You are right. I'm betting this child has a heterotaxy syndrome ( internal organs are abnormally arranged and there are multiple associated anomalies - heart disease being a major one). While the exact details of the heart disorder would almost certainly need a fetal echocardiogram + specialist evaluation - the routine anatomy scan can detect enough abnormality to trigger a specialist referral.

Also: being immunocompromised is an INDICATION not a contraindication for vaccination. These children mount a poor immune response at the best of times and need every bit of help they can get. My sister has many post transplant patients in her complex care pediatric practice and she insists on a 100% vaccination rate because any illness would not only endanger the child - but also everyone else in her practice.

I blocked the instagram account they made about this child. I am sorry for the baby but vaccination requirements for transplantation need to strictly adhered to.

I’m pretty sure it’s Paul’s mom.  There is a birthday post on June 23,2021 with her celebrating her 70th birthday.  Peggy is her name.  It’s the same lady and lines up with her birthday.

There is a lot of false information about this case (from the family).

Inmuno-depressed babies are usually NOT vaccinated, that's why is it vital they live around vaccinated people and get herd inmunity. But they are not vaccinated thselves.

Trasplanted people cannot be vaccinated for a while, because the inmuno-depressing drugs they take. I have a relative who had to wait for 6 months after trasplant before being allowed to take the covid shot. A very weak baby would have to wait more, probably.

So while it is normal that August is not vaccinated, the problem may be that his family isn't, so he is in risk because he hasn't inmunity herd. But of course saying "I'm not going to vaccinate myself even if it protects my baby" doesn't sound good.

Also parents would probably have to agree to vaccinate the baby in the future (when the baby is healthy enough), which they probably denied.

It must differ from case to case.  The immunocompromised kids I know were vaccinated as babies and it was stressed that they be given on schedule.  I’m sure not all are, but IME they are vaccinated.  I didn’t find anything online that suggested they aren’t, but with immunocompromised falling under many different variations it’s probably more what causes the immunocompromise than age.

Yes, it may differ depending on each child. I know oncologic children patients that couldn't got their shots, and even children with mildy illness that have been told to delay theirs. All of this, in a pro-vaccination environtment.

 Anyway, August is very little and has been very sick. Even if the parents were pro-vaccination, he wouldn't have many of the shots. That's why I think the family hides infomation.

Maybe doctors asked specifically for the tetanus shot, but the family is too zpeshiul even for that. But I think it must be related to their negative of following doctor advice post-surgery (including vaccination). Or maybe the baby is in a good-enough situation to  handle vaccination while he waits for a transplant.

August was vaccinated and he is actually doing much better. Shocking right? These people were convinced the vaccines would kill august. Amazing that the doctors actually know what they are doing 🙄

Since this is the thread that mentioned baby August Stoll, I’ll update here. He was doing very well after he got his vaccines and a heart became available. He had a heart transplant that went well and his body seems to be accepting the heart. His family and friends seem to be very happy and no one is mentioning a single thing about the vaccines. It’s frustrating that these people can be so against vaccines but so for an entire heart transplant. It makes no sense. I’m so glad doctors are the ones making these types of decisions and not anti-Vaxxers who think they know more than everyone. I’m glad august is doing much better.

When they first posted about not being put on the waitlist for refusing vaccines, the story was all over Facebook. It was picked up by conservative and anti-vax sites along with a ton of anti-vaxers. Now that he was vaccinated, doing fine with them, and then getting a successful heart transplant, no one is reporting on this. It’s all totally quiet now. The anti-vaxers and conservative sites aren’t reporting that this child is doing very well. Shouldn’t that be news? Shouldn’t that be reported? It doesn’t fit their naritive so they are all quiet and have dropped the story. I truly hope these parents see how they’ve been completely dropped by all the anti-vaxers. They never cared about August’s well being. They cared about the anti-vax headlines with the proof doctors are bad guys and vaccines are harmful.

This story of how horribly the parents were treated and Baby Denied Heart! was on every fundamentalist alt med/faux child medical abuse web site.  No corrections noting the baby received routine vaccinations (except Covid), was put on the transplant list and got a heart. 

The father works for No Greater Joy Ministries, Michael Pearl's outfit and mother is a previous employee.  This is why Shoshanna is all over this story.

I noticed there were tons of people reporting the baby had to get the Covid vax. Which was completely wrong. He was never required to get that one. Just the routine ones babies always get. I hate how so many people want to make stuff like this political. Medical care should not be political! Including abortion.

I understand HIPAA and the importance, but stories like this is when I wish hospital and doctors could defend themselves and clarify what happened.  It’s so exhausting reading stories like this and knowing the truth may never be told because it doesn’t match the agenda.

Shoshanna is back! And this entire post is her saying “I’m not going to talk about my divorce so don’t ask me” without actually coming out and saying it.
