She looks great!

I lost all my pregnancy weight within a week with #1 and maybe 2.5 weeks with #2. I know it's very lucky and I didn't do anything special. I had a huge oversupply of milk which probably helped a lot and I didn't feel very hungry after my c-sections. My body didn't look like it did before, I had to work on that later but the weight was off.

I found my first and second babies I bounced back super quick - my first I had to get hubby to fish out some jeans that I hadnt worn since 2-3mths pregnant. My maternity jeans fell off me afterwards!

Baby 3 was another story altogether lol, shes 7 and im still working on it :annoyed:

Easy birth, weight falling off... youth and general fitness. This girl will have a ton of babies.

I dropped a good amount of the weight quickly, but that was because I was experiencing bad panic attacks at the time. I either couldn’t eat or couldn’t keep down what I was eating. I obviously do not recommend this as a way to lose baby weight. Lol!

The rest of it (about 10 pounds) fell off with time. I dropped five or so pounds after I stopped nursing her at 3 months and the rest was gone around 6 months later. I’m back to what I weighed before getting pregnant, but I do feel my body has changed in some ways. I don’t mind though because I have a healthy and happy family. :)

(And to any new moms or expectant moms out there who are worrying about this, that’s a pretty normal feeling to have. Juggling everything can be very tough at first, so try to focus more on keeping yourself healthy and functional at first - try to rest when you can, remember to eat, drink enough water, etc. You’ll figure out a new normal routine with time and it’ll get easier to stay healthy and happy from there. :) )

She  does look good but people say I did too. Let me tell you... a belly band, some good make up, and the right clothes hide A LOT. I had a hell of a delivery, post partum depression, a colicky baby, and hardly any support system out side of my husband who works 60 hours a week.... everyone told me how impressed they were that I looked great, my baby seemed so perfect, I just seemed so "together", etc. little did they know I clocked at least 6 hours a day crying and slept maybe 3 hours a night while my baby cried unless held upright while bouncing in a circle with the hair dryer and vacuum running. ( he's 10 months now and starting to get a little happier, he really is very sweet when not upset). My point being... PPD made me a perfectionist for some reason, it's a common manifestation. That made it seem like everything was wonderful and I was doing great. It's hard to tell how Kendra is *actually* doing even if you know her personally. I think it's too soon to judge.

I think she's in that baby honeymoon stage - where everyone is SO excited to meet the new baby, they drop off food, and they cuddle the baby and offer to watch the baby while you get some rest/take a shower/brush your hair/put on clean clothes.
And then suddenly the novelty of "new" wears off and you're exhausted and don't have the cast of thousands helping and you're exhausted.

(that said - I adopted my boy 5 years ago and STILL carry "baby" weight! :P)

I think part of the reason why Counting On girls don't receive backlash is because they cater to this ideal girl spectre; be nice, smile and don't spread your legs around (where as the stars of Teen Mom mostly have the ones we perceive as negative traits; all though I bet if none of them were mothers, most of that behaviour could be passed as typical teen life)

Yes their belief system is pretty damaging but let's face it people mostly look at their nice shell and the package, therefore they are perceived as better.

just my 2 cents

That's how the Mormons get you, too. They don't send out grimy-looking men who speak without eloquence. They send out the clean-shaven, suit-wearing boys with impeccable manners in order to rope you in.

ah I think the only two teen moms that are any good are Chelsea and Maci. the other ones are still hot messes most of them with multiple babies by multiple daddies.  and that's not counting the multiple men they've bounced in and out of their kids lives.

Seriously, can someone go and save Jenelle's kids?

Plus, a lot of babies at 0-14 days are like cats an sleep A LOT, so you can function for a bit, or heal. Then shit starts going down. (not all babies are like this, my daughter included, but my son, for sure)

I dropped my baby weight in 3 weeks, then stopped nursing and put on 10 lbs.  Need to get that off, but for some women nursing just pulls it off (for some it keeps it on).

Per Jessa's Instagram, JoKen have launched their family website.

Jessa's link isn't working (at least on my end). I wonder if Joe and Kendra will get on Instagram now. Kind of hard to share updates from the website otherwise, as I think most people expect to see those links on Instagram now (especially with the Duggars, they've kind of set that pattern). I hope they don't follow the Jill model of dumping like 15 videos and recipes all at the same time.

@singsingsing It's not working for me, either. Too much traffic, I guess.

The site just loaded for me, although it took a good 20 seconds to do so. Wow, that header is something else. On a sidenote, Garrett is a cutie and KenJoe look to be very much in love and happy. They're both baby adults, she's still a kid herself and I wish she wasn't a teen bride to begin with, but they seem to be a good couple and a good match.

Jessa has since removed the post from Instagram. I wonder if it’s due to the site having loading issues/babdwith problems?

The link's working for me now, and I'm reading their stories. Nothing very exciting. They both came to Jesus as little kids, but then doubted their salvation and, surprise suprise! recommitted to Christ as teenagers. [Insert preaching here] zZzZzZzZz....

The only slightly interesting tidbits I could glean:

-Joe met the Caldwells in 2012 when he visited Lighthouse Baptist Church where Austin was a member.

-The Duggars started attending Lighthouse Baptist in 2015 (hmmm, would that have been around the time of the Josh scandals?).

-Kendra and Joe started getting to know each other in 2016 and spent a lot of time talking for a few months.

-They started courting on March 7th, 2017.

Truly riveting stuff!

It’s starting to seem like the testimony stories are like those stories with blank words and it instructs you to add adjectives, verbs, etc. the story is the same but each person uses different descriptive words. ( good instead of great). It’s very boring and predictable.

Speaking of!

I have a weird question that I have wanted to ask for a year!  I live in a townhouse and in our building, the local LDS church owns a unit that houses the missionaries (seriously best neighbors EVER, the rest suck because college town...). They have a car that they drive occasionally, but anytime they are backing out of their space - even if there is not another car anywhere close to them - one guy stands behind and uses his hands to guide the other dude out. Like he's on an airport runway. It is literally EVERY single time. It is very odd. Is this a mormon missionary rule?

Ah Mason, of course! I completely forgot about him. I don't think I've seen many pics of him either actually.

I love baseball but I'm dreading the new season because the White Sox ownership is THE FUCKING WORST. I watched Dominican League Baseball (Lidom!) over the winter and fell in love with their joy, spirit, and exuberance. The broadcasts were in Spanish and my Spanish is pretty weak but I loved catching phrases and repeating them. Bombe! I'm sad about MLB and Commissioner Idiota's busywork rules. But I love baseball, always and forever.
I guess I don't have a point. Just bitching. Te amo mucho, Lidom!

      Happy International Women's Day!

Humanity may have some work to do, to improve gender equality, but I was glad to hear that France has taken an important step to protect healthcare for women (and people of other genders who can get pregnant).

Feeling ragey this morning. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon in the hope of getting help for an ongoing injury. I went to a (different!!) doctor late last year who completely blew me off. He wouldn't do diagnostic testin, he refused to send me to a specialist, and he just told me to "take it easy" and "take ibuprofen." I'm hopeful for today's appointment but I'm also feeling a SEVERE amount of rage at that doctor from last year!

Well, the rash is back with a vengeance. It never completely cleared up. I saw the derm yesterday and they did another swab and yup, raging infection again, still? It is definitely strep skin infection. I am getting so damn tired and run down from this. Who the f would immagine being hospitalized freaking TWICE for a rash?

My niece is going to be a seat filler at this year's Academy Awards.  Seat fillers are asked to wear tuxedos regardless of sex/gender.  If you see a pretty young woman with very curly hair, it could be my niece.

It’s not supposed to be mosquito season right now but I still appear to have been bitten twice on the side of my foot. Bastards. I know I shouldn’t scratch but it’s so tempting… 😑
