I've met a couple of Apollo-era astronauts and a few musicians. I bitched one out back home when he was tailgating me...I pulled into a 7-11, he pulled in behind me. I was STEAMING furious at the way he'd tailgated me and let him have it.

But Ace was tops, so it wasn't all bad.

Ace was fantastic. She really was what is now the "modern" companion. I would love to see her come back if just for a quick scene or two.

I used to live in NYC and I'm sure at some point I've recounted the celebrities I've seen or run into but probably forgot to share my favorite run-in. I'm a fan of figure skating.  I was volunteering reading with a first grader during lunch and one day as I was walking up to the school I saw a group taking pictures on the steps. I hung out till the photographer was finished and then proceeded up the steps. Lo and behold it was the cast of Stars on Ice. When I caught Kurt Browning's eye I couldn't help myself and sheepishly grinned blurting 'I love your skating'. In return he sheepishly grinned and said 'thanks!' while playfully punching me in the arm. What a great guy! OTOH Scott Hamilton scowled at me. No longer as big of a fan of his.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles. Never liked it so I left in my twenties. But I did get to see my fair share of celebrities. One that sticks out happened when I was working in a restaurant. Robert Blake was my customer. I had been convinced that he had killed his wife, and was less than thrilled to serve him.

I've met a handful of famous people, but my favourite was probably Hanson, because I used to really love them, LOL

I have seen a few celebrities in my time. The guy who played Kevin's best friend Paul in The Wonder years is actually from my town and I have seen him a few times.

I've gotten to meet a few fairly well-known Youtubers as well as the bassist of my favorite band!  I had no idea what to say to the bassist as I was running on three hours of sleep and had to do a final presentation for one of my classes earlier that day, but I was (and still am) over the moon about it.

My sister, on the other hand, once ran into Scott Walker and his family at a restaurant.

Celebrity sightings-

Saw Prince at the Minneapolis/Saint Paul airport when I was a kid. Him and his bodyguard were a few feet away from us. My parents waved and he smiled, gave us a peace sign and waved back before taking off on a cart.

Saw Owen Wilson across the street from me in NYC once.

Jason Sudeikis and Paul Rudd at a Target.

I've met and have known several famous musicians throughout my life. Including Ringo Starr who I have met once. He is acquainted with a family friend, who is also a somewhat well known musician. In certain circles anyway. I won't say who, out of fear of doxing myself. I've also met Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris.

I saw Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard at a museum in Cohengahan a few years ago. I think I was the only other person there from the US, and the only person who noticed/recognized them. They were clearly having a relaxed day out with their kids, so I just made a mental note and moved on.

I used to take the train between Baltimore and Wilmington, DE when I was in grad school and my parents live in DE. I saw Joe Biden in the station a few times, and once was on the same train as him. I noticed extra security on the train (they actually checked ID end taking tickets), but didn’t realize it was Biden until I saw his motorcade leave the station while i was waiting for my ride.

I have one high school classmate who is now a D-lost reality TV star and semi-professional musician, plus I’m casually acquainted with a handful of NBA players after living on the same dorm floor in college.

His initials are B. H. He's originally from Williamsburg VA. His father owned an oil company named after the family. He toured with the Grateful Dead and a few other bands. His biggest hit was "That's just the way it is". He thought he was all that (typical Williamsburg rich kid) and his ego got bigger when he hit it big. I informed him I knew his family and just because he was BH didn't give him the right to blow back into town and tailgate people on Rt 60 coming from James City County into Newport News.

Living in a Nashville suburb, I've seen some country singers at doctor and dentist offices. I would've thought that achieving some level of fame would afford you the opportunity to avoid sitting in the waiting room.

Also, for some reason hordes of past Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants have migrated to Nashville and I see those idiots all over the place.

Didn't happen to me, but to a friend of mine. She and her mother were in Germany, touring a castle. Lo and behold,  there on the top of the castle with her and her mother, was John Denver! This girl was a HUGE John Denver fan, and her mother was poking her, saying, "go get his autograph!  Say hello! Get a picture!"

JD saw the commotion, but all my friend could do was to "buh... buh... buh" kind of speech. JD was very nice, posed for a picture, gave her his autograph. My poor friend did not recover her powers of speech until after the encounter was over..

I honestly don't know that I've ever had a celebrity encounter. At least not one that I can remember. Well, when we saw Wicked in Toronto ~12 years ago apparently Rosie O'Donnell walked by us, but I didn't see her. And I saw The Arrogant Worms in concert and then got my CD signed by them and accidentally knocked over one of the guys' water bottles. But thankfully it was empty.

...Yeah.

Oh wait, I messaged Jessa on Facebook once to ask her what kind of blender she used, and she replied. LOL. #BlessaBlessed (Actually, I did end up buying one of that brand and it's a nice blender. Apparently I get all my blender and style tips from Jessa. That astrologer who came to FJ once and did people's birth charts told me that Jessa and I were both born under the same rare weird-ass moon or something [she didn't put it quite like that, but you know] so that must be why!)

I've seen a few celebrities in restaurants and clubs. The most interesting story involves Shug Knight.

I was at a club in Las Vegas in 2012, and a friend of mine pointed out that Shug Knight was in a roped off VIP section near where we were dancing. I was very drunk and don't remember the details extremely well, but I definitely opened sections of the velvet rope to get into the VIP section two or three times before they escorted me and my friends out of the club.

Luckily my friends thought the whole thing was hilarious. They said I kept sneaking behind the bouncer to open the rope and Shug Knight was cracking up about the whole thing. To be clear- I didn't know ANYTHING about his fairly extensive criminal record at the time. I'd be a lot more wary if the same thing came up now.

Haven't seen any bachelor or bachelorettes yet, but then again I don't watch that show

I'm working in Franklin right now when I met the lady who sang backup for Ray Stevens.

Another day I was driving downtown and was in the middle of Broadway and to my right was Dierks Bentley just hanging out on the sidewalk. See Terri Clark at Tootsies but didn't realize it until after she left. And the first time I sang in Nashville was with Dolly Parton's sister about twelve years ago. I have a friend who's ran into Reba walking down the road six different times. I'm dying for my turn haha

Actual celebs I have met?

A handful of Duggars if you count them haha

Hilary Clinton, got a letter from Dolly once and a myspace message from Alyssa Milano. John Schneider, Catherine Bach, Miranda Lambert (her mom is so sweet) James Best, the guys who played Enos and Cletus on Dukes of Hazzard. I know there's more but I honestly can't remember them all.
