Which is ironic because look who runs the show and is responsible for most of the income and the smooth running of the households? The women/girls, of course. Because of them everything is running smoothly and the show is still running.

Who must know the way to make a proper home,

A quiet home, a kosher home?

Who must raise the family and run the home,

So Papa's free to read the holy book?

The Mama, the Mama!

(tradition!)

I read somewhere that the amish were having some major upheavals as the women were becoming bread winners (you make more money selling hand made artisan stuff than farming). I wonder if the Duggars will have a similar issue.  On the other hand they could go the way of some Orthodox Jews and start believing that the men have to have their ministry and so the women should support that 100%, including by providing for the family.

Why does Jim Bob like Josiah the least? IMHO, it's because of Josiah's formerly irrepressible sense of humor. He was to me clearly a  free spirit, and JB couldn' t understand him, couldn't control his responses like he could with the other boys. I hope some of that spirit is still inside Josiah despite all the trips to ALERT.

I think that was the Holt campaign.   Holt lost and courtship was broken off because Josh and his porn watching.

And there is also the story of JB and Josh being seen at a “men’s” venue, enjoying some live show. I’m thinking that was likely true too. I have never bought JB’s pious act. His helmet head and ah shucks presentation just scream sleazy and dishonest, IMO.

idk...find it hard to believe he votes a straight GOP ticket... or listens to the Gaithers lol

Why? He is a middle aged White male in the south. That sounds like a GOP voter to me.

I know many, MANY middle-aged white males in the south who don't vote a straight GOP ticket. And some of them don't vote GOP at all.

The media will tell you different - but it's up to you to discern the truth.

Cool anecdata. I too know middle aged white men who also didn't vote GOP. Doesn't change the fact that the majority of white males vote GOP. Older men are more likely to vote GOP. And the GOP is stronger in the south.

No one thinks all white southerners vote for the GOP, but the actual fact is that most do.
