I made my own granola this morning, from this recipe https://www.chowhound.com/recipes/basic-granola-30062

The storebought ones all contain nuts (allergic) and/or too much sugar and preservatives, and they all taste like cardboard.  I subbed maple syrup for the honey, raw sugar for the brown, doubled the vanilla, used speculaas spice mix for the cinnamon, skipped any dried fruit and added pepitas during the last 10 minutes of cooking.  It's very good but still too sweet for me so next time I will leave out the sugar.

Made the way I made it it's 126 calories (11% protein, 33% fat, 56% carbs) per 30 grams which is the recommended serving size on most store brands.  If you are low carb it's no good but I like a spoonful or two for a mid afternoon snack if I am craving something more substantial than fruit.
