basically she is ok selling out her morals (or fully adhearing to them) as long as she is getting paid?

Also, obligatory Kirk Cameron is a gaping asshole, with his one redeeming quality being that he made me laugh heartily when I hate-watched Fireproof and he/his character seemed to believe that taking a baseball bat to his giant 1998-ass CRT computer monitor would destroy all the evil devil bad dirty porn he was looking at.

I need to find and watch this movie, it sounds so bad that it's brilliant.  Kirk seemed to go from a normal child star to a huge fundie asshole in a short space of time. A few child stars seem to find god and become horrible people. At least with their is rehab for the ones who turn to drink and drugs, their is no rehab for people that turn into Kirk Cameron.

@Glasgowghirl Parts of it truly are so bad they're good.  Kirk Cameron rolling in a ball on the floor crying - repeatedly - is pretty funny.  So is his go-to problem-solving technique, bashing things with a baseball bat (twice!)   The screaming fights and hand-wringing over internet p*rn is pretty amusing as well.  

As an aside, the Duggars loved Fireproof.  It is, in Jim-Bob's words, the best movie ever made.  All of them, including a pre-Derick Jillymuffin, saw it at SAICFF (yes, little Dougie Phillips's masturbatory alternative to Sundance) and thought it was amazing.

Maybe this is FJ’s true mission? The creation of a Fundie Rehab for those that want to break away! It could include classes on other religions (even about the non-religious ?), intro to Feminism, evolution 101 and even some basic home economics classes for all the fundie boys who relied on their moms and sisters. I think this is it, everyone, the real reason we’ve all been brought together here.

Here is the trailer for Fireproof. I think the only way to see the whole thing is to throw some money at it. They wanna make money off those hate watchers. There are reviews of it on youtube though.

Fireproof came out right as my fundie ex and I were going through our divorce. He said the movie hit him hard and he cried a lot through it. I had absolutely no desire to see it. 

I remember the episode where the Duggars went to see it and JB said it was the best movie ever made. They also made sure to let everyone know that in the last scene (I think?) where Kirk kisses his wife, he had to have his ACTUAL wife stand in for the actress so he wouldn't be accused of being unfaithful. Or something like that. Because Jesus.

ETA: I just watched the trailer and the tag line is "never leave your partner behind." He and I never felt like partners and I had absolutely no trouble leaving that marriage behind. I left and never looked back and it was the best thing I've ever done. He and I were both so passive aggressive we'd still be in that miserable relationship if I hadn't finally walked out.
