I wish the Lord would lay it on the hearts of the Maxwells to tell us more about the raccoon trapping. That is worth 50 how-to-shop-at-Aldi posts.

In addition to the raccoon trapping, I'd love to hear more about the spiritual warfare Anna and Mary are experiencing.

Of course the Maxwells believed every time Uriah had a mechanical problem while they were doing their road trips it was Satan's doing, so it might be something as benign as the zipper on their luggage was stuck or something.

Anna and Mary probably heard a mild swear word at the airport or on the plane -something like Oh darn! or Shoot!  Even my old neighbors favorite utterance "Land o" Goshen!" would be too much for the girls.

I am completely shook that some Maxwells were actually at Pike Place. Yes it’s a touristy spot that can be fun for anyone, but all things wordly are heavily on display. I love that they went and enjoyed themselves and showed their kids such a diverse place.

Just when you think you've heard everything...you didn't.  Regarding college... Why would someone return to a place that they don't want their children to go to, and that they also consider ungodly?  And reminisce about it with fond memories and big smiles on their faces???  Teri called the trip down memory lane a sweet, wonderful, and delightful time.  I don't know about anyone else, but if I did something in my past that I considered ungodly, and that I didn't even want my children to do, the last thing I would do is go back and then tell my children that I had a sweet, wonderful, and delightful time.  The whole thing makes absolutely no sense.

My last kid just graduated college a month ago.  I'm just the lowly ignorant Catholic, so what do I know.  I told my kids to do what they felt God wanted them to do with their lives.  Imagine that.   The bad Christian who wears bikini's, goes to the casino, and worships statues, tells her kids to choose an occupation that God is leading them to.  And the good Christian who wears prairie dresses and has bible time every night tells her kids that many occupations are off limits because they can't go to college.  How does Teri know that God didn't want her child to be a paramedic or a nurse?  And no one in that family questioned this?  Are they all stupid?

Today's blog post depressed the heck out of me.  Abby is stuck getting baby books read to her with the younger cousins.  Calia is washing the dishes because it's the closest she is going to get to water play in the summer.  The mothers pawn their kids off on the grandparents in the sweltering heat and the girls are wearing heat stroke induced dresses and are stuck in the house playing card games with babies.  The rest of the country is doing cannon balls and playing Marco Polo in the pool, running under sprinklers, and catching waves at the beach.  Hopefully it rains so those poor children can stomp in dirty puddles.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I've got good money on Jesse being married by the end of this year. I bet Steve has someone in his sights for Jesse.

I think that woman who wrote to Dear Prudence should run like hell.

I'd like to know about the various "friends" who have been visiting John and Chelsy.  I wonder if any are of interest to Jesse.

I still say Lydia Waller would be a match that Steve approves of.

I wrote just this sort of thing in a comment on their blog. I wrote it politely but, of course, it wasn't allowed. I hope it made them think, but I doubt it.

As for the little kids--remember, we don't see what they get to do alone with their own parents. Let's be hopeful! And they're not the only kids in the world who live in dresses so that doesn't worry me much. But, you must realize by now that everything pretty much must be able to be "enjoyed' by even the youngest in the family--hence everyone stays that age to a certain extent.

Well, Sarah denied Jesse was in a relationship when they posted on his new house--then again, one never knows how the Maxwell's define "relationship".  He certainly could be getting to know a special someone. Otherwise, why buy a house when you can live home rent free?  Maxwell ain't foolin' nobody here.  I just hope Jesse has enough backbone to find his own woman without any "help" from Steve.  My money is on a winter marriage proposal with a wedding in late spring/ summer 2019.

I suspect it won't be long before *something* is in the works.  Now that he has the house, he has the green light to court.

They said in the post that he would rent out the house in the meantime.  Wonder who he'll rent to?  I can't imagine he'd rent to just anyone.

Didn't Sarah go on a sweet fellowshipping canoe ride with Jesse and say that she had to cherish these moment as time goes by so quickly.  Last year?

Also why is he doing all this work on the house, I thought it was currently being rented?  Gardening and such?  Seems like something you would only do if the house was empty and you had intentions of moving into it soon?

@jiggleromp (I love your username!), I just reread the post, and it turns out Sarah said “it was a rental house.”  I had assumed there were tenants, but she didn’t specify whether it was occupied.  So I was a little confused by the pics in the random life post where it appears to be vacant.  Sarah also said that “he plans to use [it] as a rental until he needs it.”  But I will be genuinely surprised if he moves a tenant in.  I’m still of a mind that those “plans” will change because he has his eye on a nice lady, they’re talking, and she’s interested.  And like average, ordinary adults everywhere, they’d like to hold hands, kiss, and front-hug; so their goal is courtship, engagement, and marriage.  I don’t have a hat, but i’ll eat one if he’s not married by the end of next year.

Tomorrow is Independence Day.  Will there be an abortion post?  Happy Independence Day!  Let us remember the millions of babies who will never get to experience freedom because they were aborted.

You know on this one I am inclined to take Sarah at her word.  Jesse is not currently in a relationship.  I mean the guy has always been presented to us as having the initiative of the average sloth.

But now he has attained a debt free property, I think Steve may have actually given him permission to court!

I suspect Jesse is frantically browsing approved by Steve families for a helpmeet of desired godliness.  Heck he might even be browsing the internet (with Steve's permission and supervision) in search of a suitably submissive bride.

On one level I wish Jesse luck.  On another I wish all prospective brides will flee.

It will be interesting to see if his wedding is kept under wraps like Joseph's, or if they'll announce his, since John's was revealed ahead of time.

It makes total sense to me that he would buy a house without being in a relationship first because whenever he does meet that lucky lady, the fact he already owns a home will mean their courtship can proceed with no delays.

I’m also inclined to agree with @Palimpsest that he’s probably currently actively seeking a bride and it won’t be too long before he’s married. And I wonder if Steve realizes how weird it’s going to look when all of his sons are married and all of his daughters are still single.

Didn’t Joe rent his house to Steve and Terie to use as an office for a while?

John’s was only revealed ahead of time because Chelsy’s family let that cat of the bag. So I guess it will depend on if Dteve can strong-arm the potential bride’s family into keeping it quiet.

Ok, riddle me this y'all...

If you supposedly raised your kids "right", why the hell are you so fucking afraid of letting them out of your sight? Why should they need "accountability partners" when leaving the house? That smacks of not trusting that you did raise your kids with morals and values that'll keep, and not trusting your kids.

Shit...my kids are fucking heathens and did god knows what with god knows who and they're probably actually more moral than the fucking maxhell, bates and duggar kids. I know they're better educated and harder working.

Maybe he could use his l33t programming skillz to invent Fundie Tinder.

I just don't get why he doesn't see that the fact that all of his daughters are still unmarried is doing some real damage to his brand. Customers/Followers/Leghumpers might swallow one spinster daughter, but three is just too much. In their world they should be married and breeding.
