I started taking coloring lessons around November of last year.  I found a great group online and the lessons are reasonably priced.  I thought I would share a few of the pages I have done since then.

I have also discovered the wonderful world of digital stamps and am totally obsessed with them. I'm going to post each page in a separate post so I can talk about it a little bit without posts getting super long.

Edit:  I'm waiting so my posts don't all merge so come back in a few minutes if you are reading this right after I post it ;)

One of the reasons I decided to try the lessons is because human skin scared me.  I felt like I could never get it right and my people either looked like oompa loompas or zombies.  I mostly just avoided coloring people and it wasn't a huge problem until someone posted a page they did from a Molly Harrison book.

Her people don't require a ton of skin coloring, but almost all her books are filled with people.  This is one I did before lessons.

This is the first lesson I did.  It's from Hannah Lynn's Christmas coloring book.  I used prismacolor pencils and the background is drawn in by me!  The original page is just the girl holding the tree.

very nice.  I still prefer geometrics (when I color) because I can zone out and it requires less thought for me.

Thanks.  I do have a knotwork book which I do enjoy for mindless coloring.  I don't think I've posted anything out of it.  Here is one:

I like mandalas as well, but I usually do animal ones vs geometric.  I have a book of tessellations that I enjoy as well:

I haven't done any coloring in probably close to a year.  Since I found out we were expecting a grandbaby I have been spending most of my time on crocheting baby stuff.   I did have 4 pictures I wanted to color for the nursery and I finally got around to starting on them.

I usually color on 8.5x11 paper, but decided to do these as 5x7 so they didn't take up as much room on the nursery wall.   I was able to knock this out in just a few hours.

The image is by Connie Fong and I followed a Kit and Clowder coloring lesson.   If you are interested in learning more about coloring I highly recommend Kit and Clowder.  The woman that runs it is amazing and incredibly helpful.  There is also a facebook group that is absolutely amazing and supportive.  I really can't recommend it enough :)  (no financial association just a happy student)

I was looking for something on youtube a couple days ago and discovered this newish coloring stuff called Spiroglyphics and Lines and Dots.   I sat watching a random person color one of the pages for way longer than I care to admit.   I ordered the Spiroglyphics: Animals book and a lines and dots: animals one as well.   They just came a bit ago and I'm working on one of the spiroglyphics.

This is a great idea for people that get stuck trying to choose colors (you just pick one darkish color) and worry about "ruining" a page.

Hello, my friends from the other boards -- I color and I'm also doing paper art with my Silhouette Cameo.  Have you watched A Colorful Life on YouTube.  Ann is so genuine, kind, and encouraging to her "fruit bats" as she calls her followers.
