Helpful Tools

Hello everyone!

In my past weight loss journeys, I have found these tools to be very helpful.  I wanted to share them and also open a thread for people to share and discuss tools they enjoy!  As always, these are just tools to provide you with data that may help you navigate your journey.  No single number is the be all and end all of health, but numbers can help us set goals, identify potential problems, and give us more data upon which to make educated health choices :)

Calculators:

BMI Calculator (adjusted for height): https://people.maths.ox.ac.uk/trefethen/bmi_calc.html  (If you are tall or short, this calculator will probably give you a more accurate metric.  If you're around average height, you won't see much difference :) )

BMR Calculator: https://www.iifym.com/bmr-calculator/

Macro Calculator (works for several dietary options): https://www.iifym.com/iifym-calculator/

Apps:

MyFitnessPal (food logging app)

StrongLifts 5x5 (if you are looking for a lifting regimen)

PokemonGo (hatch those eggs!  we can be friends!)

WalkJogRun (a running route calculator and creator that allows you to make and calculate your own routes, see nearby routes other people run, log your running/walking via GPS, and provides often informative newsletters)

What tools or apps or websites do you find helpful?
