We know Lori's daughter in law appears to have built up a good home based jewelry business.

I think Erin’s business is more than home based. I periodically check her IG page and she referenced hiring people several months ago. She also does wholesale orders. I don’t think this is something she is doing at a desk in a corner somewhere. My guess is she has a studio at home or in a separate location (Alyssa often has her kids per IG). The pic reviews on Etsy look as though she packages items in a nice and personal way. She has 175 items listed in her shop. I know jewelry isn’t huge but that’s still a lot of storage.

I  know it's early in the year but let's start our predictions on when/ how long Lori will summer in Door County this year.

I predict Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, the entire summer, just over 14 weeks.

Except it’s not “a good friend”. It’s your daughter in law’s sister. And I am pretty sure that statement came from a comment made on one of Emily’s posts.

Was Lori always anti-birth control (referring to the time her blog began bc she was obviously ok with the idea at some point)?

I have wondered about Erin's business operations. I do remember months back when it was mentioned here that she was hiring people. I agree, it's possible she is working at another location away from home that could be equipped for storage and distraction free working.

A business like that would take up time. If Erin is running her business away from the home that has to piss off Lori.  But, with Lori's fangirls who have home businesses, those women have to be spending a lot of time working on projects which means they might not always be tending to the kids or the home.  I guess Lori is ok with those types of businesses as long as the women are staying at home.

From the fangirls' FB business pages and the website that I viewed it seemed they were mailing out some or most of their orders. I know USPS picks up packages from people's homes in many areas. IIRC, in rural areas that's not the case.  Also, some people opt to ship products via UPS or FedEx which could mean driving to drop off spot or stores that are authorized shippers.  Having a home based business could mean that you have spend time away from home to get products out or even promote the business or sell at fairs.

So. Lori's grandkids will be probably be going to PUBLIC SCHOOL. Evil PUBLIC SCHOOL. The children of her most precious Steven, the orthodontist, will be probably attending public school.

Read Emily's post. She acts like she has no problem with it at all! Doesn't she know about the teachers possessed by the devil, the unGodly curriculum, the way they teach kids to hate God, and the smartphones full of porn? Emily acts like Grace will have a happy time learning to count and read!

Boy, that must piss Lori off.

Emily Alexander We have her enrolled in an awesome preschool in the fall. It’s two days a week, from 9 to 11:30.

The only thing is in our area all public schools are full day kindergarten, which I am not comfortable with when she has just turned 5. Maybe if we decide to hold her back. Private school is an option but they’re so far away from us, we would be driving over an hour a day.

There are a lot of Christians that believe that animals do have souls. Why would those living creatures not have souls but humans do? I’m not saying one life is more valued than another. It comes to the baby and the petri dish experiment. If you have an embryo in a Petri dish in one hand and a baby in the other and drop both which would you save?

I just shook my head at the comment about animals not having souls. My culture believes that animals do indeed have souls and for that reason we are to treat any animal we hunt and kill with great dignity.

Edited to add that our belief is that an animal we are hunting chooses to present itself to us.

And I think that people who believe that animals don't have souls have never sat in a vet's office and watched the "life" of a beloved pet slip away. And most have certainly never been on a hunt, or had to shoot livestock, and then had to be still for those seconds it takes the animal to die. There is a soul that flies away.

The preschool little Grace will be attending is a completely secular preschool! I found the brochure online and ran a search with the word "God" and nothing came up! I don't know what they are thinking.

They are really not doing things the Lori way. Steven recently hired a female orthodontist. She is a young woman who was recently married and could conceivably become a mother at any time! Interestingly, her new husband is Iranian who grew up in Sweden.

Her idiocy continues today.  Doctors (using her 88-year-old father as an example, who was a pathologist by the way and did not practice direct patient care) don't promote breastfeeding.  Wrong!  There's a mandate from CMS and Joint Commission that hospitals have a program in place to promote exclusive breastfeeding.  The Healthy People 2020 goal is 81.9% for attempted breastfeeding.  Here's the link to the goals http://www.usbreastfeeding.org/p/cm/ld/fid=221.  She cites a part of ONE article in a journal.  Now we know why she hated college.  She refused to do research and support her thesis with facts.  Once again, we can cite her failure to do research as it does not fit with her agenda and attempts to go viral.  Epic Fail #1,273.

I noticed that the hiring of the female orthodontist sometime back and I immediately wondered if Lori blew a gasket when she heard about that.

Lori's son and daughter-in-law are probably relieved that they are far away from Lori.  In the past I've seen Lori's fangirls post about how they know SAHMs who don't homeschool their kids and I recall Lori replying with something like "They should be homeschooling if they are staying at home."

In the past I've seen a couple of people post on Lori's FB that they would be sending their kids to private Christian schools and Lori liked one of those posts. I could see a homeschooling fangirl being against someone even sending their kids to a Christian school. Years ago, I remember reading a fundie blog in which the blogger stated that she was against private Christian schools because the one near her weren't conservative enough.  That blog was taken down. From what I remember it was a woman in Mississippi with seven kids they were doing ATI/IBLP programs and the women and girls in the family wore skirts.

Lori's dad is ill. He broke an ankle and seems to have other, more serious, issues. He's been in and out of care facilities. His doctor prescribed 4 bottles of Ensure per day, presumably so he'd have adequate nutrition. Lori read the label of the Ensure bottle and decided she knows more than the doctor, that this is not good for her dad because it contains sugar. Is she worried that he'll get fat or is sugar just the big boogyman?

I hope she is not keeping the Ensure from him and trying to feed him a slimy salad instead.

100%   and that sister is also currently going to school for advanced degree as a midwife (she's currently an RN).  What I find ironic about the whole thing, is that Lori is all "it is bad for women to go to college/get a degree/work, etc"  except when it's convenient to pull an "expert" out of her back pocket.

Also regarding Emily --- doing way too much pondering and speculating due to two-hour snow delay today -- I'm speculating if Emily posted the whole thing about when to start kindergarten/enrolling her daughter in Pre-K program in the fall as a passive way to send a message that she doesn't ascribe to her MIL belief's on mandatory homeschooling.   If it's a way to say to her friends and others that she is not in lockstep with her MIL.

I also thought it was funny...it appears that Emily's  mother posted on that same thread that (paraphrasing) "Send them to Texas I have a pool and a trampoline and plenty of candy and ice cream."   I thought that was cute and something a grandmother would say, ply them with sugar.  Lori would have a bird --  What a contrast: no sweets for them and stories about snakes biting them for misbehaving is all Lori would offer.  LOL

Just a catching up after a busy weekend.....but I noticed Lori has and ironically named new video up titled "How I please my husband on a daily basis" and it's filmed while she's sitting on a bed.  :pb_lol:

Lori reminds me of Zsu Anderson. Before Zsu had that complicated twin pregnancy she was totally against going to male OB/GYNs. But, yet it was perfectly fine for her to seek out working midwives to do her prenatal care and deliver her babies. She was ranting against working women and young women going to college right around the time she gave birth to Stephen. In her post-birth blog post, she was praising the midwife and doula for their work. Then sometime after that she went back to bashing working women.

Ok...I watched the above mentioned video "How I please my husband in a day." This is what I gleaned:

1.  Her and Ken go to bed at different times...she goes to bed early/gets up early....he stays up late and presumably sleeps late.

2. In the morning she "cuddles" with him :tmi:

3. He stays upstairs in his office/she stays downstairs on the internet until around 1 when she makes him a big salad and takes him lemonade (presumably with a NOT PINK or PURPLE straw)

4. She skirts the issue about making dinner...sounds like he is still making his own because according to Lori "he likes to stay up late, and thus likes to eat later"  Doesn't sound like they eat together.

5. Still doing their daily forced walks but now she doesn't fight with him... or much (she kinda had some nervous laughter there which made me believe old habits die hard).

I was so underwhelmed by "everything" she does to please him.  Maybe just staying out of his hair is all he cares about....

There she goes again.  She really, really likes to talk about boobies.

Again I can't help wondering if Lori is actually attracted to women. That's fine as far as I'm concerned, but if it is true she would be far better off acknowledging that attraction, and moving on.

Wow, so... Not at all what she's telling other women to do?

Lori gets to do what she wants while Ken does what he wants. (Which sounds fine to me but Lori is supposedly 100% against this.) Where is all the obedience, the praising, the serving? Where is, by the way, the housework that is soooooooo necessary and time-consuming that a woman couldn't possibly hold a job? Hmmm?

I bet if she heard a young wife say that her husband preferred a later schedule while she preferred to go to bed earlier (which, again, seems fine to me if they're both happy), that Lori would say the young wife should change herself to adapt for him (and to COOK for him, LORI).

They seem to be pretty...separate. It's sad. Certainly not aspirational.

From her transactional point of view, she got a really great deal. During the course of the day, here's what she does for Ken:

1. devotions and cuddles (yuck)

2. did she mention lunch? I don't remember it. Probably offers him some of her stuff.

3. brings him a lemonade at 1

4. makes him a big slimy salad when she is making one for herself. For some strange reason, he doesn't want to eat the rest of her "woo" food, so he chooses to eat alone later in the evening. Why doesn't she stay up and cook for him at 9?

5. takes a walk with him! That's the hard part of her day.

In exchange for that "work", she gets a million dollar house, long vacations, and disposable income. Nice job, Lori. Problem is, I thought we were meant to "work and work hard." ?

Boobies...and let's not forget butts.  She went on a rampage before about women in thong bikinis and paddling behinds.  It made me wonder if Ken had a wandering eye for the boobies and butts.

Their marriage sounds lousy and very unhappy.  From the video, it sounds like they're more roommates, at most friends with benefits.

I hope that Lori's father is alright and not in a lot of pain.

I really enjoyed Lori's blog today. It screams, I'm a bitter old woman who's mad about everything. It starts off about breastfeeding and careens wildly around to vaccines, doctor's incompetence, gmo foods, and ensure. It's a whole batch of crazy rolled into one post.

I don't wish her ill but I do enjoy watching her make a horse's ass of herself. Someone needs to unplug her computer.

What a pathetic relationship! My husband is pretty much my favorite person to hang out with. Conversation for us is organic, one of us will think of and say something and it just starts from there. There are times we don't talk, we just enjoy being together watching TV. There's nothing "transactional" about our relationship, well, maybe "if you do the dishes, I'll cook dinner".

Not a marriage I'd ever care to emulate.

Her post today was indeed a big ball of crazy. So if I'm following her logic, women SHOULD breastfeed because it's natural. But she's upset because using the word "natural" can lead to a person eschewing vaccinations, which in her eyes is good?

Way to shit on doctors, Lori. I'm 99% certain that with your CyberKnife treatments, you were given drugs and radiation. That's not natural! Why didn't you try Einkhorn bread and slimy salad?

Her dad is probably given Ensure because he needs the calories. At 88 years old, often times eating is no longer pleasurable to a person. Ensure is a calorie-dense drink for these situations.

But at least she gave us something to laugh at:
