Not quite sure where this happened.  Of course if it was Florida it wouldn't surprise me.

A truly baffling incident at a gas station McDonald’s went viral on TikTok after Merari, aka @mdicola3, shared the recording of a customer behind the counter grabbing his own nuggets from the rack.

The video currently has over 1.5 million views as many people have watched in bewilderment as the large man in an American flag t-shirt licks his fingers and helps himself to the nuggets as a manager in a green t-shirt seems to be calling the police.

The customer can be heard saying, “There are 20 nuggets! Here we go, I’ll get them myself.” He grabs the nuggets from the waiting tray with his bare hands, not even bothering to get a bag or box and probably oil on his shirt. He walks out from behind the counter mumbling, “I got my 20 nuggets. I’m sorry, I’m tired of waiting.”

The manager follows after the man on the phone as he walks out of the McDonald’s, and can be heard telling the operator that he doesn’t know the address of his store. The phone call seems to anger the irate customer, who storms back into the fast food restaurant chasing the manager, nuggets in his mouth as he shouts, “You’ve got a what to what? You’ve got a what to what?”

One commenter noted how he was wearing a these colors don't run shirt while chasing the manager who called the cops on him and throwing nuggets at him.  I bet the guy is also a Branch Trumpvidian.

Drinking and playing Monopoly is not a good idea.

Quote

The Tulsa Police Department arrested a man Saturday night after they say a family game of Monopoly turned violent.

Officers were called to a shots fired call near Admiral and Mingo just before 6:30 p.m. The caller identified the suspect as John Armstrong, saying he chased her down and fired a shot at her and her father.

When police arrived, they immediately took Armstrong into custody.

Investigators learned the family had been drinking alcohol and playing Monopoly when a fight broke out between Armstrong and his stepfather. After knocking over the game board and turning over furniture, they were told to take the fight outside.

I wonder if he tried using the get out of jail free card?

Gonna guess alcohol was involved here.

A holiday party fracas involving a man dressed as the Grinch and a coworker wearing a reindeer costume required the intervention of Michigan cops who arrested the Seuss wannabe for assault and battery, according to police reports.

Officers were summoned late Saturday night to a Traverse City hotel, where a “work Christmas party started an altercation in the bar area.” The men involved in the fight are employed by a local oil and gas equipment company.

Before cops arrived, the dispute spilled out of the bar and into the main lobby of the Hotel Indigo. Employee Keri Stock told police she saw “the man in the green Grinch outfit” fighting and “yelling back and forth” with a man wearing a plaid jacket.

Davis was arrested and booked into the Grand Traverse County jail on a misdemeanor assault and battery count. The reindeer, Ryan Jones, 30, was not charged.

Iowa trying to be the Florida of the Midwest again

Quote

Des Moines Police are investigating a bizarre case on the southeast side of Des Moines.

Automated teller machines keep showing up in a wooded area behind an apartment complex on East Virginia Avenue.

“Who knows who is doing this and for what reason they are doing it. They actually could have gotten cash, and they could have done an armed robbery or something, and I don’t know if they are living right next to me or not,” said tenant Kaleb Marker.

Police say each ATM is busted open and all the money is missing.

Did Iowa man respond maturely to being convicted of attempted murder and nine other charges?    Of course not.  He got stupid instead

Quote

The man convicted of shooting a Linn County Sheriff’s Deputy while robbing a gas station could receive a harsher prison sentence for his comments in court.

A jury convicted Stanley Donahue on 10 charges including attempted murder for shooting Deputy Will Halverson. While Donahue was leaving the court, he swore at the Deputy and the Deputy’s family.

“It should of been worse than what it was. F*** you,” is what Donahue said while walking out of the court following his conviction. Someone returned the swear back to him.

Donahue shot Deputy Halverson seven times while responding to an armed robbery at the Casey’s in Coggon in June of 2021.

This led the prosecutor to ask the judge to order consecutive sentences instead of concurrent ones.

The seventh planet is back in the news now as the Webb Telescope captured images of beautiful rings rimming the planet.

Quote

The Webb Space Telescope has taken a stunning image of Uranus, with a twist: Here, the seventh planet from the Sun is encircled by prominent concentric rings.

Uranus has 13 dusty rings, 11 of which are visible in the Webb image. The rings are split into two sets (an inner and outer system), which are named for a range of Greek letters and numbers. The ring system is also visible, albeit more faintly, in Hubble shots of Uranus taken in November 2014 and November 2022.

Each planet has its quirks, but Uranus stands out even among misfits. It is an ice giant, thought to be mostly (80% or more) icy water, methane, and ammonia surrounding a rocky core, according to NASA. Its skies are dominated by storm clouds, though it is not nearly as turbid as the gas giant Jupiter. It has a larger diameter than Neptune, the other ice giant, but a slightly smaller mass.

The new Webb image comes from a 12-minute exposure taken on February 6, 2023, when the world was 1.83 billion miles from Earth. A wider field of view captures six moons: Puck, Ariel, Miranda, Umbriel, and the outlying Titania and Oberon. (Uranus is unique for having moons named for the works of Shakespeare and Alexander Pope, rather than the typically Greek or Roman nomenclature.)

Kansas man went on a beer destroying spree at a Wal-Mart

Quote

Another customer began recording the man in question, later identified by police as J. Dustin D. Cain, when he was already deep in the throes of destruction at a Walmart in Topeka, Kansas. Dozens of beers are shown strewn about at his feet, leaking and dented, as he continues to hurl full cases out of the refrigeration display and slam them onto the ground.

At one point, he chucks a can all the way down the aisle at the person recording on his phone, seeming to almost hit another customer even further back.

Cain says nothing about his actions over the course of the video, and a motive for the chaos has not yet been released by police, but the person filming seems to have a moment of realization where he says “That’s why he’s destroying… Oh, he’s destroying the Busch Light, dude!”

Both the original uploader and many chiming in across social media seem to have had the same thought — that Cain was possibly going after the beer cans in response to Bud Light’s partnership with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Yeah, not a good idea to import bottom shelf beer into the EU and call it the Champagne of Beers

Quote

Belgium has destroyed a shipment of American beer after taking exception to its maker’s slogan that it was “The Champagne of Beers.”

Belgian customs crushed the 2,352 cans of Miller High Life beer earlier this week, reasoning that they were improperly labeled as Champagne.

The move came after a trade association for the Champagne industry complained that the term should be used only on bottles of sparkling wine, made using a traditional method in Champagne, France.

By convention, true Champagne – as in, the French sparkling wine – can only be made using Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes.

Meanwhile, over in Texas (once again)

Quote

Wichita Falls police received a rather unique call Friday morning involving a woman drinking wine in a Walmart parking lot.

Employees requested officers to ban a woman from the local Walmart store after she reportedly had been drinking wine from a Pringles can for several hours while riding on an electric cart.

The woman was reportedly riding on an electric shopping cart more commonly used for people with physical limitations. Officers were also told she was drinking wine from a Pringle's can.

When officers arrived, they found the woman in a nearby restaurant, at which point she was notified that she had been barred from the Walmart location.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Went to a local brewery in Minneapolis this evening.  When I arrived there was a guy there trying to convince the bartender to give him a beer.  Apparently the last time he had been in - several months ago - he had been "inappropriate" and ripped a stuffed deer head off the wall.  Instead of trying to make things right and showing that he'd be responsible adult he went off on a tangent that resulted in his ass getting thrown out of the brewery.  Le sigh.

The DOT is a bit ticked off at American Airlines

Quote

American Airlines is facing the largest-ever fine for keeping passengers waiting on board airplanes during hours-long delays.

The Department of Transportation is levying the $4.1 million fine, “the largest civil penalty that the Department has ever assessed” it said in a statement, for lengthy tarmac delays of 43 flights that impacted more than 5,800 passengers. The flights occurred between 2018 and 2021.

In the longest of the delays, passengers sat aboard a plane in Texas in August 2020 for six hours and three minutes. The 105-passenger flight had landed after being diverted from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport due to severe weather, with the DOT alleging that “American lacked sufficient resources to appropriately handle several of these flights once they landed.”

Federal rules set the maximum time that passengers can be held without the opportunity to get off prior to takeoff or after landing, at three hours for domestic flights and four hours for international flights. Current rules also require airlines provide passengers water and a snack.

Never had to wait that long but yeah, that's not cool American Airlines.  Especially if a flight is diverted.

An inmate at the Dubuque county jail assaulted deputies, giving one a concussion.

Quote

Police say a Dubuque County Jail inmate this week assaulted an officer and gave her a concussion.

Jarrel D. Johnson, 32, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the jail on a charge of assault on persons in certain occupations resulting in bodily injury.

Court documents state the incident occurred Wednesday afternoon when Johnson began yelling at and resisting officers. Officers eventually gained control of the situation and escorted him to his cell.

Upon arriving at his cell, court documents state “Johnson immediately lunged back toward the door and struck Deputy (Ashlee) Hoffmann with multiple closed fists to her face.”

Punching her gave her a concussion.  He had previously assaulted and injured jail staff in February so any lessons from that did not stick.  As I've said elsewhere I'm fairly liberal but something like this really pisses me off.  As life changing a traumatic brain injury (aka concussion) can be to deliberately inflict it on someone makes me mad.  Hopefully she'll make a complete recovery from this assault.  And if it was up to be from now on any time he needed to be removed from his cell it'd be in a way where he'd have to leave handcuff and multiple tazers pointed at him ready to do their thing if so much as flinched.  I did send the deputy get well wishes through the sheriff's department.

Something else that just occurred to me that with the concussion I may have dysnomia now.  I've noticed - and some of you too - that I've been putting in wrong words sometimes.  If I see it I try to edit it if I catch it in time  The condition is called dysnomia.  It's embarrassing to find such errors caused by the condition, especially if I can't edit them.  I hope Ms. Hoffman doesn't have that.

Some Ontario soccer referees are now wearing body cams to deter entitled dipshit parents

Quote

Some referees with Ontario's soccer association started wearing body cameras this week as part of a new pilot project meant to deter parental abuse, which is a main reason officials are quitting the job.

There are 50 body cameras available to the roughly 6,000 referees in the province, according to Ontario Soccer CEO Johnny Misley, who said the effort is the first of its kind in North America. The British Football Association rolled out a similar project earlier this year, which Misley said inspired the Ontario effort.

"We feel there's an opportunity here, that we can show some leadership and try to curb the culture of referee abuse, which is the number one reason why referees leave the game and sport in general," Misley said.

"This is not acceptable. And honestly, seeing these referees with cameras on them today is a pretty sad state of where our society is," he added.

If it was up to me I'd make these dipshits sign an agreement before their children were allowed to participate in sports that says if the parents abuse a referee the bodycam video of that abuse is going straight to: (a) their clergy; (b) their employer; (c) their family members; (d) Facebook; (e) Twitter; and (g) YouTube.

Ok fellow FJers.  If you get pulled over and you have active warrants, if you decide to give a fake name make sure the other guy doesn't have active warrants first;

Quote

Police in Kentucky said a man arrested during a traffic stop attempted to give officers a false name. The name belonged to a wanted person.

The Corbin Police Department said an officer pulled over 30-year-old Michael Jones on Sunday.

During the stop, police said Jones gave a false name of someone who had several active warrants.

Authorities said Jones also tried to destroy drug evidence in his vehicle.

Meanwhile in Minnesota

Quote

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said they seized and destroyed a small box of giraffe feces an Iowa woman attempted to bring into the country at an airport in Minnesota last month.

In a press release, CBP officials said the Iowa woman declared the giraffe feces, stating she had gotten the droppings in Kenya and planned to use them to make a necklace.

She was stopped, and the box was seized at the Minneapolis - Saint Paul International Airport on Sept. 29

“There is a real danger with bringing fecal matter into the U.S.,” said CBP Director of Field Operations-Chicago Field Office LaFonda D. Sutton-Burke said in a press release on Thursday. “If this person had entered the U.S. and had not declared these items, there is high possibility a person could have contracted a disease from this jewelry and developed serious health issues.”

Yet another example of how Iowa stands for Idiots Out Wandering Around

Quote

Dubuque city leaders are cautioning drivers to slow down and follow road closure signage and construction detours throughout the city after they say motorists have been ignoring or even moving the barricades.

In a release on Monday, city leaders said the areas of particular concern are the Jackson Street closure between 29th and 32nd Streets and the John F. Kennedy Road and W. 32nd Street area.

City leaders are reminding motorists that the signs and barricades are there as safety measures for motorists and construction workers.

The Midwest Hy-Vee grocery chain announced it's closing all of its stores on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day this year.

Quote

Hy-Vee says all of its stores will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day this year, so employees can enjoy the holidays with their loved ones.

That goes for 550 locations, across eight states.

“As we head into the holiday season, we want to once again show our appreciation for all our hardworking employees by providing them with quality time to spend with their loved ones,” Hy-Vee’s CEO Jeremy Gosch said in a press release. “By closing our stores on Thanksgiving Day, our employees can focus on and enjoy their own celebrations.”

I'm glad they're doing that.  When I worked at Wally World those were two days when the store would close.

Ahhhh my home state finally represents....

Quote

An Iowan pleasured himself outside a Kum & Go store and then departed for his nearby apartment, according to an indecent exposure complaint filed following his arrest yesterday.

According to cops, victims called 911 to report that an “unknown male had said sexual things to them and began masturbating in their presence” while outside the convenience store in Iowa City.

After a police canvass near the Kum & Go, officers identified Kenneth Lee Kelly, 54, as a suspect in the public pleasure session. “Multiple subjects from Kum & Go, neighboring businesses, and apartments identified the defendant as the subject in the photos,” cops reported.

Contacted at home, Kelly denied he was the individual captured on surveillance video. Kelly, however, “confirmed he had clothing that matched the video” and showed police a hat that was an “identical match” to the one worn by the suspect during the deed earlier this year.

Meanwhile in Indiana

Quote

An ex-con with a lengthy rap sheet who is prohibited from carrying a handgun had a Smith & Wesson pistol stashed in his rectum when he was booked into jail early this morning, according to an Indiana police report.

Before being placed in a cruiser, Boyd...was searched...“While searching in Boyd’s groin area, Boyd tensed up,” a cop noted, adding that he asked the suspect if he had “anything stuffed in his groin or buttocks.”

Upon arriving at the county jail, Boyd “was now walking with a limp and appeared to be clenching his buttocks when he walked.” Boyd was then placed through a body scanner which detected a “large object” in his groin region. A strip search located two plastic bags containing marijuana “tucked next to Boyd’s scrotum.”

Police then sought to remove an unknown item from Boyd’s rectum. While Boyd continued to clench his buttocks, a cop “was able to see that the object Boyd had in his rectum was a handgun.” The weapon was subsequently removed from inside Boyd and secured in a patrol car.

This moron calls 911 on the police who pulled him over.  That goes as well as expected.

And at one point in the video he claims he doesn't commit adultery.  I'm betting he isn't even married in the first place.

Pro Tip: Don't file nude photographs on the public docket without checking with the court first

Quote

A New York attorney was sanctioned $1,000 for posting nude photographs on the public docket a second time after the court placed them under seal the first time he posted them.

“In the digital age, when everything publicly filed on a court’s docket is readily accessible and transmittable, counsel have a particular obligation to behave responsibly and in a manner that reflects that reality,” Judge Denise L. Cote of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said Monday.

Cote used her inherent power to sanction attorney Jeffrey Chabrowe. She said that Chabrowe’s conduct related to his professional responsibility and he “acted in bad faith in twice choosing to file the photographs of the plaintiff on the public docket.” There was no excuse for doing that, she said, and bad faith can be inferred when “the action is completely without merit.”

“The public filing can only be interpreted as an attempt to humiliate and place improper pressure on the plaintiff,” Cote said. She also said that Chabrowe “repeatedly failed to acknowledge that he has acted improperly,” and rejected his contention that he didn’t know that the initial photographs were placed under seal.
