I wouldn’t have too much hope. I really don’t see any of the Duggar offspring changing their core believes no matter what. In my opinion Jana is just lucky how the show portraits her. She is probably a real sweetheart to the people she likes while turning around and voting for people like Pence to save the world from abortions, gays and so on. Thousands of people are like that without living in circles like the Duggars. So I don’t see how leaving this world would change anything. The second we see her courtship standards, vows and what she does with her life being a wife and mother we will be as disappointed as we are with Jinger. Non of them showed any inclination to be different (apart from Ben and therefore Jessa).

Before this instagram profile the only thing that I ever read from Jana personally was some blog about JTTH (I think) which was full with Jesus speak. Now her Instagram seems to dwell over him as well, way more than her siblings. I am not sure if that is because she has no husband to dwell over or if she really is more religious than the others.

This has been an interesting insight into Jana. I agree that she’s really heavy on the Jesus talk, moreso than her siblings. When you look through Jessa or Jill’s Instagram, while you know they are conservative Christian, it feels more secular. It’s kid photos, recipes, etc. Their posts look kinda like the posts of some people I know. I’m not religious and don’t have much real life exposure with super religious people... So Jana’s posts so far don’t look at all like what I’m used to. 

 

I agree that not having a courtship or husband to obsess about like the other girls, and being forced to sit around at the TTH as all her siblings close in age moved out, may have left her with few options besides really poring over the Bible. 

 

I think it’ll be kind of a surprise to people around here if Jana is the most fundamentalist of them all.

Jana's thank you birthday message to her mom. Its her way sweet but to me it sounds more like it was Michelle's birthday and not Jana's. And for a second i thought Michelle is wearing pants. ?

Anyway, Jana looks really beautiful. ?

And also, i've noticed, Jana posted message for John, but John not posting for her. Only Abbie posted happy b-day message for John.

This very statement induced a vision in my brain of one, any, of the Duggar kids voting for Hilary, standing there and admiring his/her own ballot with a loud but internal "FU" to JB then depositing said ballot in the machine. I'm an optimist.

I’m late to the party here..... I totally think something is up w Jana getting on IG. Jessa’s joke to me says “I’m trying to deflect so no one suspects.....” 

I fully expect to hear an announcement in the next four weeks lol IF anyone else is pregnant, they will announce in the next couple weeks so Jana’s announcement is the last one before the new season. (My prediction!)

I think there will be a Jana announcement, but I’m leaning towards a spin-off show on the new Gaines network. It fits thier brand and her talents, plus it’s within the Discovery family, so conflict of interest. I can see her doing a straightforward interior design show - decor on a budget, or a general lifestyle show, like the fundie version of Martha Stewart. I can already see the plot line - Jana hosts adult siblings for a shabby chic picnic in her garden, organizes a tea party for her young nieces, or plans a backyard camping feast for her nephews.

I expect she will eventually get married and raise kids in some manner or another. I can actually see her delaying marriage to limit the number of pregnancies she has while adopting older kids.

Haha I didn't notice that but you are right! Fundies (at least the ones I grew up with) love to make a denim skirt out of jeans. They use all kinds of different patterns for the extra cloth. Never seemed strange to me because I've seen that my whole life but it does look weird!!! Really weird!

It’s so funny how people are bowing down to her on her IG because of her sweet posts and oh so precious personality. She’s probably not some evil witch but there’s no doubt that she upholds the same exact beliefs as her parents. We just don’t want to admit it because it’s Jana. We won’t be able to see a better picture until she courts and marries. 

A lot of people have mentioned the connection of the Gaines and Jana/the Duggars. For people who know more about them than I do, could there be some truth to this or is it merely wishful thinking?

As far as the post that will get Jana cancelled, I’m going to vote based on what has happpend already to rule out what will be next. They have already gone to Honduras so I am eliminating racially insensitive caption on photo of trip to Scary Brown People Land. Next on least likely to be next I would say is deciding not to wear pants after marriage (can Pre-marital Pants become a phrase?) because she needs to court exactly whom you'd expect first. Coming in for a tie would be posting  photo/meme that confirms that she has the political alignment you would expect her to have because the government shutdown and no matter what the president is the man who God has put in change to save all the unborn babies because America is a Christian nation. Isn’t the March for life during the spring? So can she court whom we would expect which would confirm/empower her to voice her anti-choice political alignment? 

 

Off shoot I have the theory that if Jana is not already in a courtship she is on instagram to be pimped out into one. It’s not because her parents trust her. It could perhaps be the equivalent of reaching a certain age and getting a dating profile in the secular world.

Jana actually broke my heart in her birthday IG.  Talking about wanting to be like her mother one day.  Jim-Bob set up Joy with Austin. Is there no one he can do the same for Jana with? He shouldn't need her to raise any more of his kids.  They're old enough now.  I'm not suggesting people have to get married, btw, but if she is posting like that she clearly wants to.

Funny but that line made me think that she is either in a courtship or about to be. I mean if you are meant to be grateful for your lot in life then wouldn't publicly wishing for things to go a different way be frowned upon? Not leaving things to God as it were. But if you are already on the path to marriage then you aren't really pre-empting anything.

This is also based on my personal belief that Jana is an uber Fundie and thus more likely to think in the above manner.

I don't recall her ever hawking it, but wasn't there something about Jana being really into essential oils a couple years back? Young Living, or doTERRA, or the like? So she could be gearing up to start promoting something like that even if she's neither courting or about to actually do something with the former tattoo parlor. It would be disappointing, but not unsurprising.

I seriously doubt she’ll wear pants. I’ve long been of the opinion that she’s more religious than her sisters and I expect she’ll continue to be skirts only. I also doubt that’ll get her cancelled though. For FJ to really turn on her it needs to be something more than that. So I’ll go all in on, “Posts something showing a kid in a stupid dangerous situation.”

And I know I was in the Mike Pence pool, but I can’t remember my bet now. ?
