicious intent.
