I guess I am alone in liking the picture. They look good together, although I am waiting for her to stop looking like a child bride. Every time I see her I think of that movie Baby Doll, the old one with Karl Malden.  But I will commiserate in one thing, that picture should have remained private, the public didn't need to see it. 

They look good together as a couple (they look decent in their pre-church pics and the like), it's more that this particular picture is just sooooo forced and stiff that it ends up just looking creepy and awkward.

I didn't have any problem with that photo until I read this thread. You guys are right, it comes off as suggestive and weird. The longer I stare at their expressions the creepier I feel.

I don't know why, but for some reason this photo isn't evoking much of anything for me (good, or bad).
I mean, I get everyone's points, and don't necessarily disagree that just beneath the surface there's probably all sorts of meaning behind it.  But just on the surface?  Eh *shrug*

It was a professional photographer. It's from the same shoot as this pictures, where Alyssa tagged the photographer. I still really want to know if she told John and Alyssa to pose that way or if they came of with that on their own.

I finished the episode.  I'm hoping that seeing their mother cry and gush over her teachers and former classmates impresses upon at least some of the kids.  It was interesting to see the kids react with awe to the high school.  How big it is, how nice it looks.  It makes you wonder what they had been told about public schools.

The only ones the school visit may have impressed upon are Zach and Whitney. I say that because Whitney went to public school. Maybe she has some good school experiences, then again she maybe she doesn't. Regardless of how their kids are educated, they will still be fundie and have vile beliefs.

The kids, even the little ones, were so engrossed in and thrilled with the science teacher's presentation that it's sad they won't get more of that. It's obvious the curiosity and interest is there but it won't be nurtured.

Honestly, I find the 1-month picture of Lexi weirder than the sexy bedroom shot of Alyssa and John. We know they have their sexy time, but I don't know why in the world a 1-month shoot needs to be romantic. Furry white rug and rose petals? The only non-yuck part to me is that at least MAYBE Alyssa's doing that to differentiate between her children ... Allie got the month circles, Lexi's getting rose petals. If she can keep that up and distinguish between all her children for her whole life, that'll be a step up from her parents. Still ... I find it extremely odd and not fitting at all for an infant.

I actually think it's pretty. I agree it's a bit 80s but I've noticed the high-necked lacy blouses are back in style - minus the ginormous shoulder pads.  I've seen them a lot at church and also on more than a few secular fashion blogs.

So I'm not sure if this needs to be in a different thread but have the Cain boys/that Devonna girl been discussed? They all pop up a lot on the Clown-attending Bateseses instagrams and friends accounts. Maybe they're just Clown friends, but considering the insane "no boy-girl friendships or thou shalt be shamed on the quad as an example to all" rules, they do seem to be around a lot.

Also if the lord Cheesus should lay it upon anybody's heart to direct me to links to watch BuB I would be very grateful!
