Her youngest was born June 10th so she will likely get the Irish twins she wants.

I just don't understand why having Irish twins would be a specific goal.  What does it matter? How is your life improved? How are the lives of your children improved? What's that -- it makes not one whit of difference? You don't say.  Really, WHY? For... A hashtag???  Man, and these people wonder why we snark on them.

It makes her special. She actually has Irish triplets since her twin boys were born only 10.5 months apart from one of her other boys.

All I know is that if the baby isn't born by tomorrow night she'll have to unpack her hospital bag and change out May for June on that letter board (I got the same one for my daughter.)

I was checking to see if she had the baby yet when I stumbled upon these older videos her husband has talking about the huge problem of not enough independent baptist churches in New Mexico.

I just... I can't... ?

She’s been quiet for 30+ hours. She’s in labour. I’m calling it. Baby 5 or 6 June. Girl called Cora

I don’t think she will tell us the name right away. I hope it’s Cora but I’m afraid it will be Cassie or something close.

She posted a pic of her son holly a cake which he baked without any help. The comments are turned off. She probably doesn't want to be asked if she's had the baby yet.

She posted earlier today, so maybe there is still hope to ruin her irish twins plan.

As an infertile, people like her just drive me freaking crazy. I like to be able to pretend that every pregnant person I know planned to try and at least made some kind of attempt at conception during the fertile window. One friend who knows I'm infertile told me she didn't know her exactly how far along she was with her second because her period hadn't come back from breastfeeding her first (kids ended up about 20 months apart and she was about 25 weeks pregnant with her first when we started trying). I didn't need or want to know that! Super fertility is such a smack in the face.

Anyway, Courtney reminds me of the Garfunkle and Oats song, Pregnant Women are Smug:

I just spotted the article in a magazine I bought! (Trashy, guilty pleasure type :pb_redface:) It’s the same text, and a few of the same photos. The only thing changed from the website is a short bit of info explaining what Irish twins are.

It may not mean much, but I do sympathize with you.  It was really hard when we were trying to conceive, and it seemed like everyone around us was expecting.  You are not alone.

Feigning nonchalance about one’s hyperfertility (“oh, we never set out to have 53 kids, it just sorta happened!”) while ALSO signing off every Instagram post with #momofmany #megamom #10under10#largefamilylife #nevernotpregnant is especially smarmy.

There’s an IFB pastor and his wife in my area with 9 kids(I believe she was pregnant with a tenth but miscarried); she once told me “We didn’t plan to have this many,” and I had to bite my tongue to keep from saying “Well, you didn’t try hard enough NOT to, either.”

I completely understand your feelings on this as I kinda feel that too. Also infertile and will require IVF to conceive if I want children. Nonchalantly acting like having baby after baby after baby and tee hee, we never even try makes me eye roll hard and want to say oh, fuck you. It just sounds so ungrateful and arrogant. Posting #10under10 #momofmany #irishtwinsandtriplets #alwayspregnant #noteventrying is too over proud of your hyper fertility imho. Good for you, you are fertile. We get it. So many people struggle to even have one so yeah, appreciate your kids, appreciate your ability to have them so easy and that they are healthy and happy. Like the number is more important than the actual children.

Is it bad I hope the baby comes on the 11th? Just to ruin her perfect plan.

Oh, I couldn't agree more. With all of this.

Courtney is multitasking. She's in labor and found the time to congratulate Erin on her pregnancy. ?

I expect we'll wake up to an announcement (in the US).

"Mama is tired".

No shit. So is your entire reproductive system.

And let us not lose sight of the really amazing part of this: Courtney WILL be pregnant again this year.
