People always overlook them at shelters, and I've even seen someone try to deliberately run over one, in the street.

We get our first foster kittens today: a set of 4 abandoned little ones.

I'm strangely excited over taking this step. I've wanted to foster forever, but Mr. Shockling gave me a side-eye on that idea.

Good luck with the fostering one of my clients does cat fostering also.  She really likes it.

That is so cool your doing that! One of my former co-workers used to foster animals mostly dogs. Its a tough job. But very amazing to help animals. The differences when she would first get one who's been abuse and then a year or so later was amazing (some took longer). The turn around to the point they were able to be adopted. Some her family ended up keeping either getting too attached or dispute their turn around ended up being too attached to their family to risk adoption. You are doing a really good thing.

We have two sets of cat siblings...Pitter and Patter and Pumpkin and Puffin. There is a lot of cuddling happening. Putter declared himself the “Pater Familias” and aggressively grooms “the boys” when he feels it is necessary. Patter, the only girl, runs the show. ”the boys”

I used to work with a cat rescue and on Black Friday we had a special adoption fair and called it "Black Cat Friday" where all the Black cats we had in rescue were featured. It was awesome!

Chevron minky?? Its my “couch” blanket lol, its mid winter here and so nice to snuggle up with!

My babies at 4 months, and then more recently at two years.

They are littermates and adore each other; very different from Scout and Sadie, who merely tolerated each other for 17 years.

I foster about every 6 months or so. Most recently are the 3 puppies, now 6 months old, happy in their new homes, and HUGE. Our last litter of foster kittens (all in new homes also) just turned a year old. But we took our name off the foster list once Butter and Bailey (2 golden retrievers) arrived. We are currently at 5 animals and technically against city ordinances.

I take my hat off to those who foster kitties, our two are crazy enough for us!

We brought a new house that is a fully open plan kitchen, dining, lounge, sun room/entry and then upstairs to another lounge. So a huge area for free-reigning the kittens. So so far when we are at work or out the kittens have been either in the spare room laxing in the sun on their own queen sized bed lol, or in out huge downstairs bathroom. Our laundry is about the size of a postage stamp and our garage isn’t attached to the house (and a triple garage with super high ceiling there are WAY to many hiding places!!).

Old man Mage and Smokey, it's about 3:45am. The 3rd kitty, Tiger, sleeps with Youngest every night.

I was mistaken. This is my blanket.  My kid named it Big Lovely.
