Man Arrested for Delivering Meth to Mail Room

The US Post Office is not amused.  And Missouri Man probably just figured out that playing with the mail like this elevates this to a federal offense.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A man who had a parcel sent to a Lincoln University mailroom on 822 Chestnut St. has been arrested for trafficking drugs in the first degree on Tuesday.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Services called the Lincoln University Police Department and told them about the parcel. A K-9 unit confirmed that narcotics were in the parcel.

An investigator sent the suspect, Mark Gunnels, a message saying that the parcel was available for pick up. When Gunnels was leaving the mailroom with the parcel when he was detained by the Lincoln University Police Department.

Inside of the parcel was a coffee maker. Once the coffee maker was taken out of the parcel, the police found 710 grams of methamphetamine.
