Welcome one and all to the Official VelociRapture Cheat Sheet for the extended Duggar family. These are very basic summaries. I don't watch the shows, so I wrote these using a combination of FJ, socia

Hmm. You said that they use the modesty standards from the bible, but you weren't sure where from. I'm pretty sure there's a part in Genesis where Eve realized she was naked after eating the forbidden

Did my best with updates. I updated various ages, added info about the known pets, added information about Jeremy’s studies at The Master’s Seminary, and added a bit about Joy’s shilling of the weight loss program.

As always, please let me know if you see anything missing or that needs to be changed!

Oh, Joy.....once upon a time, she wanted to be a nurse, now shilling for weight loss things on Instagram.

Rewatching this just makes me angry. Jessa wanted to be a beautician. Jinger wanted to be a chef.

Just did a bit of brief updating - mostly just ages, but I added information about Ivy’s birth, pregnancies, Mary’s death, and the Forsyth’s loss as well.

@VelociRapture your work on these summaries is impeccable and all of FJ bows to your greatness. Brief points that could be included if you get a chance/feel like it: the Vuolos move to LA, and the birth of Ivy Jane Seewald.

Those were already included. :)

I don't know if it's a good place put this but I feel like Lauren now-Duggar and Lawson Bates would have been a good match.

Why? I think he would want someone hot and fun, while Lauren is very serious.

Because they love music and singing, they love doing community stuff, family stuff, they are country but glamourous.. But I understand what you meant !

They both love attention too much, they would have to fight each other for the spotlight.

I can think of a great way to protect children from "starring" in reality tv, before they are old enough to give consent.

Create a law that says the kids must receive pay and that this pay must go into a trust until they are 18. The pay could be based on the time they spend onscreen.

I think we'd see far fewer families rushing to exploit their kids on TV, if they parents can't look forward to making a lot of money and quitting their day job.

Parents could receive some pay, but a modest amount (say, $500 a show) because the real draw is their kids. (Would anyone watch Counting On if Jessa and company were childless? It's unlikely.) Spurgeon, Henry and their cousins, OTOH, would get the bulk of the money, but that money could not be touched for any reason--not even education or food and shelter (there'd be too much potential for abuse if that was the case). Spurgeon and co. would receive their money, in full, when they turned 18.

Mega-family reality TV would end pretty quick.

Include youtubers in that.

Aren't I too old to forget to eat lunch?
So now....do eat a late salad and be cranky before bed because I want dinner and it's too late to eat or....do I tough out the afternoon cranky at my desk and eat dinner?
      The dilemma is real.

So excited, happy. Finally I got my vaccination appointment. The first on the 26th of May , the second on my birthday.  Staying at home is no option, because I work in healthcare, with very close patientcontact. (I make mammograms). Hopefully I can relax a bit more after my vaccination and let the anxiety go.

My uncle just died from COVID. He wasn’t that much older than I am, so I kind of grew up with him. Just ten days ago my mom had been pleading with him to get vaccinated, but he wanted to wait to make sure the shots were really safe. I’m kind of devastated.

I just found out my little bonus kid is in a treatment center on a suicide watch tonight. He and I share a hobby and a couple weeks back he opened up to me that he's severely depressed and was wanting to hurt himself. I let his parents know and thankfully he had also been talking to them. I'm just heartbroken because him being in this center means that his parents had to call 911 and have him admitted and I know that was so hard for them to do. He's a young kid and has his whole life ahead of him but just wants to end it all and I don't know how to help him.

Middle aged woman with mommy issues...but missing her today.
She got so much wrong with me, but she had the best intentions and tried so hard.
She got so much right, too.  I forget that sometimes.  Sometimes I remember and dismiss it out of spite.
“They did the best they could with the tools they had.”  I forgot where I first heard that but I’ve carried it with me like a mantra since my parents passed.   They truly did.  Whatever else was missing, whatever I needed that they couldn’t give, the love was always there.

      Always.
      That’s something.
My confidence in my own abilities.  Faith in my own power.  My own strength.  They gave me that, too.
      That’s also something.
They’re why I’m messed up, but they’re also why I’m okay.

      Shit’s complicated.
She died before I figured out how smart she really was.  Sad thing is I don’t think ever figured that out for herself.
Ignore me - just crying in my car waiting to pick up my son.
