Lori Alexander 46: She Sure Is Highly Edumacated

@Koala my WTF reaction was for Lori's advice, not for you. WTF is wrong with her!?

Also I have to know why the skin is left on the avocados in that picture. I can't get past that.

"No, I'm not saying every teacher is demon possessed but you just don't know."

What.the.actual.fuck.

There's an old horror movie where a father goes on a killing spree taking his 2 young sons with him, telling them he has the divine gift of seeing demons hidden inside people.

This slightly reminds me of that.

I like this bit-

Grandparents and drinking/gambling/playing cards

Growing up, my father's side of the family was the one I was closest to (I never met my mother's parents, they were in Cuba). EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY, after everyone got out of church (my grandfather was Catholic, my grandmother was Episcopalian, he'd drop her off at her church then go to his) there would be Sunday dinner at their house. It usually involved a lot of good food, my grandmother, great aunt, cousin and mother would have their scotch on the rocks and the guys would drink beer. After dinner and before dessert, there'd be a pinochle game that would get rather rowdy. Figure people that already had a couple of drinks in them and a competitive streak a mile wide...I learned how to cuss in English and German at those games! After that, there would be coffee and dessert.

That all stopped after we moved away in 1973, but it's definitely something I'll NEVER EVER forget...it's a good memory, not a bad memory at all.

Lori has absolutely NO sense of history and she's a lying liar who lies.

I went home horrified and shared all of this with Ken, trembling and sobbing. Ken immediately got on the phone and called a professor from Westmont College...

This professor told him I was being demonically oppressed and to NEVER let me return to this class...

Ken called my professor at CSUN and explained the entire situation to him. We wanted to warn him about this teacher and the effect she was having on the students;

The professor said he'd find me another teacher and just said it was a "clash of personalities." He thought NOTHING of what we had told him, like I was making it up

I was about to comment on her Instagram, ripping her to shreds, but decided it was wasted effort. So, to satisfy my need to blast her, please allow me to state the obvious — she is a bitter, hateful, lazy, judgmental, vile, ignorant human being. I had hoped to be a SAHM myself once I had a baby but given that my husband’s employment history has been spotty at best, I had no choice but to go back to work immediately after my daughter was born.  My husband tries very hard but has terrible luck with jobs so, most of the time, it’s me paying all the bills, providing the health insurance, etc.  I thank God for the college education I received at a large, public, state university, and the opportunity He has given me to have a great job with excellent benefits.  I don’t work to have money for trips to the Tory Burch store and fancy vacations —- I work to put a roof over our heads, clothes on our backs, and food on our table. We are not wealthy people. My husband loves the Lord —- if it were so anti-God for women to work, then why is it He has blessed me with great opportunities my whole career, yet my husband has not had the same opportunities despite busting his butt trying to take care of us? He’s the one with the penis, after all, so shouldn’t he be getting the career opportunities???

Incidentally, through my 4 1/2 years at said state university, I developed and cemented my Christian faith rather than pulling away from it as Lori insists always happens when you attend secular schools, and I learned to respect others’ beliefs, even if they are different than my own.  If I were not already a Christian and happened to come across her blog, I would run as far away from church as possible.  There is no way that woman is winning any souls for Christ.

Thanks for indulging me, as I know I am totally preaching to the choir. I just needed to vent.

Oh, and Ken totally has a 1970s pornstache.

I'm surprised her boss reacted this way and just transferred her from 4th grade to kindergarten.

If someone told me their colleague was possessed by a demon and we needed to save the children... I know what i would do :pb_eek::crazy::562479906e9ac_ohnoes::auto-ambulance:

Bless her, she can't even drink a bottle of water without bragging that it's superior.  Looks like a hospital waiting room in the background.  I wonder if her sisters are irritated by her refusal  to step away from social media...

In any case, if Lori's readers follow her advice, that fancy shmancy bottle of water is likely out of their price range (especially if they have a gaggle of children).  No, if you follow Lori, it's "water fountain for the win"!  Then you get the privilege of having her look down her nose at you.  Fun times.

Sorry reader, but that's not Lori's problem.  God doesn't want her to worry her silly little woman brain.

I can't get Lori's Transformed Housewife facebook page to load. I don't know why or when I would have been banned. Weird.

This: http://lorialexander.blogspot.com/2014/12/the-demon-possessed-teacher.html is insane. I actually laughed out loud, it's so ridiculous. It sounds more like a fever dream of Lori's that she just decided was real. Was the demon-possessed teacher the kid from The Ring?

In regards to card games - my grandparents play cards constantly. Not anything new, Lori.

Warm thoughts to all of you who have lost parents and/or inlaws, I´m so sorry for your loss :group-hug:

I wonder how Lori is going to react once her mother dies. Lori is in her sixties and that will be her first big loss. This thing about to loose your parent can be a hard thing.

I never was close to my mother and I worried that I would feel bad when she died, because her dying would be kind of a relief. Turns out that I don´t feel bad, some days I feel grief that I couldn´t love her moore but I don´t feel any guilt.

I don´t know how things are between Lori and her mother but according to Lori her mother is ready to go to heven, but there´s still no telling how Lori will react when her mother´s death is a fact.

But I´m kind of certain that Lori will do a Instagram post about the old Bible her mother left her.

While I do love the taste of this water I don’t drink it often. When I do drink bottle water, on rare occasions, I don’t think this one because of the price.

Tap water here is pretty much undrinkable. So, we do the bottled water thing...but, we buy whatever's on sale at Smith's. We can get a 36 pack of bottles for like 3 bucks...that other stuff is mucho expensive and really (to me) tastes like shit.

I lost a parent back in 2016 (2 days before Lori announced that her mother was sick).  I'll be really transparent here, and say that I had a really hard time.  I would go out and sit in my back yard and sob.  It was awful.  There are still times it absolutely takes my breath away.  Not being able to pick up the phone is so hard.

That said, I was very troubled by Lori's response.  In her post telling readers that her mom was sick, she wrote:

Quote

If there weren't all these drugs, few people would live past eighty and even with all the great medical care we have, the average age of death is still seventy eight years old! Therefore, medicine hasn't helped a ton since we still aren't living much past what the Bible states. Man will never be able to outsmart the Lord.

She continued:

Quote

It's amusing to see what people do to try and extend their lives

Not long after, she started referring to her as her "old, sick mom".  The whole time she has just seemed so flippant and callous.  Honestly, based on everything we know about Lori, I don't think this is going to be a big deal for her.  I don't really believe she has the capacity to love another human being.

Yep.  We buy Sam's Choice, and it's 28 bottles for 3.98 (approx. 14 cents a bottle).  That stuff Lori is drinking is approx 95 cents a bottle.  Lord knows what she paid if she got it from a vending machine.

Again, it's completely unattainable if you live the lifestyle Lori "prescribes".

Speaking of water, we went to a concert this weekend, and naturally, they wouldn't allow you to bring your own water.  My husband paid the following:

2 Dasani waters (they only offered the 33.8 oz. sizes) = 7.50 EACH

Seriously, we paid $15 for 2 bottled waters.  All I could think was, what is this world coming to?!

Pure craziness.

When my father died I barely told anyone. I couldn't even talk about it for years.

Granted it was sudden and I was still a teenager but what Lori is doing isn't normal human behavior.

So Lori thinks "It's AMUSING to see what people do to try to extend their lives."

Kind of like her cyber knife surgery. Was that amusing?

No. Nothing about fighting for one's life is amusing. Nothing about those difficult decisions is amusing.

Is it amusing to see a parent protect their child from an oncoming car? Is it amusing to see what a Soldier will do to stay alive in combat?

She is a heartless shrew and I truly pity her family members who have to grieve with her by their side.

******

I have a couple Fiji bottles in the house. They don't contain Fiji water anymore but I like the little square shape so I bought a couple one time and just refill them from our fridge dispenser.

Oh, my grandpa also played cards and dominos. He rarely bought beer or wine but that was because he made his own. Heh. When my family wanted to splurge, the adults brought out those big bottles of Mogen David wine and drank it out of pimento cheese jars that had been repurposed as glasses.  Still, those were such happy times.

Is this deep thinker saying Meghan Markle isn't a feminist because she's changing her name and not acting anymore?  "I'm proud to be a feminist" is part of her official royal profile LOL

I didn't change my name when I married but if offered the opportunity to change it to Aliss, Duchess of Sussex, or even Aliss, Duchess of Swindon, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

One of the comments on that is 'This post is overfilling with joy! Thank you! :)'  There's no joy in Lori anymore, and I can't help wondering why.  What changed in Lori's life to turn her into such a harsh, unloving bitch?  And could anything happen to change her back?

I wonder that about other fundy women who blog, too. Lori, for sure, Zsu when she gets on a tear, Lydia the Titus 2 Lady. So much anger and vitriol. They sure aren't filled with the joy of the Lord.

Maybe she needs to get that brain tumor checked on again?

I'm not really kidding. She does seem to have had a drastic personality change for the worst, and that's the sort of thing that should be mentioned to her doctor.

If this was my family member I’d definitely be getting things checked out. It’s not only her followers she’s lying too, how many times has Ken recently white knighted into Lori’s defence, declaring that she didn’t say such a thing, only to have the truth screenshoted to him.  She either has no recollection of what she says or she enjoys making Ken look like a complete tool. Either is possible to be fair.

@usmcmom @freealljs sending virtual hugs to you both ❤️

I think I have to add to my previous post:

My mom and I had issues but I was there when she was sick. She was in a nursing home and me and my brother went there once a week to visit her on the weekends, under the weekdays we both had work. The last week of my mothers life I didn´t work but was visiting her for hours a day. And her last day I was there the whole day, I hold her hand when she draw her last breath.

I was not on Facebook or Instagram posting.

What did Alyssa say? I don't know her last time, so I can't look her up.

This is what she said. I think I captured her user name as well so if you want to follow her you can!

I feel like I missed a lot of what was happening on FJ and with Lori since I was hanging out on the twitterverse following the Paige Patterson stuff. Don't think I'm going back to a southern Baptist church for a while. Yeesh. Gotta go catch up after I'm back from a date. Maybe I'll even have wine like the evil young feminist that I am.

Life expectancy is different around the world, depending on various factors eg healthcare, diet, etc. Average life expectancy in Japan and Switzerland is 83, on average. I found a list of countries by life expectancy and they were the top two. The UK was 20th and the US 31st. Female life expectancy is of course higher than male life expectancy; indeed, if you're a Japanese woman the average life expectancy is nearly 87, which is a fair bit beyond the "three-score and ten" that the Bible states. And, GASP, Japan is a majority Shinto/Buddhist country... very few Christians there.

so in the last few days someone mentioned how much Lori's posts have changed over the years. How in the beginning she seemed almost normal and sweet at times.   For fun, I went back and looked at some posts from the first year and found this one.  This one is actually something I can agree with. What happened since then?  Back then, we were all 'complete' now if you don't home school,  if you wear leggings, don't eat organic, if you don't have a million kids, don't obey in every sense, refuse sex, aren't frugal enough, wear nail polish, and a whole host of other things, you don't measure up.

http://lorialexander.blogspot.com/2011/12/complete-in-him.html

Another example of dramatic change, this is from one of Lori's old (2011) blog posts: (http://lorialexander.blogspot.com/2011/03/door-county_08.html)

Quote

We spend the days going on long walks,

exploring the place on mopeds,

riding on the wave runner and in Wesley's fast boat,

wake boarding,

water skiing,

swimming to the point,

relaxing in the sun on the dock,

singing around the campfire making smores,

golfing,

shopping in all the quaint stores,

happy hour with my sister, Alisa, having margaritas and nachos,

family dinners with fresh caught white fish and wine (and of course, my salads),

eating,  talking,  eating,  talking,

going to Not Licked Yet for the most incredible frozen custard that melts before you can eat it,

eating homemade pizza at the Wild Tomato,

watching the beautiful sunsets on the deck.

Did I miss anything? Oh my, do we all long for Door County!

Smores? Margaritas? Nachos? Wine? Over-eating? Frozen custard? Shopping? B-b-b-but, Lori, you look down on people who do those things!!!

I’m curious about how Lori will react if Alyssa and John turn to adoption. Part of me suspects Lori won’t embrace an adopted child the way she allegedly does her other grandchildren. I hate her passive aggressive digs at her own daughter.

I feel for Alyssa. Fertility treatments wreak havoc- physically and emotionally. We were successful but I will never forget the sounds of women sobbing in the other treatment rooms- either because the treatment wasn’t successful or because the embryo didn’t stick. It looks like Alyssa has a pretty good support system so that’s good.

Lori also says this about Door Country: "It seems to be a taste of what God meant for life on planet earth to be like before sin and death destroyed it all.

Really, Lori? God intended for everyone's Grandpa to hand them a cabin and free vacation? (I thought getting stuff for free is wrong?) He intended for us to spend 10 weeks doing no work whatsoever? (I thought we were created to work hard?) To eat junk food like froyo, smores and pizza? (Only when Lori says it's OK?). To spend lots of time shopping in "quaint" shops? (Isn't shopping wrong and something you hate?) THIS is the purpose of life? Do you have a quote from Jesus to back this up? I don't remember him saying a word about quaint shops.
