Based on her adoring gazing at her douche of a husband, my guess is no leash needed.

Or she grew to accept a leash so tight that she can't even move her head freely...

My honest view of Anna is that she is not particularly intellectually curious, and not too bright. She is very happy with the lifestyle she was born into - I think motherhood suits her really well and she adores those kids. She also seems to do well managing them and homeschooling them. Obviously she isn't preparing them for Harvard but she does have 4 very young kids, 5th almost here, horrible husband and side-drama and seems to have held up well.

It's also very, very easy in their fundy mindset to blame the great Satan (the devil, not Iran) for all evils. Poor Josh, he was just too tempted by the devil and too weak to fight back this time, that time, oh and those other 87 times. I can absolutely see her convincing herself that HE is a good man, he just succumbed to Nike one time too many. And now he's back on the straight and narrow and what better proof than the baby God sent her?

josh will leave after this baby. I really think so. But if he doesn't, he's certainly straying again. Unless he gets publicly caught, we'll never know.  But there is no way if he couldn't be faithful to Anna with three, pregnant with 4, that is going to be faithful to 4, pregnant with 5 and beyond.

To go where? And do what?

He is: 1. Lazy. 2. Uneducated. 3. Without a social circle or family support beyond the fundy world. 4. Without a single employable skill. 5. Lazy. 6. Used to the Duggar good life.

Not a chance does he go anywhere.

Anna looks totally infatuated with Josh in that congrats video....

She is just thrilled to know where he is and that he isn't sinning (at that moment)

I am sure the Duggars are watching Josh like hawk and it probably will continue for a long time.

I think they'll slack off and get lulled into a false sense of complacency with him. Maybe they already have. If he seems cured, they'll celebrate and just assume/hope that it's going to stick this time. They have too much going on in their own lives to focus that much on Josh. And I really believe they're going to get burned by him again.

Speaking of which...has this been discussed? "Josh Duggar's sisters want him out of their privacy lawsuit, says report" It is suspected that there is trouble in Duggar land.

I agree.  I think the Duggars have their heads DEEP in the sand with Joshy.  I don't think they are willing to confront the fact that the scandals were NOT minor indiscretions or one-off poor choices, but symptoms of much larger issues.

I really do not believe Josh is happy with Anna.  I don't think she can give him what he needs in a partner, and possibly vice versa.  I don't think that Josh and Anna are compatible, and as they enter their 30s, I think it will be harder and harder for Josh to keep himself in line and not look to fulfill his unmet needs outside the relationship.

Anna might be intelligent. How can we know? What choices has she had both preDuggar and after marrying into this clusterf*ck?? It's all well and good for us to armchair quarterback her life but to say she's dumb seems mean. She has excelled at motherhood and seemed eager to learn about nutrition prior to Josh's fall. I don't think these women are dumb just brainwashed by a cult.

Yes in the general Duggar thread. Not really sure if it actually means much.

I didn't say that she was dumb, just that she isn't too bright. Yes, I have no way of knowing that 100%, but I am relying on her interviews and the way she speaks and what she says on the show. Yes, these women are brainwashed, but you don't have me saying that I think Jessa is not bright, for example. I think she is. Jill isn't. It's not that hard to pick up on things just listening to them speak.

Anna strikes me as being at least of average intelligence. Jill I think could actually be above average, but she makes herself seem silly and childish on purpose because she really bought into her calling as a sweet fundie maiden, then sweet fundie wife and mommy. I'm not saying any of them are geniuses, but I do think listening to them speak isn't necessarily the best way to gauge their intelligence, because they've been conditioned to make themselves sound cute, demure, naive and non-threatening.

Besides anything else, I think Anna is one tough cookie, physically.

She's been in her last few days of pregnancy and flown in airplanes, been in that busfromhell on a book tour, moved to DC right after delivering one of the kids... in a wedding, most recently..

I know pregnancy is a normal condition but she just goes and does.. and manages to stay upright.

For sure. I think she is by far the strongest of them all mentally. And while they did have some help with the kids when they lived locally and Jana came out to DC a couple of times, let's not forget that Anna singlehandedly raised those kids in DC, feeding them, educating them, while functioning in a very foreign environment outside of her comfort level. While Josh was philandering around town and online. Compare her way of coping to Jill's in CA.

I have a lot of respect for her. I just don't think that she's particularly intellectually curious and there's nothing necessarily wrong with that. It just explains how and why she is able to cope with her loser husband.

Anna also makes pretty babies.  And for my own sanity, I am going to pretend that she spontaneously creates them all by herself.  I think her kids look like dolls.

I cannot imagine living with a man like him--EVEN without the molestation and cheating scandals.  I always hated him the most of all the family, from the very first 14 Kids and Pregnant Again.  The smugness.  But at least his wife makes pretty babies.

Just watched the video of Anna & Josh.  I found Anna's entire facial expressions, mannerisms to be disturbing. I can't quite define it, other than disturbing.

Agree.  Joshley may be the one to leave Anna & the cult, write the tell all book, and lead a life style, that involves hooking up with as many woman as possible.  Right now I believe JimBoob has him on a short leash and is controlling him with money, employment and paying his legal fees.  I do not see Anna ever leaving Josh.

I know someone who married young, 21, and had 3 kids right away.  By the age of 30, he was screwing an 18-yr old co-worker in the back of his station wagon. He had a screwed up childhood & started working very early. It was like a early mid-life crisis. His wife divorced him & a few years later, remarried. He immediately asked the 18-year old to marry him but her mother talked some sense into her & she turned down his proposal. He's never remarried. I wonder if he regrets screwing up because he had a lot of responsibilities at a young age. He seems lonely.

So I get that some men can't hack the responsibility of young marriage & several kids. It does not make them demons. But Jerkface preaches that the Duggar way is perfect & godly. The gross hypocrisy really gets to me.

And with every new baby, he'll be under more pressure & feel more trapped. The stress will get to him. I think he'll screw up as soon as he gets a chance. It may not become public right away but eventually...

I'm not saying babies are traps for men or burdens, but they can seem that way to immature & selfish guys. And Josh is the epitome of immature & selfish. He doesn't deserve those adorable babies.

Guess there's no baby news yet. Maybe there's no baby and it's an elaborate hoax. To what end, I cannot say. [emoji12] [emoji16]

Maybe if he got his hands on some good money, he would.  #lawsuit.  It's the only end game that makes sense to me.  If he were truly repentant and sorry, he would not do such a thing.  He's actually playing victim.  That's sick right there.  I think Josh is the sort that gets off on the hunt, the secret, the act of secrecy.  He's not man enough to leave and be free ( before crushing his wife would've been the perfect time).  He's wired wrong.  I think he learned to navigate his inner world through his actual world young.  I see no reason to say that about the other Duggar kids, he is different.   I feel for Anna.  She is strong and loves this lifestyle, she is good at it and believes in it.  I don't like her world view but so help me I feel for her.

And did he REALLY just say at the end of the video that he was getting another sister...? From anyone else it would be a lovely sentiment.... from Josh, it's horrific.

YOU HAD ONE JOB, DUDE. All you had to do was film a short video without saying anything stupid, offensive, creepy or controversial. That's all.
FFS, how stupid are you.

So maybe Joshley will be the next Jon Gosselin? Lol

My prediction: I really think Josh will leave Anna and pull a Jon Gosselin, except on a grander scale. He will write the coveted Duggar tell-all, but will put us in a bind (wanting to read it, but not wanting to support a dead-beat piece of crap.) Also, the issue of credibility and verisimilitude will come up. There will be lots of tabloid photos with hookers and blow, possibly with Josh himself as an escort or stripper, juxtaposed with sad, teary-eyed photos of Anna. For those saying it can't/won't happen, where there's a will, there's a way. Someone as fucked up as Josh simply can't be contained for very long. Imo, it's not a matter of if, but when. I hope to be proved wrong, but I'm not particularly optimistic.

I doubt Josh could get work as an escort or a stripper. Male strippers are generally expected chiseled bodies, and we all know Josh is too lazy for that. Plus who would pay to have sex with him? Ewww.
