Looks like they went to The Cove resort in Atlantis in the Bahamas (as well as Eleuthera)  I bet UPTV is not filming that!  Naked bodies everywhere.  Something tells me that this is not a Kelly-approved honeymoon.  Good for you Josie & Kelton!!

I could tell more on my phone on the Instagram picture itself than on this website on my laptop, but I think the yellow wristband Kelton is wearing has the UP logo on it. So yes, I'm sure it is being filmed. 

Wonder if they will cover Josie's entire bottom half for the whole episode if she did in fact ditch the skirts.

Wonder if UP pays for all or part of these honeymoon and engagement trips? I don’t think UP has that much money to be paying the family much directly, I think their budget goes primarily to production, which is the trips and fun activities they do.

I don't see Carlin immediately changing her wardrobe. She seems closest to Erin and Tori and they haven't have they? Josie could have picked up some cute stuff in Asheville. There is great shopping there!

Tori is a bit of an unknown right now in my opinion. She's been pregnant most of her married life, and has little presence on social media so the only times we see her seem to be occasions with her family (and probably cameras present). I'm not sure if we saw a photo of Alyssa in pants before Allie was born, but she had a similar marriage to first child timeline as Tori will.

Evan's family (Sisters, mother and nieces) are not skirts only. There are numerous photos of them in pants and even shorts. That along with her and Josie pushing the family modesty standards the past few years, suggests to me she will wear pants (and tops like Josie and Alyssa) after she's married if she really wants to.

I still don’t think UP filmed this honeymoon.  I don’t think Josie would want to walk around in a skirt in the heat of the Bahamas feeling hot & looking silly while a bunch of other women pranced around in bikinis in front of her man while she kept it covered up.

 Why would they have chosen a beach destination unless she was dying to be free of their ridiculous “modest beachwear” &  show it off a bit.  I bet she has a great figure. 

She will probably be in skinny jeans on her instagram before thanksgiving.

I am also open to the idea of Carlin sticking with skirts (but sometimes above the knee, &  with shoulders bared) because she likes all the "ohhhh I love your modest dress where did you get it??" attention she gets from Christian leghumpers. I think she lies being a modern modest pinup queen.

I think of all the Bates girls Carlin has pushed the modesty boundaries the most.  Erin and Tori dress very differently from her, and neither of them seem to be marketing themselves as super fashionable in the way Carlin does with her instagram. 

I've been surprised the Carlin got away with a lot of her outfits lately--the v-neck engagement dress, the low back bridesmaid's dress, and the cut-out back dress she wore at Disney all come to mind. 

Carlin doesn't strike me as a naturally modest person. She likes attention (nothing wrong with that, by the way), and so does Evan--in that way I think they're well suited for each other.  She may keep being skirts only--I think she probably likes dresses, and her style is very feminine, although I expect they will get a little shorter sometimes. But given that two of these pics were posted by her parents, it seems like they don't have a problem with her dressing in a way that goes against their older (and official IBLP) ideas about modesty.

agree with the posted above. Carlin has already pushed lots of boundaries, before she even got engaged. And nothing will be stopping her once she gets married.

shes already worn completely sleeveless dresses (one back in April and one a few days ago) under sweaters. You can tell because a small bit of skin close to er shoulders is uncovered in both pics. She’s also worn a bikini/swimsuit under a coverup. I suspect those sweaters and coverups will come off as soon as she gets married

Josie and Carlin will probably adopt a more mainstream clothing look but I don't see any real changes coming to their beliefs. At least not any time soon and as long as they are in their little bubble of evangelical white privilege.

I think so too but I am a little excited to see how far they will push it. I can see them be the type to only change it is convenient to them so time will tell what will actually be convenient for them. I don't think any change will be driven by any in-depth thoughts at least.

It’s not a romper it’s an overall dress, and yes it’s FAR above the knee. But she’s been wearing above the knee stuff for a long time now though so it’s not surprising

Although I know mainstream-looking fundies use to drink alcohol (like most mainstream people do), I think they should avoid it. No offense, but being raised in extreme scheduling, emotionally neglected and in an agressive athmosphere is not the best basis to start drinking alcohol.

Atlantis is the Disney of the Bahamas. It's always pricey imo.

Atlantis pricing is typical of many beachside resorts in the US as well, depending where you go, what type of room and when. 

We go to a small place in Treasure Island, right on the beach, efficiency with kitchen, mom and pop hotel that has everything you need and can get a unit for USD$100 or thereabouts, per night, any time of year. 

Daytona, a major chain with small bar/restaurant, but again an efficiency with kitchen, for USD$125+ a night, yet Pensacola Beach, a room with only a bed or two, chair, microwave and small fridge will run you USD$200++ a night.  

If we do Pensacola, we do fewer nights and combine with Biloxi at the casino where we get 3 nights free and others at a reduced price or jump over to Panama City to another (slightly larger) mom and pop on the beach more in line with Daytona pricing. Typically, we travel in May and September as those months are still hot, but, considered off season as kids are back in school, so cheaper.  Summer, March and Easter, $$$ more!

Guess it just depends what their budget is from UP and go for as many days as they can!
