RIP Rober Osborne

Turner Classic Movies Host Robert Osborne died earlier today at the age of 84.  He had been absent from TCM for about a year and I assumed that he was ill, but I did not know the details.  Robert was a private person.  I just wish I could have gone to a TCM Festival while he was still there.  I'd have loved to have met him.

Condolences to his family, the TCM family and all us TCM fans.  We will miss you, Robert O!

As a fellow TCM fan, today's news was hard.  This was as much of a blow as when Huell Howser passed.

Robert will be missed.

I am thinking about going to see All About Eve tomorrow evening in memory of Bob even though I already went to Sunday's matinee.  I remember the conversation that he and Alec Baldwin, I think it was, had about the film and how they don't make such witty films anymore.
