RIGHT!  If they wanted to create drama they shouldnt have included the TH about how she knew exactly what she wanted and what she didnt want. The way it played out made the shop look like they just DGAF.

I'm gonna give him/her a pass on this one. When I refer to myself and my cousins, I still say "we kids" or "us kids" depending on subject/object. The youngest cousin is 41, and the oldest is 55.

Aren't JD/Jana kind of old for party games like that? Maybe not, I don't know. I don't know many people in their late 20's who have birthday parties, and when they do, they might involve fun things like wine or karaoke. 

This might be the wrong place to ask, but I've been out of the Duggar loop for a couple of years. Do any of the adult kids have actual jobs? Is everyone still living on TLC money? I understand what Jill and Derrick are doing (or not doing) but I wasn't sure about everyone else. My husband asked me if any of them actually worked and I told him I had no idea. What does Josh do now? Other than cheat on and/or breed with his wife.

I wish they'd give us more talking heads with Jana and John- they're kind of adorable together. Sadly, now that John is about to get married, I think he'll only be featured with Abbie from now on (which is probably cute too... In a different way).

That birth center is really nice. I had my last at a birth center and it was much more basic. Ugh Jeremy is such a ham. Always wants the attention on him.  Funny how the Bates still wear skirts to ski but their courting rules are more lax. So many fundies, so many variations! Surprised they didn't go to Mizzzz Renee for the dress.

Jinger has turned out to be the most conservative and dull of all the older girls. She never belly laughs, teases Jeremy, or does anything relaxed. We never see her mess up, or poke fun at herself. I was mentally WILLING her to sit on the damn birth stool but knew she would never ever do such a thing on TV.

Yes, they're too old for crap like that and its also super weird to be hanging out with friends/siblings doing stuff thats aimed at a fan base.  Do we really think that Jana wants to be identified as the woman who raised chickens only to have them eaten by animals?  To me, that would have been a horribly upsetting experience that I wouldnt want brought up at a party.  To TLC, its just a "selling point" on why Jana is super resourceful, loving, and a good catch (so they can film her wedding).  

I'm betting that DerJIll and Joshly were present for this "party" as well, they were just at one of the other cabins they briefly referenced.  Someone had to watch all those littles while they filmed that scene and we know darn well it wasnt Michelle.

I think its kind of sad that a group of young adults couldnt go to the ski lodge, hang out at the bar, sing karaoke, or just drink hot chocolate around a fire pit with people their age.  Nope - they're in a cabin playing fake pictionary with a camera crew pretending to have fun.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Yeah that’s because that way it’s not detected as quickly as normal voices.

You asked about the other dresses, have MANY MANY pictures.

They had her try on 5 dresses and she tried on the one she ended up getting twice, with two different veils. In the TH she said she wanted crepe material, a fitted silhouette (essentially mermaid), no lace, lots of beads, modest, and short sleeved due to expected heat. So yeah, they mostly put her in puffy dresses and/or lace, and long sleeves.

She chose Dress 4 with the cathedral veil, plus asked to have the sleeves modified to short/cap since it was for a summer wedding and she was worried about the heat, and have the back lined for modesty. (Note: She was wearing a white tank top under all of these dresses.)

That's exactly what I was thinking. There are so many fun things to do, even without alcohol involved, for people their age!

Jana/JD's birthday is in January

Gideon was born in May

The Dillards were on a "mission trip" to Colorado Springs (about 2 hours away) in March/April

It was warm enough to ski without a jacket or gloves, but there is definitely a shot during pictionary when it was snowing.

 

Heres the thing, I cant find anywhere in Granby, Colorado that would still have skiing in then.  The largest places seem to be Granby Ranch and Winter Park and they would have been closed then.

The only option appears to be the Arapahoe Ski Basin, which closed REALLY early june.

So, either Gideon was less than 2 weeks old when they drove him to Colorado, or there is some serious time shifting going on.  Regardless, the idea that this was a "birthday trip" is ridiculous.  What were they really up to in early June?

Correct, I was going to say I remember Jessa releasing Instagram videos of them at the lodge in Colorado back in mid-March. There were also sightings of the Duggars and the camera crew at the time. 

People have asked why so late in celebrating but they did that because the family was in Aus/NZ for nearly all of January. Playing the timeline game is so annoying freaking TLC. I don’t remember sightings in KY for Lauren’s dress shopping. When did they do that? April?
