Amy Duggar defends herself against me! (EPIC FAIL)

So, on her fan page, someone asked her if Josie is doing okay and she responded with the following:

I got really ticked off and decided to comment back on how I feel like the show is using Josie as a way to gain viewers. This was Amy's response to the criticism: Might I add, her defense was really stupid.

I'm sure she's just afraid that Sean will cut her out again. After that picture of JD with the guns surfaced, along with a few other comments from Amy, she definitely got cut loose from the show for awhile. She could certainly comment on Josie's situation and there's nothing the TLC producers could do to her...but it would seriously decrease her opportunities to exercise her famewhore personality. Amy will always put herself first, and I'm sure she's afraid if she pisses off TPTB she won't get another chance.

I also agree with slickcat she is probably fears being cutting out by Sean and TPTB due to her previous blabberings and pic issues she did on Facebook. I hope Amy enjoyed this trip because I think the Duggars have two seasons at most left. After the show is done, I doubt Boob will include Amy on trips.

I'd keep quiet if it meant losing out on a trip to Europe! I think she is probably afraid to say too much again and does not realize how that might come across to others.

But I think Josie must be fine now. Didn't Michelle and Jill fly home with her? If she were still sick enough to have to go to the hospital I would think it would be in the news, wouldn't it?

xReems, I posted on that comment too! I tried to resist but people were saying to lay off Amy and someone said:

"Obviously she's ok, we would have heard if she wasn't."

so I replied with:

"Not if they want to wring another episode and some ratings out of her illness."

That's when Amy piped up to say that Josie isn't being used for rating but is going to be a big part of the upcoming season (does not compute) and then personally responded to you. I thought about pointing out her lack of sense there, but decided it would be better for my blood pressure if I just left well enough alone.

You need to understand people ARE concerned and while saying the above wont exactly give out informat...ion, it does come across as appreciating the concern. What you originally put came across as as nothing more than a plug for the show. Sorry, but that is offensive. It is disregarding the concern that your FANS show for your cousin. If your fans feel they are being disregarded and concerns are dismissed with a plug for the show, then they wont remain your fans. I pretty protective of my real identity but my facebook profile is private anyway and I have a grand total of 4 friends (hubby, son and 2 best friends). I do have another FB profile, which is public and is my fundie persona, but I was logged into my real one and couldn't be bothered to log out and log into the fundie one.

Famy Fuggar annoys the hell out of me. The only reason she is on that show is because she is a fame hungry media whore. The show was unique and interesting before she got involved. Now it seems to be being used as a leg up for Famy. TLC aren't fooling anyone by their insistence that having Famy on is to provide a contrast. Bullshit. If TLC want the show to continue, they need to get Famy off the show and go back the original format of showing every day life in a supersize family. As for her protestations that it wasn't 'stupid'; yes sweetie it was. If you cannot take the criticism then don't be the Duggar mouth piece on Facebook.

Amy is definitely a ditz and she would never notice the contradiction in her statement. I also don't see her admiting she was wrong or apologizing. I do hope Sean and TPTB cut her out of the show again. I'm starting to think there might be two seasons of the left. Boob confirmed that there will be another season after this one that will start in January or February. I have a feeling TLC could announce a cancellation then. But if the show goes on until 2013, I think the TPTB probably wouldn't include Amy in the final season. Once the show ends, people will stop paying attention to Amy on FB and people will unfollow her on Twitter.

She doesn't understand why so many are fired up about her comment. She made it sound like "Hey everyone! Josie got sick in Israel but I can't say anything because it's going to be an episode!" Seriously, you find NOTHING wrong with using your family's struggle to gain viewers? I got extremely pissed off last season when they were filming, clearly with an iPhone, of Josie at the hospital, in pain, and miserable after her seizure. Why is that even necessary?! If I was in their shoes, I would have told the producers off for even trying to take that as an opportunity to turn it into an episode.

Amy is using her family's "fame" as a way to boost her supposed singing career yet goes on how "God is helping her." No, Amy, God is not helping you, you're just riding the coat tail and using that to gain "fans" who clearly are just using you to inside scoop on your family. What Anna's sister said about Amy is true: She does use God as an excuse for everything and does it all for attention. Why was it necessary to put her now ex-boyfriend in last season when we learn that they broke up?! She might be 2 years older than me, but I act much more mature than she does. She doesn't work hard whatsoever, though she claims she does. Amy, all those Coach purses you carry around does not come from your "hard earned money"; you're 25 years old, living at home and living off your father's income while working as a "nanny" and going out and hanging out with your friends. Don't act all high and mighty God loving woman, when you know you're just s selfish spoiled brat who plugs in "God" every chance you get just to show "Hey, look, I'm a good Christian too like my aunt, uncle, and cousins!"

Yes, your family is using Josie's struggle as a way to get attention. Please, their family uses every chance they get to be on GMA when I'm sure half of the viewers could care less. You're not THAT famous, get over it.

Amy could have said, "Josie is doing well--there's going to be a special episode that goes into more detail" or "Josie isn't doing so well. We would appreciate prayers for her. If you want more details, there is going to be a special episode that goes into more detail."

Refusing to answer how her cousin is doing, even in a cursory manner, speaks volumes about the Duggar family in my opinion. They are famewhores who don't give a shit about anybody else. The person who asked her how Josie was doing was obviously concerned about a the health of a fellow human being who has had a tumultuous medical past. "lol watch our show" is not an appropriate response to that.

That's why Anna's BIL got really ticked off at the producers, mainly Sean, during the wedding special since Sean wanted everyone to sign a waiver to appear on the show and that if they didn't, they couldn't participate. Plus, the whole staged sex talk, definitely proves that Duggars have no control over their own show, which is sad and pathetic. If I was in their shoes and noticed that the creators and producers wanted to turn our struggle into something that's "glorifying", I would have put an end to it. Clearly, the Duggars are enjoying their new found fame and income, and are aware that if they call it quits now, there goes their wonderful lifestyle of traveling everywhere free of charge. In the beginning, the show was about showing how they live and their lifestyle but now it's turned into a way to show off how this show has benefited them financially. Plus, it's a way for Amy to get a boost in her singing career and get noticed.

That's what I liked about the show when it first started. It was showing how they lived, how they managed with so many kids, an introduction to QF lifestyle and what have. It was interesting. Now though, the format has changed beyond recognition. It's just the Duggars getting freebies all over the world, cousin Famy Fuggar seeing how irritating she can be, and a whole 'look how wonderful we are' theme running through it. Well no, sorry. You are not so fucking wonderful, especially you Famy. You're all just media whores and I feel very sorry for the little kids being brought up like that.

I'm sorry but I had to comment back once again. How does "We're not using Josie for ratings...she's a big part of the upcoming season though" show that they're not using her for ratings? She's contradicting herself throughout her whole defense and makes no sense. Someone needs to teach her how to debate because she's definitely going off the wall with her statement.

I seriously want one of the older ones to completely break away and speak the truth about the show. We all know certain things are staged and it's sickening and obvious that they're using Josie's struggle to gain sympathy attention. Right now, there's no courtship, pregnancy, nor wedding bells in the air, which means ratings will drop. HOWEVER, if they film Josie sick or having a major/minor setback, people will tune in and watch, thus increasing their required viewers in order to continue the show.

Like I said, the fact that they had to film Josie USING AN iPHONE in the seizure episode, shows just how low the producers and Duggars will go to increase viewers. If my child was having a seizure, I would not even think about whipping out an iphone and filming her in pain. I'm convinced that one of the older ones called up the film crew regarding the situation and Sean, or whoever else, told them to film it for them. It's sickening and disgusting and I hope that this is the last season we have to deal with this fame whore family.

Was Amy's mom married at the time Amy was born? Wouldn't she have the last name of her father? Why Amy Duggar? Did she change it to latch onto the fame of the family? I wouldn't change my last name unless I got married or if my dad wasn't in my life and I wanted to my stepdad's. Just wondering.
