Anna Matrix is back

I feel like humming "the cat came back the very next day" upon discovering her blog is back. She's a fundie who is obsessed with figuring out the exact date of the rapture while dabbling in a lot of messianic Judaism. About every 6 months she predicts the date of the rapture and comes up with all of these clues (weather events, middle east unrest, to justify it) During the whole rapture debacle in May she shut down claiming she was totally going to get rapture, and then took a break from blogging. But at some point (I'm guessing the unexpected earthquake on the east coast?) she came back and is now predicting another rapture.

I can think of a lot of fundie parents whose children must be miserable because they are underfed and malnourished (Emily of under 1,000) abused (Pearls and their followers) ignored (hower monkey Duggars) forced to do all the work of being a parent while living a life of arrested development becuase getting a job or pursuing an education or independent life is a sin while being encouraged to develop a creepy emotionally unhealthy relationship with your father (most SAHDS). But it's hard to even comprehend what it must be like to be Anna's kids and have a parent who has this unhealthy fixation on the world coming to an end. Would she even be motivated to educate her kids or take care of them if she's convinced they will get raptured tomorrow?

I thought in the Matrix, the girl in the red dress was suppose to be a distraction....it's been a while since I watched it though so I could be wrong.

She was. But Anna who is all into hidden meaning fails to get the irony of it.

Anna has written several long blog posts about how the matrix is a big christian allegory, even though the writers/directors were not christians. Here's one a few of them

Anything that is popular is NOT of God. Let me just repeat that - anything that is popular has NEVER been of God. Think about that for a moment. There's always a catch, something there that's set up to snag. And I have NEVER been a part of anything that is popular for that very reason.

But...but...The Matrix!!

Um, and not because you are a crazy loon? Are you sure?

Her kids must be traumatized. I grew up fearing the rapture because my mother was hard-core into end-times prophecy and made sure we all shared her knowledge. I would lie in bed at night and beg God to save me because I was so scared. Any time I lost track of a family member, whether at home or in a store or whatnot, "I've been left behind" was my first thought. Seriously, our idea of family movie night was the Thief in the Night series. As a child, and being told that the events depicted were the gospel truth, I had the pants scared off me. Anna is ten times worse, and her children must be suffering.

I can't get over how arrogant and downright mean she is. I know of internet fundies who are way hardcore in eschewing the world, etc who are much nicer than Anna is. And you know what? She has no credibility to be preaching the stuff she does. Apparently christians are sheeple because they don't believe the same crazee that she does, and they aren't busy predicting a biblical event like she is.

When I first started reading Anna, I thought she was someone who was real about her life not being perfect. Then I realized she is actually a person who bitches and complains about everything.

Truth! Anna is to bitching as a fish is to water. Nothing - and I mean nothing - makes her happy, with the possible exception of Rapture porn.

She gets these "green lights" from...er...god to do things even over the objections of her husband - like, for example, producing another child he doesn't want. She was hoping for a girl, as a reward for all her faithful prophetic service, and posted this nasty screed about boy-children - she already had some boys; they must feel soooo loved - when she learned her wish hadn't come true.

Um, is she suggesting that 24/6=3 here?

aNNa'S NoTe: 24 doesn't divide evenly by 7, but it does by six. Gives you segments of THREE. Kewl beans if you're into Biblical numerology, btw. What are your thoughts on this?

The woman in the red dress wasn't actually January Jones - it was someone named Fiona Johnson.

And, yes, Anna is crazy. She does a lot of her basic math incorrectly, as well.

I also loved this bit from 2009, about leaving a Rapture Letter so your loved ones know what happened when you suddenly disappear:

See I just assumed mjb was right.

Also, I decided to really dislike Anna after the god wants me to get pregnant/lying to husband/ then bitched about having another boy. To me it proved she wanted a girl, not a baby. And god had nothing to do with it.

And her fundie friend didn't even catch it--left some comment about the beauty of God's design. LOL

That's not SOTDRT. That's "never made it through the first grade"!

Anna has posted pictures of herself before, and she's pretty much always staring balefully at the camera. Even in her wedding shots, she just glares and glares. It fits quite well with how she writes, with doom being the only thing that pleases her. Even when good happens to her, she finds some way to bitch about it.

I remember - it was maybe a couple of years ago - when she talked about how she would deliver a quick death to any extended family member who wandered onto her property after the world descends into chaos and the government falls. It was a serious WTF moment and it fits in with her general tone of cruelty.

Okay, she JUST posted a new post, and she's pretty much convinced the Rapture is happening in 2 days.

In the link I posted about the Rapture Letter, two years ago, she was predicting the Rapture would happen in 4 days (Rosh Hashanah 2009.)

How many times does she have to be wrong before she just gives. it. up?

Okay.. I get most fake Jews.. they think they are being more Jewish by keeping the Torah.. but has anyone every explained WHY we are supposed to keep the Torah? I thought Jesus took that away. Perhaps my read through in the Bible lead me no where.. but I just don't get this whole idea that keeping Torah makes you more favorable to God? Help? Seriously, Anna provides so much entertainment for my partner and myself that we were lost without her crazy before bed every night.

I, too, feel sorry for her children. I hope they find a good therapist in their grown up years.

      Stupid loneliness!
Kid 1 went back to college (yeah! But sad foe me, she stayed with me all summer. It was nice to start a new phase in our mother/daughter relationship)
Zero prospects on dates. (Not that I have tried online dating, scared of that but I have reached put to a new group at church, etc.
I asked a friend to go to dinner the other night so I wasn't eating alone, again. The friend had plans, all my friends always have plans. I see stuff on social media, I'm never invited. I'm single, I'm the 3rd or 5th wheel.
My one parent friend at kid 2's fall sport won't be there because their daughter made varsity (Yeah for her!!! Seriously happy for her. Sad for me for another sport I basically sit alone, did that majority of spring and summer sporting events.)
And now I'm crying as my mom told me 2 different funny stores that former teachers remembered about my twin. Both stories were about how they got a crack out of my twin's antics (my parents went to a funeral today and saw former colleagues). Teachers remember me (after all I was a twin and teachers' kid) but none would have memorable stories of me.
      I feel invisible.
Don't worry, this will pass,  it always does. I just need a pity party for a few days. I'm not in anyway going to harm myself. As lonely as I am, I have a very full life I (usually) love. I just needed to vent and cry for a moment.
If you are still reading this, thanks Fjer. 😊

Absolutely awful about the fires on Maui. In 2019, I stayed in Lahaina. I liked to sit on the sea wall, which is the only structure left now, and watch the water. People are receiving help, but many had to leave pets. Please donate to the Maui Humane Society, which is leading efforts to find, treat, and reunite pets.
